CHAPTER 5: ASHARIKA’S FRIENDS

As she enters the room she sees two people quarreling inside. The one floating in the air, Jenievib, while the other one sitting on the sofa eating ice cream, Janine

"You piggy Janine. You are so selfish. I just want to taste some." says Jenievib. She is floating in the air like a ghost in front of Janine. Well, she is really has a ghost-like feature, with pale white skin, a semi-translucent body, floating like gravity doesn't exist to her.

"Why should I give you some? You are already cold, and if you eat it then, it feels like my spoon became icicle." Says Janine as she hugs the ice cream. She has a cute chubby face of a girl and a bald head. 

"As if. You are just being selfish. Hmph. Besides, Can you even taste it?" argues back Jenievib.

"No, but it is fun when it enters my mouth cause it is solid then melts." Says Janine in a child-like manner. "Even you can't eat this anyway."

"How can you be so sure? Maybe that ice cream can enter my body." Jenievib says in return.

She walks toward them as she sits on the sofa, sighing.

They both stop from their quarrel then look at her.

"What happens?" Asks Jenievib.

"We broke up," announces Asharika who was about to cry.

"Oh." They said in unison.

"Oh, is that what you gonna say to your friend who is down. You guys are so supportive." Asharika says with a bit of bitterness and sarcasm in her voice.

"What? That was already the 3rd one this year. Besides, it was already the 15th break-up since your first boy. What's new." Said Jenievib as she raises her brow.

"But at least that one takes a month and a week. And he was the longest one you had ever dated." Says Janine as she bites the spoon with ice cream.

"Humans were so troublesome." Says Jenievib as she floats up in the air.

"Aren't you guys used to be human?" I ask in bitterness.

"Used to be. Not human. They call us humex remember." reminds Jenievib. 

"Yeah." Chimes Janine as she continues to eat.

She pouts "You guys should just support me."

"What, with that bastard. No way. We hate him cause he hurts you. By the way how many girls this time. Is it 1 or threesome maybe foursome?" Asks Jenievib with a tint of interest in her voice. "I should go there to peek sometimes." She even added as if she is imagining what just happened.

"Jennie." She warns as she is worried about how this conversation goes.

"What?" Jenievib asks as she looks at her.

"Yeah, Jennie. If you plan to go, bring a camera and video it. We can upload it after." Adds Janine.

"Nine," she warns

"What? I was just curious how that stuff looks. And I was curious what his d**k looks like when he enters and how he has s*x. I just want to know if it really makes a sound when they do so." Innocently says Janine.

Asharika looks at them in disbelief not knowing whether to laugh or cry, at what these friends of hers are saying. "You guys." She says helplessly.

"At least we support you. Right, Janine." Says Jenievib in a proud tone as she puts her hand on her waist.

"Yep." Smile Janine and the two high five at it.

She can't help but smile at the two. Although weirdly, they made her feel much better. "I love you guys."

"Eww," Jenievib says as she looks away.

"I love you too Rika. Want some ice cream." Janine offers her.

"Hey, why do you offer her, while to me, you don't give me even a bit?" argues Jenievib.

"Cause I like Rika and Jenievib is not honest. So I don't wanna give it to Jenievib," explains Janine. 

Then the two quarrel once again.

She looks at the two and can't help but smile.

The two always quarrel but also the best of friends. Janine was a special kind of humex who can neutralize everything, not able to have emotion, and only copying people's emotions and actions. She just follows what has been told to her and does what is said to her on how to reply. She was learning well because she can now act and speak like a normal being, unlike the first time they met. She also can neutralize any type of thing that is thrown at her, neutralizing any kind of element and chemical, while Jenievib is a ghost-type humex.

With the body which was translucent and can pass through any place, she can also make herself invisible, and be only seen by the people she wishes to be seen. She normally eats the air inside the human body or any living organism. And every person she touches dies, and only Janine didn't and can even touch her, but because they were practicing to live like a normal human, she eats the air from the air the agency gave to her.

She was also a bit special cause she never had to die in Jenievib hand, even how many times she passes through her. She wonders if it has a connection to what happened when they all first met.

"Oh yeah, why did you two visit?" Asharika asks to stop the two from quarreling.

It was effective cause both of them stop and look at each other, then look at her.

"Rika, when Rot comes." Says Janine with a serious face.

She looks at Jenievib who can't look into her eyes.

"What's going on?" They both look at her. Jenievib with sad eyes and Janine with innocent eyes.

Her brows knit because the two won't even answer her question.

"Did something---" she stops talking as she suddenly smells rotting meat. "Rot." She says toward the unknown person, not knowing if she is a male or female rotting corpse.

But she thinks Rot is a she. Rot is wearing a mask all over her face and her body was covered with bandages as it was top with jacket and jeans, even her hand has gloves on it.

She smells like a corpse and her walk is the same.

Rot then gives Asharika a black envelope.

Asharika looks at it and then looks at Rot.

She then opens the letter as it suddenly flashes light in her mind, she is staring blankly, obviously digesting the information inside the envelope.

After that, she blinks, showing that the information is already in her mind.

She sighs, then looks at the three of them.

"I see." She smiles at the three of them. "I'm going to miss you. Be careful." Says Asharika in a sincere tone.

"Rika." It is Janine. "Why careful?" 

"Because if the anti humex really found you guys, they might kill you. You need to follow them, Janine." Explain Asharika to Janine.

"Won't you just come with us?" Asks Jenievib in a voice full of hope.

"You know I can't." She replies in a sad tone.

"Rika, this is dangerous. If you fail you might die." Add Jenievib.

"I remember before you don't felt sad rather you mock and scares me." Asharika tease Jenievib.

"Hey. That was all in the past, you. You--"

"You cute?" Add Janine to whatever Jenievib is going to say.

"Shut up Janine," says Jenievib in annoyance.

"It's not as if we won't meet in the future. We are just gonna go to another place. When we found a good hiding place and things were okay again we could meet with Rika again." Says Janine.

"Of course I know that. Hmph." Says Jenievib as she pouts like blowfish.

"You know but,---"

"Janine, Jenievib. Let me see each other in the future." Asharika cuts off to the two who are about to argue again.

"Who wants to meet with you? Hmph." Then Jenievib passed through the wall and left.

"What a tsundere." Says Janine in an emotionless voice.

"Janine, your tone." Asharika reminds her.

"Oh. Yeah." Said Janine in a cheerful tone as she nodded.

"Rot, thank you for the letter. I will burn this. You will take some of my memories, that's why you also came here right?" Asharika smiles toward Rot.

Rot nods her head.

Asharika goes to her room and dresses up as she destroys the envelope, and then goes back to the sofa. "Please Rot." She says as she closes her eyes.

The next thing that happens, hurt her head like something forcefully takes out from her head as her surroundings turned dark.
