Kael POV The journey to Moon Pack was quiet. Too quiet. The engine of the armored vehicle hummed beneath us, steady and controlled, like everything else in my life was supposed to be. Guards rode ahead and behind us, wolves in human form alert and watchful, eyes scanning every stretch of forest and road. The trees blurred past the tinted windows, tall and ancient, their shadows stretching like fingers across the path.
