My Turn

Scarlett "Let's hope no one else pops up and ruins another day," Olivia ranted. "Didn't this all start when the new girls arrived." Olivia and her friends looked over at me. Dasmine was by herself in a corner. "You okay?" Anna asked. "Yeah," I answered. I really wasn't. Dasmine figured out the connection between me and Colt. She wasn't upset but I knew she was a little hurt. She was avoiding me for the last three days. The dance was tonight. I wasn't going to go but Reese and Anna convinced me. They made a good point, I could dress hot as hell and make Colt jealous. Colt was avoiding me too. He didn't bother to look in my direction. He was too busy following Olivia around. She was talking about her dress and how Colt was dressing to match. She was going on and on about their relationship and how much they were in love. "Think fast," Olivia shouted before she threw a ball at Dasmine. Dasmine was distracted and didn't catch it. I was furious. I looked over at Colt and he didn't even say a word to Olivia. I closed my eyes and concentrated. "AH!" she shouted. A swarm of bees appeared. Olivia and her friends ran away as everyone laughed at their odd behavior. Colt finally turned to look at me. I looked away as soon as our eyes met. I felt his heart racing or perhaps it was mine. I didn't know, all I knew is that I needed him. I walked away and headed towards the woods. I felt him following. I didn't turn around until we were deep into the woods and I knew no one was around. I looked at him. His light blue eyes taking every inch of me in. He took two leaps and lifted me with one hand as the other tore off my top. "No bra," he grinned. That f*****g smile. His f*****g dimple. I kissed him deeply as he pushed me against a tree. "No one else can have you," he growled. He bit my lower lip and nibbled on it softly to ease the pain he just caused. He unbuttoned his jeans and let them pool around his feet. I was wearing a skirt so he just pushed aside my panties and shoved his now hard c**k inside me. He let out an animalistic growl as his eyes began to glow yellow. "Colt," he pushed into me faster and deeper. My back was getting scratched by the trunk of the tree. He grabbed the back of my head roughly and pulled me in for another kiss. Colt was slamming into me with so much force, I thought the tree would snap and fall back. I cupped his face and deepened the kiss as much as I could. I didn't need to breathe. I didn't need anything but his lips. I felt my body getting weak. It was becoming too much to handle. His lips left mine and went to my neck. "Colt," I moaned. I felt his fangs brush against my skin. "Wait." He bit into me slightly but stopped. He didn't say anything just pulled my hands above my head and roughly rammed into me until he came. We were both panting and trying to catch our breaths. He slowly let me down. He took off his shirt and put it on me. We didn't say goodbye or say anything really. We both went our separate ways. Several Hours Later "Do you like my dress?" Anna asked. "You look beautiful," I told her. She smiled and continued doing her hair. I looked in the mirror and almost didn't recognize myself. "Some demon King, I am," I said to myself. I was wearing a long silver sequins halter top dress with a thigh-high slit on the front. "You look amazing," Dasmine said. "Hey," I said surprised. I didn't expect her to be here. "You look nice." "Thank you," Dasmine smiled. "You guys ready?" "No," I responded. "Yes," Anna laughed. "Let's go." They both locked arms with me and walked me to the grand hall. I swallowed hard when we approached the doors. "Zero," I said confused. "I thought the vampires couldn't come." "Well, someone changed their mind," I looked over at the headmistress. She was looking straight at me. "Hello," Reese said cheerfully. "Damn, Scarlett." He pulled me into his arms. I pushed him back twice as hard. I felt a sharp pain in my heart. I looked up and saw Colt enter with Olivia. They were both smiling. He was smiling. "Come on," Zero extended his hand out and led me to the dance floor. "You know how to dance?" I asked him. "I was going to ask you the same thing," he laughed. "A demon that can dance." "Oh, demons have many talents, the number one being how to dance," I smiled. I felt his eyes on me. I didn't want to look at him but my body desperately wanted to. It wanted to know that he still cared. It wanted him to run up to me and hold me. Damn this, damn him. Olivia and Colt started dancing together. They stayed away from Zero and me. I was thankful for that. "Do I get a dance?" Reese asked. I rolled my eyes and saw Zero smile and laugh softly. "Fine," I grabbed his hand and danced two songs with Reese. Dasmine, Anna, Reese, Zero, and I started to dance as a group when all of a sudden the headmistress called for our attention. "Alpha Colt had an announcement he wanted to make," she said. Colt walked on stage with Olivia but she stayed behind him. He was standing straight in front of me and looking at me. He blinked and looked away. "I wanted to make this announcement here because I wanted it to be special. I have some of my pack from back home here and have made new pack members here. I wanted to take this time to introduce one more. Olivia," he paused and looked at me once more. "She is, she is. Olivia is beautiful and everything I. She will be my new luna. I choose her to be my mate." My heart broke inside my chest. I felt every sharp piece tear into me. Olivia pushed Colt aside and began to speak. It took me a minute to process what she was saying. "We asked our headmistresses to allow the vampires tonight because we wanted to give them a special gift. We thought it was time we showed them how much we care for them. With the help of the witches, we wanted to," Olivia waited as the witches gathered in front of the vampires. Reese and Anna walked away from them but they didn't join the other witches. Dasmine stayed by my side as I stayed by Zero's. "Let them have it," Olivia shouted. Suddenly, red paint fell over all of us. "I've seen this in a movie before," Reese commented. I looked over at him. He closed his mouth shut as he noticed the color of my eyes. I looked up and looked straight at Olivia. "My turn," I said. I removed the paint from all of us. Everyone gasped. "What the hell is she?" I heard someone whisper. "She's the vampire lover," another said. "Yeah, she is always hanging out with them," they said. I looked over at the headmistress. She didn't look surprised. She was smirking. I looked back at Olivia and let my eyes go black then let her see the inferno burning in them before I changed them back to black. "You're a demon," Olivia said nervously. Colt looked just as shocked. "Things are going to change here," I said. "You mess with the vampires and you will have to deal with me. It's time we rise up and show you who holds more power. And just think, if we join our numbers, we will be unstoppable." "You can't," Olivia protested. "Miss-," I cut her off. "I can, and I will," I said sternly. I twirled my hand in a circular motion then with my open palm extended forward I let out a gust of wind that threw everyone off their feet.  "Run away now," I grinned.
