"Asher is it you? Did you come to save me?" Skylar asked. The mysterious savior didn't answer, testing key after key until he found the right one. He finally opened the door to Skylar's dungeon. She couldn't get over it, freedom was smiling at her. She was feverish and her legs were shaking. The man stepped into the cell, took her vigorously by the hand and led her out. The two started running down the driveway. The savior stops from time to time to remove explosives from his backpack and place them at the entrance to certain dungeons. Seeing them, the other prisoners understood that it was an escape. They began to shout and beat the bars of their dungeons. "It's the last one I place. I hadn't foreseen all this noise." Skylar's savior shouted into the cacophony, crouching down to place another bomb. "We have less than five minutes before they realize someone is escaping." "There will soon be many guards on our trail." he continued, getting up. He firmly took Skylar's hand again and they both resumed their running. Already that her gait was not that of Asher, Skylar did not recognize the voice and in the race, she asked, panting: "Who are you? Asher sent you?" As the mysterious savior opened his mouth to answer, they heard guards shouting further away. "Catch them, they must not escape." The man took a remote control out of his pocket and activated it, generating a chain explosion that opened several dungeons and the prisoners broke free. Skylar and her savior took advantage of the confusion to gain the exit. Once outside, Skylar was out of breath. She could not take it anymore. She had given everything and her iron collar was choking her. She had to stop for a moment to catch her breath. But despite the small lead they had taken, their pursuers were hot on their heels and reinforcements were coming. "Stop them?" they transformed to take advantage of their physical lycan power. The pursuers closed the gap with terrible leaps on the ground and the walls. Alone, Skylar's savior could do nothing against them all and seeing that she couldn't take it anymore, he carried her on his shoulder, walked down a nearby alley and threw grenades behind him, causing the walls to collapse, and the obstruction of the passage. Time for the lycans to clear the way. They were gone. Having a strong odora, the lycans began to search them and follow them by Skylar's scent. Meanwhile, Skylar and her mysterious savior have entered the sewers. She had regained some strength and they were walking through the dark tunnels. "Who are you in the end? Why are you helping me?" she asked in a weak voice. "We don't have time to talk. Someone will explain everything to you once you are safe. Our pursuers are not far away. Come on, let's go." he replied, pulling Skylar hard by the hand again. As they walked through the subterranean tunnels in the dark and barely lit by a dim torch, the man seemed to master his way, turn after turn. But it wasn't long before they heard a noise behind them. Their pursuers, faster, had found their track and approached dangerously. The confrontation was imminent. The mysterious savior stopped short and tore off a grate which allowed the water to pass through. The current was strong enough to carry someone away. He said: "Let yourself be carried away by the current and when you fall you will be picked up by people who wish you well." "And you, how are you going to do it? Won't they pin you down, or recognize you by your scent?" Skylar asked worriedly. "Don't worry, I'll know how to get away from it. And for my scent, I went to the trouble of anointing myself with a product that masks the scent of lycans." the man replied as Skylar tried to make out his face behind his balaclava. "Wait, I want to know who you are before I go? I want to be able to thank my savior." Skylar resumed. "Here they are." said their pursuers, who could be seen in the distance. "Save yourself." said the mysterious saviour. With these words, he pushed Skylar through the hole and she let herself be carried away by the current which led to a stream where Skylar landed, plunging into the depths before finally resurfacing to breathe. Someone picked her up and grabbed her from behind, then pulled her to shore. "Don't worry." whispered a feminine voice in her ear. "You are in good hands. Skylar was exhausted, her strength almost completely gone. The woman put her on a horse, then got up and sat behind her and they rode off. Too exhausted, Skylar passed out, not knowing who had come to her aid and why. Inside, Grendel was the first to learn of the mutiny and Skylar's escape. "Don't say a single word to the people or the Lycan King. Find me this vermin and those who helped her escape at all costs. When I get my hands on them, I will make them suffer such atrocious tortures that they will beg me to kill them. Inform me of the development of the situation at the moment." The search continued all night without success. The next morning, the lycans gradually fill the genesia arena, the scene of Skylar's execution. Asher, resolved to save Skylar, and was leaving from his quarters when Ginger came to see him. He was dressed in an outfit that was both majestic and sinister. His white shirt was tied and buttoned all the way to the collar, beneath a black jacket embroidered with gold and adorned with gold buttons that felt heavy on his chest. His black pants were fitted and fell over black leather boots that reached his knees. The circumstances in which he presented himself to the people obliged him to dress in this way. "Hello my darling, how dashing you are!" Ginger said when she saw him, then she adjusted his jacket. Asher didn't answer. "Why are you so tense? It will only be a simple formality and then we can move on to more interesting things like our wedding, for example," Ginger continued. Asher, who was already ready, turned and left. "I'll be there. I'll see you from the bleachers." Ginger cried as she saw him walk away. As he was in the car driving him to the arena, Asher realized that rescuing Skylar wasn't going to be as easy as he imagined. First of all, the arena was located right in the heart of Darkfire city. That meant crossing the whole town with her on her back. Besides, the arena was huge and was probably going to be surrounded by guards that he would have to avoid without hurting himself, not to mention the men of Grendel who watched him closely. Once there, Asher entered the arena to the cheers of a tumultuous crowd who screamed frantically, ready to witness the execution. The Lycan King was not there. He had decided not to attend this show, which he found useless to say the least. But Grendel was there, sitting in the seat normally reserved for the king. He was nervous and embarrassed, occasionally having a few words whispered in his ear by a guard, probably giving him information on the development of the situation. As Asher approached the dais in the center of the arena, he was surprised not to see Skylar. The public present fell silent instantly as if a divine voice had ordered them to do so. All awaited the arrival of the prisoner to be executed and possibly a speech from Asher or Grendel. But Asher was not told by protocol that he would be making a speech, so he remained silent. After a few moments, the audience began to murmur and incomprehension beat. Why they had been brought together, some wondered. Finally, Grendel stood up. He raised his hand to silence the confused crowd, then he said: "Dear lycans of the Darkfire pack. Be proud to be pureblood lycans. The day you have all been waiting for has finally arrived. The day our prince proves his loyalty and clears the honor of our pack, the Darkfire... " Grendel continued in his speech. But afterwards, he was unclear and seemed to ramble in his words. It only took a few minutes for people to realize that he was stalling. "Where is the prisoner?" some shouted. "We want to see her blood flow now." shouted others. Gradually, the rumor that Skylar had escaped spread among the public and a frenzied madness took hold of the people and Grendel lost control of the crowd.
