He was crying softly. Suddenly, a tiny voice said, "Why are you crying?" Hathi looked down. It was a tiny ant! Her name was Pipilika. "I have no friends," said Hathi sadly. "Everyone is afraid of me." Pipilika smiled and said, "I am not afraid! I am small, but I am very brave. I will be your friend." Hathi was so happy. He smiled for the first time in many days. From that day, Hathi and Pipilika became best friends. Pipilika would sit on Hathi's head and they would walk around the jungle together. Hathi would help Pipilika to cross the river, and Pipilika would find the sweetest fruits for Hathi. The other animals in the jungle were surprised to see this strange friendship. A huge elephant and a tiny ant! But when they saw how kind they were, everyone wanted to be their friend too. This is the beginning of their magical adventure.
