the Backup

"We are coming and we have company, just try to hold them back!", I hear in my mind. It was Jackson. They were coming to us and we all heard it in our heads. The door cracked on fell open. All the tables and chairs flew and we had to dodge them. I could count at least a dozen of blood thirsty rogue eyes in front of me. they were drooling and looking at us like we were some kind of prey. They started to come in and attacked. Henry's wolf Mars was magnificent and I could feel Kuura's getting annoyed. He was slashing and killing in front of us and the wolves that could get past of him were slaughtered by Kevin's wolf named Coco. Coco was chocolate brown with piercing yellow eyes. Mars and Coco were both covered in liquid which I knew was blood. Kuura backed up to stay in front of Diana and the pups. There was only one red ligh left in the batteries and I just hoped that we could win this fight in time.

One rogue jumped over Mars and Coco and was snarling at us. He attacked and we were wrestling. He got his teeth on Kuura's tail and Kuura whimped. She quickly kicked the rogue so he hit a wall. Kuura ran to him and with a swift movement snap he's neck and the rogue was done. Kuura lifted her head when she saw tow rogues coming to Diana. Diana was ready to shift but Kuura jumped in front of her. I was not going to let her fight for as long as it takes. I fought the rogues and did not let them any closer of Diana. We kicked, scratched, bite and wrestled. Kuura managed to kill one and the other was seriously injured. Kuura paralyzed him by snapping his backbone. Diana was unharmed but she looked very serious. The first incubator shut down and Diana took a ventilator, opened the incubator and put the headmask gently on the face of the pup and started the pressing. I saw how she tried to stay calm so she could keep a steady pace.

Even if the bodies kept piling up there were still coming rogues. Coco was starting to get tired and slowing down. It was our luck that the room we were was so crowded that there could come only few rogues at the same time. And then I saw Coco flying. He hit the wall and didn't move anymore. Mars was doing his best keeping the rogues out but they were overcrowding him. I had to leave Diana's side to help Mars. We were in a weird sync and if one rogue escaped from another, the other could take it down. Then we heard Diana screaming: "Go to He*ll you fuc*king idi*ot!". Mars turned around in that instant and ran to help his mate. One rogue had slipt a past of us and was attacking on Diana. I didn't blame Mars for leaving me on the door by myself, he's first priority is to keep his mate safe and that's what he was doing. But Kuura was in trouble. I heard noises from another battle near us and I just hoped that Jackson and his fellows could get to us in time. And then I saw him, Tom was here and his beautiful dark grey wolf Thunder!

At first it looked like he was running on air. I had to check it twice when I realised he was running on top of the rogues like they were his soft rug under his feet. If I weren't in so deep s*hit I would have laughed my ass of. A rogue bit Kuura's hint leg and I let out a scream. It stinged more than hundred bees. Thunder leaped and ripped open the throat of the wolf's that was biting me. He quickly licked Kuura's head and started his work. Mars came back when he had secured Diana and I went to help her. Diana told me that the other incubator's batteries died approximetly 20 seconds ago so I quickly opened the shield of that incubator and started to ventilate the pup. I was exhausted and closed my eyes to get a hold of my hands doing. Diana showed me the right rhytm and I started to follow her. I was naked, covered in blood and just trying to breathe when there was all kinds of noises around me. I heard Jackson's Daemon and Jones's Koi being close. I knew we were going to make it.

When the last rogue was killed, Tom ran to me. "Are you okay? Are you hurt? Answer me!", he half yelled. "I'm fine you i***t! Don't disturb you when I'm trying to count!", I yelped at him.

"Yeah she is fine", Tom exclamed happily. Jackson, Jones and Henry were changed back to their human forms and were laughing. The lights suddenly switched up again and the incubators started working again. Diana and I stopped ventilating and put the shields back on. The pups were unharmed and I almost bursted to cry. My hands were still doing the pressing movement on air and Diana gently took my hands on hers. "We did it, Alina. And you were amazing!", she said. I was still swallowing a piece in my throat and that didn't help at all. Henry was checking on Kevin. He had transformed back and was breathing shallowly. "Diana, help", he said. Diana went to check on Kevin. I tried to walk there but my legs were shaking. Tom came to me and helped me walk to Kevin by holding me up. I kneeled to Kevin and checked him. "He needs a MRI and we need doctors here now. I think he has broken something on his back. You are not allowed to move him at all", I told them and Jackson started to mind link. Because he is an Alpha he can mind link whole pack at the same time: "It is over! The hospital has powers back so please can all the doctors and nurses arrive here immediately. All the injured come to the hospital and if you can't move by yourself ask us to help you". I heard it all in my head and started to plan how we could put a larger emergency station to the ground floor when Tom said: "You are going home with me".

I wanted to argue with him, but he snatched me on his arms and when I started to hit him on the chest he threw me over the shoulder and carried me like Tarzan. "I'll take her to rest if it's allright with you Alpha?". I could here the amusement in Jackson's voice when he said: "please do that. She has done enough for today. May she eat and rest and come back here tomorrow if she wants". I suddenly was very aware of me being butt naked hanging on Tom's shoulder. I told him to put me down but he didn't care, just kept on walking. "Please could you just give me some clothes, so I don't have to show my bare as*s to everyone I know!". Tom sae a cloth and put it on my as*s. Could he is just... Argh!
