Jackie POV I opened the door to the training center and swiped my access card. It's midnight and there aren't many people in the training center. I put all my things in locker 12 and went straight to the treadmill. I run for about an hour and then go and hop in the shower to rinse off before I go for a swim. I do about 20 laps and then pull myself up on the ledge of the pool with my feet still dangling in. Just as I catch my breath I smell my mom's sweet cakes and tears like the Mississippi river rushed down my face. All I can do is get up and run for the lockers. I get all my things stuffed in my bag and go to run out the front door when I see Stevens and his pack of w****s. They are all headed to the tennis room when Stevens stops and looks straight in my direction. He starts walking over to the locker rooms. He wouldn't actually come in here right? This is the women's locker room? I was dead wrong; he walked straight in without even announcing himself. Just as he was about to turn the corner where I was hiding I bolted out of the locker room and straight to my car. Stevens was yelling "come back here" as I turned my car on and peeled out faster then flies on s**t. I drive as fast as I can, nothing could be worse than this. When I got home I burst into tears. Why me? Why now? Well this gives me the perfect time to be released from this pack. I have been contemplating going rogue for a while now. If I can just get the alpha to release me from this pack. I'll go tomorrow evening and see if I can set a meeting with the alpha. I hope he isn't as much of an asshole as his dad is. I'm woken up by my alarm, which I set for 7 am. I jump out of bed and get in the shower I stay in a little bit longer than normal. I rub coconut oil all over my body before I put a purple lacy bra and pantry set on. Then I slip into a tight emerald green business type dress. A pair of black heels that make me 5'5" instead of my normal height of 5'3". As I head out the door to run errands and things I almost forgot. I run to the bathroom and look straight in the mirror "I Jackie Stone, reject you Stevens Nightingale as my mate." My wolf cries in agony but I just shove her in the back of my mind. Next stop the alphas office. It takes an hour to get to the alpha's house and office. It's also the pack house so I go get breakfast before I try and get a meeting with Alpha Derek. When I'm done eating I go freshen up in the bathroom. My cell phone rings. I looked at the number, I didn't recognize it so I let it go to voicemail. When I got out of the bathroom my phone rang again. Same number? This time I picked it up and a soft female voice said "Hello can I please speak with Miss.Stone its urgent." "S-speaking" I replied with a little bit of a stutter."Our alpha has asked that I call on his behalf. He wishes to meet with you right away." In too much shock I just stayed quiet. "HELLO Miss.Stone?" still in shock "I was actually on my way to his office now I also would like to talk with alpha Derek." Just like that I got a meeting with the alpha? "Great when should we be expecting you?" "Well now if he isn't too busy." After a few seconds of silence "that's perfect, have a nice day." What a weird lady. I go straight to the alphas office. Stevens POV "Megan, Tina, Steph, Lilly, and I are all going to the training center around 2am" Brock just glared at me and then rolled his eyes. John was more than excited he knew that Tina was his. Tina is 17 so her wolf is not awakened until she turns 18 in just a few weeks. I'm 19 and Lilly and Meagan are also 17. Brock is the only one of us who has found his mate. Brock found out he was mated to Steph, and was not happy about it. Steph is a higher rank than him and it gets Brock's panties in a twist. He hasn't even marked her and they have been together for almost a year. "We will have to meet you there bro" Brock replied in the most uninterested demeanor. John and Brock are brothers and they live together. I just nodded and we all finished dinner. We are usually the last to eat because we are either working or f*****g around. After dinner we all go our separate ways. I live in a very large elaborate house on a 100 acre gated forest. Brock and John live in town. They rent a nice 4 bedroom house, in the same neighborhood as their parents. When I get home everyone is asleep so I go straight up to my room and change and get ready to go pick the girls up. When I'm ready I go to leave. I'm met by my dad the previous alpha, "You know this is why your brother was given the alpha title. You will always be so immature staying out till midnight and then leaving again like you have no responsibility." He was one to be talking; he reeked of whiskey. I pull up to Steph's house and 3 of the girls come out pushing one another for what I can only assume was the front seat. Being alpha blood makes me somewhat of a ladies man plus I'm not too bad looking either. Tina gets in the back laughing at the girl's childish behavior. Megan slides in behind her pouting. The passenger door opens and Lilly sits down. Lilly is by far the most beautiful out of all the she wolves in the Silver Star pack. Steph quietly hops in the back and closes the door. When we get to the training center we all get out and the girls can't stop talking about my car. We all go in the front door and swipe our access cards. The second we walk in I smell cherry blossoms and figure it's one of the girls and their perfume. My wolf Luka starts going crazy "mate mate mate mate mate" I know this isn't one of the girls now because we drove here together. I pushed past the girls like they didn't even exist and followed the sweet sweet smell of cherry blossoms. It leads me to the women's locker room I walk right in. Luka has taken over and is looking everywhere for our mate. Before I can turn the corner the door to the locker room flies open and my mate runs out faster than you can say hippopotamus. I run after her demanding she come back to me at once. "Our mate is fast,'' I say to myself. Didn't even get a good look at her before she peeled out of the parking lot. Who was she? Determined to find our mate I go back home and wait for my brother to wake up. Why did she run from me? Do I know this woman? I hope she is of some kind of rank? Filled with questions I yawn and go to my room. I'm tired but I can't sleep all I can think about is her our mate
