Chapter 12 “You don’t look as bad as I expected.” Tony smiled when he saw Kirk standing in the doorway to his room at ten the next morning. “According to the doctor, I’m going to live.” “Yeah, she told me, after she got done checking you out.” Kirk came over to the bed, looking down at Tony. “How are you feeling?” “Like someone played slice and dice with me.” Tony chuckled. “Well, not that bad, since I only got sliced three times and none of them were life-threatening, she says.
