The mysterious girl

Jacob,a new father stares tearily at his new baby. " Who's a cute baby?" He asks in a childish tone really excited. His mood changes as his wife seems to be struggling to breathe. " Please get the doctor " she says as blood drips from her nose. " Please stay strong for me,I'll be back in a minute" he says,drops the baby in her crib and runs to get the doctor. He immediately returns with the doctor beside him. " Sir,please excuse us" the doctor says and Jacob leaves them taking his baby. He stands out for a few minutes regretting his actions. He was warned about the consequences of his actions but he refused to obey and now he is paying the price for it. " A gret cannot make a family with a gremlin. There would be great consequences. You might lose both your wife and your child. Why do you want to ruin her family? " his grandmother had said to him when he returned for a Christmas holiday with his love called Evelyn. The words echoes in his mind and he breaks down in tears. " Mr Jacob " a female voice says and he looks upwards only to see a nurse standing in front of him. " I'm sorry to say this but your wife just passed away " she says feeling really sorry for him. A thunderous sound is heard as lightening strikes the place. Three horses appear in the hallway of the hospital and the men on them comes down. " We were sent to take you and our princess " a man with wierd eyessays. his eyes had fire in them and seemed scary. If not for the fact that everyone had been frozen,there would have been commotion because all grets had amazing looks and he was not an exception. " Princess?" Jacob asks confused. " Yes,we have no time to waste as the Gremlins are coming for us " he says and they all disappear in the twinkle of an eye. Immediately they leave,the gremlins arrive and stare at everyone. Natasha,the leader of the troop snaps her finger and everyone starts moving. " We are too late,what a waste of vixel dust turning ourselves to fill time humans" Natasha says and they leave the arena. Jacob arrives at his realm,he walks to his house with regrets and confusion. All the guards stand in accordance as their prince sets in. " Welcome home " Jacob's dad,king Aron says to his son cheerfully. " Thanks. I thought you vowed to never accept me back here" he replies standing at a clear distance from his father. " Are you really going to still be this stubborn??. You should be really grateful." His dad asks infuriated but Jacob doesn't even move an inch. " Do you still have your powers??" " Maybe " Jacob replies and his majestic wings come out of his back,his eyes shines with a bright,gold light. " Good " his dad replies. " Yeah" he replies and walks away to his room. Of course,it looked same as he left it,they had always hoped that he would return home some day forgetting about his newly found love but he never returned. Not until now atleast. " Can I come in" Ariel, asks behind him. " Even if I don't let you in,you can already read my thoughts,can't you??" He asks staring at her magical hologram. Ariel is one of the best grets in history,she is really blessed with amazing powers and holds the record for being the greatest achiever of good deeds and people. As grets,their duty from the supreme God was to ensure that good continues in the world and they had to admit that they were loosing to the gremlins as evil had taken over the world. " I'm still standing here" " Get in" he says and Ariel appears before him immediately. " Oh little brother,you have endangered the whole kingdom. You ruined your life with your own hands and you know that you are the cause of every misfortune this child will go through. She will always have a competition between good and Evil in her heart." " That's why she is here" " Explain " " If she stays here for the first fifteen years of her life living with good people then she will adjust to it" " The evil side is a part of her,I wonder what her gifts will be " Ariel says and leaves immediately. " I can see you " Jacob says staring at the statue behind him. " You're good " Jason says transforming back to his normal human structure. " I know,it's been a while" " Yeah,it's been a while since my best friend left me because of a female gremlin." " No need to make me feel guilty " Jacob says smiling. " I thought you just became a father today " Jason asks today. " Yes I did" " The why is she looking like a three year old " Jason says and Jacob turns around only to find out that the baby he placed in a bed has transformed into a somewhat matured kid. " This is really awkard " " Yeah,we need to see the mid wives " Jacob says taking his daughter. " Probably,have you given her a name??" " No but I think I have an idea on what to name her" " What??" " Phoebe" " Of course " " I thought we had gotten through that stage,you know that if she were to be a male,I would have named him after you " Jacob says to his best friend. " Of course" Jason replies and they both leave to the midwives. Five years later (earthly time),a fifteen years old looking girl wakes up excited. " Good morning " Emily who is Phoebe's cousin says to her while packing her bags. " Morning em" she says getting down from bed. " It's a really big day for the both of us " Emily says smiling. " I really hope we get sent to the same country and state" " That is very unlikely but we all have to hope for the best" "Yeah" Phoebe replies and gets ready for her big day. Every year,a day is set aside to send a group of grets down to earth to complete their mission,this usually takes place after they have proven that they have mastered their powers. They are sent to ensure the spread of good deeds I'm order to maintain a good lifestyle. They also sometimes protect humans and save them but they do have limits as to what they can do. Phoebe has not yet found her special powers and it has not been a good ride for her. " She is evil,she is paying for the sins of her parents,she is cursed" all these were statements she heard always when she passed a group of grets. She had had numerous emotional breakdowns and was really excited when she figured out that she would be allowed to go to earth but it came with a very grave condition. The conditions was that she had to perform better than every other gret in her continent. " Can I come in " her dad asks at the door. " Yeah dad " she replies and her dad hugs her immediately. " Stay safe sugar plum" " I will" she replies as tears well up in her eyes. " And whatever you do,don't ever make the same mistake I made " her dad says and leaves. " It's time girl " Emily says as the two portal beams stand in front of them. They place their fingers in to find their destinations. " What's yours??" Emily asks Phoebe. " The United States of America,how about you?" " Nigeria" " Let's hope for the best. " Phoebe says and jumps into her portal. Emily takes a three deep breaths and does so too. It's the beginning of a new journey for the team.
