Chapter Thirty-Nine

1271 Words

Maya lay unconscious in the backseat as we drove to the castle. To be honest I thought that Liam was joking, but I thought this was amazing. I was tempted to leave Maya on the doorstep, ring the doorbell and run but I knew Liam wouldn’t go for that. We pulled into the drive and Liam lifted Maya over his shoulder. “Oh, she's still bleeding a bit.” I said, looking at the trail of blood from her neck and down her face. “Well, since we are giving her to Charles, he won't kill you.” “No one should kill me because Maya attacked me first.” “Well, Maya is mother’s little princess.” I couldn’t help it, I busted into laughter. “That is so off.” Liam smiled. I opened the door for Liam and followed him through the hallways because I hadn’t been to the castle enough to know where everything was.
