The Protector and the Vengeful Instruments

                 "Today, the sacred amulet of Grimoire will again choose its rightful master from these courageous warriors, and only one will be soon called, the protector. With his righteous heart to protect the weak, and the power of the amulet of Grimoire to diminish and destroy evil, we can attain peace and prosperity“. Says King Conandus followed by a shout of joy and praise from the light walkers- people of Nethilore.                      The king left the Altar of Ogun and joined them. The amulet of Grimoire light up brightly, so bright that no one can even stare. Then slowly the light formed into an image of a woman. But unlike any goddesses dressed in an elegant white dress, this woman is wrapped in holy chains. The chains spread across the hall of the castle. Its hair is as yellow as gold and as shinny as the sun. King Conandus bowed to the spirit and everyone followed.                     "Lend us the power of the light, Oh great Grimoire! So we can defend the weak from the strong and we swear to protect the light realm with all our strength and might!" Says King Conandus.   Then the brightness went out and the amulet disappeared.                       Everyone was shocked and can hardly utter a word. The amulet as the only thing that could protect them from the wrath of the Soul Staff of Ascarus is now gone for a reason no one can explain.     "My King, what happened? Where is the amulet of Grimoire? “Says the lead chancellor Vathru.   “I don't know”...the king replied with a shaking voice.                       The entire hall was covered in tension as everyone was shocked as this is something that never happened before. The amulet of Grimoire would normally choose a master and unleash its power and turn itself as a Grimoire armor and become one with its bearer. But this time it did not.   “The kingdom is doomed. We are all going to die! Who would protect us from Ascarus? Cry of a lady from the crowd of Lightwalkers.   “But we should not turn ourselves in to Ascarus, he’s cruel!” a man shouted.   “Pull yourselves together! How could you all lose your faith in Grimoire! She has kept our kingdom safe for centuries!” replied by King Conandus in a furious voice.    “I can still feel its power, the amulet of Grimoire didn’t disappear!” Says the spirit guide Caspir with a smiling voice. Caspir is an old man who practices magic and have been serving king Conandus for years and his entire clan for centuries.    “Where is it? And why did it disappear?” asked by King Conandus.    “I don’t know at all, all that I can say is that I can feel its power. And that it has never disappeared. It is just far away from us. It seems to be far from the light realm.    “But why it did not choose a bearer and disappeared?” asked by King Conandus.   “Please forgive me my King for I don’t know the answer either. Perhaps I could get some answers from my Scepter…          *** Mortal Realm                         … {Bell Rings…} Good bye Mrs. Lowery! Said the children while approaching the exit door of the classroom.   “Hey Zack, wanna hang out tonight? It’s the last day of school man! We can watch Anime all day, play video games and more!” said Lee in an inviting tone – Zack’s best friend.    “I don’t know Lee, I'm  gonna have to ask my mom first” Zack replied.    “Woahh woah wait, so you’re a good son now? Hahahahah”. (Lee mocking Zack)   “No i***t! I just have to tone down a bit after you hit our window with a baseball bat last week remember? I mean, I would understand if it was a baseball “BALL” you know! But for the bat to flew that high? That’s unheard of Lee Finely!”…   “Oh man I’m sorry, I told you I just lost the grip to the bat Hahahahah.”…   “Whatever, just come to my house later this afternoon. “Said Zack …    “You got it! See yah later buddy! Lee replied. Both left separately, Lee with his skateboard and Zack with his bicycle.        *** Kingdom of Avrok                     A man in the black cloak appeared...    “My Lord, I came to deliver a very important message. The amulet of Grimoire disappeared! And it did not choose anyone from the elite warriors of Nethilore! There is no protector! It is gone and we can now invade Nethilore, no one is as strong as you with the absence of the amulet my Lord”.   What did you say? Asked by Lilith – Ascarus’ right hand. A female demon with the power to control demonic creatures. She stepped inside the castle hall and walked towards the man on the black cloak.  A black serpent appeared from her sleeves and she kissed it before letting it crawl on the man’s shoulders. “You understand that it would cost your life if you lie before the Lord Ascarus right? Asked Lilith in a threatening voice.    “Yes Lilith, I understand and nothing of what I said is to deceive you or the Lord Ascarus. You know that I have been in Nethilore for years just to collect information and watch the Lightwalkers. And I’m loyal to the kingdom of Avrok!” And then the serpent disappeared.                    Ascarus stood up from his dark throne “I guess he is saying the truth”. Although I can feel its power, it seems far from the Light Realm. It must have chosen its bearer and looked for it and if it is not from Conandus’ pets it must be someone who doesn’t possess that much power as of now. This is time I have to kill the protector while he is weak and rule to whole Light realm.” Said Ascarus.    “We should invade the kingdom of Nethilore now Lord Ascarus! They are weak without the protector, this is the best opportunity we have. We have waited years for this!” Said Lilith.   “No Lilith, hold it and I have something important in mind.”  Replied by Ascarus. He lift the soul staff and called its power. “Calling all the souls that give power to the soul staff! “Reveal the place where the Amulet of Grimoire’s is and bring my beloved follower Lilith there so she could kill the protector for me…with the power granted to me as the King of Avrok I ask thee to fulfill may command!!!”   Dark clouds started covering the whole castle of Avrok, followed by gigantic lightning one after another. The center stone of the soul staff glow. Souls singing a terrifying tune started to appear, some are laughing, some are weeping they all turned into a purple light and formed a portal.   “My dear Lilith, kill the protector and bring me the Amulet of Grimoire! Commanded by Ascarus followed by a very terrifying laugh that echoed with the entire kingdom of Avrok.    ***Mortal Realm                    Zack approached the Crescent Bridge that connects the city road to his home. He’s almost near when he saw something glaring from the sky. It seems to be coming after him. He stopped for a bit and observe the glowing thing slowly falling. It appears to be bigger and this time it is falling on a faster speed. “Oh my God what the heck is this thing” said Zack in a confused voice. He realized his mom is at home at must have been terrified so he drove his bike the fastest way he could to reach home and secure that his mom is safe. But the light dashes towards him and the place was filled with light…                              “Why would the amulet look for the protector in this realm full of weaklings?” Said Lilith, after being brought to the mortal realm by the soul staff. Next to her is a weird looking house with a smoke coming out of it. She followed the smoke and found a woman.    “Dahlia?” uttered by Lilith in a confused way, why are you here? Where is the amulet! Shouted by Lilith while summoning her serpent scythe.   “Lilith? Why are you here! And why are looking for the amulet here?” Dahlia replied.   “I don’t care about you, all I need to know is where the amulet of Grimoire is!”                        She threw her scythes and it transformed into a boomerang. Dahlia was able to able to dodge the attack. She ran towards the house, she closed her eyes and a double-bladed golden sword appeared on her hand.    “You cannot run from me Dahlia you know for a fact who is more powerful between the two of us.” Lilia faded and appeared in front of Dahlia. Lilia threw a punch and hit Dahlia in the face and she fell on the ground.    “Now tell me where the amulet of Grimoire is!” Shouted by Lilith while holding Dahlia on the neck held up high.   “I don’t ….know!!! “ Dahlia was able to escape by making her sword appear as a dagger and stabbed Lilith in the left side of her head. Lilith felt too much pain and loose grip on Dahlia’s neck and she fell.                                  Zack opened his eyes and found himself lying on a pile of dry grass inside the mini forest on the side of the road. He feel dizzy and all he can remember is the time he was driving fast to go home so he thought he may have ran over a stone on the road or something that led to the impact.                   He was about to feel his head with his hand when he saw a weird looking object on it. It is carved with figures and shapes he do not even understand. Inside it is a crystal like white object glowing consistently. Then he remembered his mother all of a sudden so he put the weird object inside his pocket and look for his bike. He saw it nearby but it is broken with its parts scattered. “Oh no, I’m sorry mom” he said to himself and end up running instead to reach home.
