History Of Witches

1099 Words
Scarlett I was in my last class of the day, the history of witches. This was the longest lecture of my life. "As we all know, witch's powers have significantly gone down along with our population. Witches only make up twenty percent of the supernatural community. We don't breed as much as wolves and create new life like vampires. Even when we procreate there is a chance our offspring won't have any power they can wield without a fairy or familiar by their side. This is why we have adopted our pure blood laws. We must never breed with any other supernatural creature. If you have not yet developed your powers, you must find a familiar by the end of the semester. You will not pass without one." The lecture was finally over. I ran out of there but was suddenly stopped by twins. "I'm Loki," the one with blue hair said. "I'm Link," the one with green hair said. "Hey," I said. "Want us to be your familiars," "No," I answered quickly. "But, you are so cute and we would love to be your familiars," Link said. "I'm good," I said. "Oh come on," "No!" I shouted as I pushed past them and headed to my room. "Damn it, I am trying to be nice." "Hey," Anna said. "Want to go grab something to eat." "Um," I was trying to say no but I saw her face. "Sure."  We headed over to the cafe in this big castle. "Oh, my goddess, Scarlett," Dasmine came running towards me. "Hey," I said smiling a bit. "You know her," Anna questioned me. "Um, yeah we came here together," I told her. "We are friends," Dasmine added. "She is a wolf," Anna said softly. "Um, I know," I said. "But, I mean, why?" "Why? what?" "Nothing," Anna said. "It's nice to meet you." "I told you, girls, she was weird," I heard a blonde girl say. Dasmine frowned. "If you have something to say, say it to my face," I said boldly. "Excuse you," the blonde girl giggled. "You heard me," "I'm a she-wolf darling, why would you be stupid enough to pick a fight with me," the blonde girl said. I felt my blood boiling. "Maybe because she knows we are stronger," Reese said coming up behind me. I felt this strange feeling in my chest. I knew all eyes were on me but it was something else. I felt like I was being watched by someone. I wanted to look around but I stayed focused on this blonde b***h. "My pack is here," "Oh, I am so scared," I said. "They aren't even your real pack." Three other she wolfs came towards us. "Is there a problem here?" One of them said. "No, I was just leaving," Dasmine said. "Dasmine," I called out in annoyance. "I don't want any trouble," Dasmine said. "Well, it is a good thing you saved your little friend," the blonde girl said. "From you getting your ass kicked," I said. She laughed and flipped her hair back as she walked away. "Apparently, you weren't paying attention to the lecture," Reese said. "This is why we don't mix with wolves." "Why because you're afraid of them," I said. He laughed. "You must know I am not afraid but they do outnumber us," he said. "I don't really care," "I can see that," Reese said. "But Olivia is with the only Alpha at this school so you may want to cool it until you get a handle on your magic." "Magic? I was just going to use my fists," I joked. "Ha! I like you," Reese said. "You are safe with me, let's be friends." Since he didn't know I was a demon, he didn't know that I could tell he was lying. It was one of my specialties. There was definitely something up with this Reese guy. Nightfall came and I decided to go for a walk. That was forbidden since night class started but I didn't care. I needed to breathe and take in the night. Demons also were night creatures just like vampires. "Are you lost?" I heard a soft voice say. "No," I replied. "You sure, your kind shouldn't come out at night," he said. "Well, I am a special kind of my kind," I said as I furrowed my brows. I was making no sense now. What was happening to me? "Well, perhaps you are tired of being a witch and want to be an undead," he said. "Maybe," I smiled. "My name is Zero," he said. "Scarlett," I replied. Zero had intriguing bright blue eyes and brown hair. He was soft-spoken, unlike any vampire I had ever met. His face was even gentle. I knew vampire's eyes turned bright blue when they feed. I guess he was out here feeding and I may have interrupted him. "So shouldn't you be in class Zero," I asked him. "I rather be alone," he said. "I know the feeling," I said. "You seem like the type that has many friends and likes to talk a lot," he said. "Really," I gasped. " Shocking." "Well, you do seem different," "For starters, I am out here with you," I joked. "Exactly," "Well, I should go though," "Yeah, the rest of my kind aren't as patient and kind," he said. "Goodbye Scarlett," he said with a small smile on his face. "I would say until next time but we shouldn't meet again." "Until next time Zero," I said as I waved goodbye. I was walking back to my room but I kept hearing rustling noises in the bushes. "Okay, come out," I said loudly. "Why are you here?" someone said from behind me. Damn, I was never off of my sense but I didn't sense this guy behind me. "I asked you a question." "Um, I went out for a walk, what are you the hall monitor," I said. "You shouldn't be out alone," he said. "But you can be out alone," "I am a wolf, I needed to go for a run," "Okay," "You need to stay out of trouble," "Thanks for the advice," "I'm serious," he said harshly. I looked into his intense light blue eyes and my heart began to race. "Do I make you nervous?" "No," I said softly. "You're lying to me, mate," "What did you just say," suddenly I was lifted up and pressed up against a tree. This blonde-haired stranger with dangerous eyes was kissing me. This kiss was wild and lustful. I couldn't believe I was kissing him back.
