EXPERIMENT 101

Chapter 16: I am alone

She looks around bearing all the accusations of the people surrounding her. 

She knows that what she fights for will gain her hatred. She had reminded herself over and over again that she can stand for it. That even everyone will try to kill her she will still able to fight for it, but knowing and experiencing it first hand was different. 

She can feel her body weakens as her heart turns cold. 

She was alone. 

That's what she thought. 

She has no one here. 

No one to help her, no one to save her. 

Everyone wants her dead. 

She closes her eyes waiting for the bullet to kill her. 

"Miguel! Bring down your gun." 

She opens her eyes feeling the wet liquid on her cheeks. And seeing the man she never ever expect to save her. 

Timeus Del Roca. 

His face was so cold, looking in Miguel's direction, the man who raised his gun at her. 

"But sir, he is a monster." he insists. 

"Let go of the gun, else be detain." Miguel brought down his gun as he looks at her in anger. 

"What are you guys doing? Have you forgotten our code of conduct? Protect the civilians even if they are against or pro humex. Why no one stops Miguel." he coldly says, "Miguel your gun." 

"Sir--" 

"Let go of your gun and give all of your arms to no.608. Now." 

With the gritted teeth, Miguel gave all his weapon toward No. 608 

"Everyone of you will also receive punishment after this." then Timeus grabs her arm and walks away from the place. 

She allows herself to be tag by Timeus, feeling complicated in her heart. 

The man she least expects to save her was now holding her arm. 

"You should shut up." he suddenly speaks up when they are in front of her room door. 

She looks at him. "Shut up? And what? Let them insult the humex. I was just stating the facts here. "

Timeus looks back at Asharika eyes. "Miss Asharika, we don't need your stupid belief here." 

"I said I was stating the facts," she says between her gritted teeth.   

"Facts?" he says as his eyes already turn. "You really too naive Miss Asharika." 

Ashsrika's brows knit as she tries to take back her arm. "You let go. Who said I am naive?! You are just blind!!" 

"Blind?" he then pulls her in and pushes her on the wall, near then pushes her to the wall. 

"You are the one who is blind. Can't you see how they killed people without a second thought?" He says as his face near hers, looking down on her. 

Asharika looks back. "I am not. You are the one who is blind. Have you ever thought that they might be being controlled? And besides, No one wants to turn into a monster, Everyone wishes to be normal but their world has been ruined by these crazy people. They were been experimented on against their will. Why not before you judge them, try to know the truth. Why not hear them out first." 

"Hah. You really are naive. Really naive Ms. Gonzaga. Those being, even if they were controlled or not, nothing change the fact that they ruined a lot of families, kill the innocent, and ruined people's life.  But they are not Miss Gonzaga. They are cold enough to kill." 

Then she heard a robotic sound of the door opening. She then pushed inside. 

"You think properly their Miss Gonzaga," he says with his icy tone, in his eyes was an obvious disgust, that made her body turned numb. 

Then the door closes in front of hers. Asharika, feeling the cold water pouring out on her, stands up and goes toward the door, trying to open the door. 

"Timeus! Timeus! Open this door! Open this d.mn door!" 

But her voice was not heard, as her hand felt the pain from knocking on it. 

"Timeus!!" 

Her attention diverts when a floating screen suddenly pops out showing what is happening outside. 

Her eyes largen when she saw the humex body was coated with white, especially the black holes around his body. How can they be so cold toward the humex?

"Tell us why are you doing these?" Asks the voice of the man. 

The humex looks at them as he grins. "Pft. Hihihi hahaha, why? You ask why? Hihihi hahaha. You failures asking us why?" then he faces where the voice came, showing the eyes which cover with white. " you humans are the greatest failure and our food. Hihihi hahaha. We being are the perfect being. We are the future, while you are our stock foods. Pft. Hihihi hahaha. I was just readying everything for our lord. Yes, our lord. Our master---" he then put his palm on his head. "No.92, I was just stating the facts... stop it. I am sorry. I'm---" then his body suddenly burst.

Asharika felt all the things she'd been fighting for were for naught, especially after hearing the humex words.

"This... this is not... why?" then the tears fall on her cheeks.

She walks toward the screen trying to touch it, but it was just a projectile, she was not even able to hold on to it.

"Take back what you said! take it back! please take it back!" then she passes through the projectile screen and felt the cold metal, kissing her hand, it was as if the coldness walk toward her heart, giving her a great slap about what is taking place.

She wanted to roar, shout, and anything so that the humex will take back everything he had said. But how can she, if it was been publicize and the video of what takes place is solid evidence that everything is real.

Her whole body weakens as she sits on the cold of the floor.

"Why...I am fighting to prove it... I wanted to prove you're innocent... but why..." she hugs her knees, as she felt the warm water passing through her clothes. "Why...Why... am I alone..."
