Soulmate

A beautiful girl was sleeping on the bed.She looked innocent and angelic while sleeping. A lady came and opened the windows which let the sun rays fall on the girl's face. She murmured,"Mom...why did you open the window?The sun rays are disturbing my sleep.Please let me sleep".Yes,that lady was none other than her mother Avantika.Avantika knew that her daughter would not wake up until the sun rays fall on her face. Avantika said,"It's morning now.I's very late baby.Now wake up". The girl replied fast,"No way that I am going to wake up now". Avantika is not a mother who dances to the tunes of her daughter.She knew how to make her daughter obey her.She said,"Then see what I am going to do". She sprinkled water on the girl's face.She woke up with a frustrating voice,"Mom...what did you do? Avantika giggled and said,"Finally my Princess Shilpa has woken up".Yes,the beautiful girl’s name is Shilpa. A smile appeared on Shilpa's face. Shilpa said cutely,”Mom..you are naughty...”. Avantika had an answer for that too, "My naughty Shilpa's mother has to be naughty.Right?” They both laughed. Shilpa pulled her mother's cheeks.“My cute mom”. Her mother smiled. Now entered Shilpa’s dearest brother Raj. He had a tooth brush and paste tube in his hands.“My sweety..brush your teeth”.Raj knew that though Shilpa got up from the bed she would be lazy to brush her teeth immediately. Shilpa pouted,“Bro..I just woke up now.What is the need of brushing teeth now itself?” Raj just said ignoring her childish fussiness,“Open your mouth”. She opened her mouth immediately,not because she was scared of her brother,but because she loved his attention and loved to be pampered by him. Raj brushed her teeth. Then came a sweet lady with a cup of tea in her hands.She was none other than Raj’s wife Rakhi .She said with a sweet smile,”The coffee is ready”. Shilpa was excited like a kid who got chocolate milk shake.Because she loved to have bed coffee as soon as she woke up. Shilpa tried to take the cup of coffee from Rakhi,“Thank you Bhabhi”.(Bhabhi-Sister in law). But Rakhi did not let her take the cup as she knew what exactly Shilpa expected from her sister in law.Rakhi made Shilpa drink coffee with her hands. This was what happened every morning.Shilpa wanted the coffee to be fed by her dearest sister in law. Then came Shilpa's father..Keshav Sharma with a plate of food Keshav said with a pleasing smile,“Hey Shilpa..see what I have brought.Break fast for my princess. Shilpa was really pleased by her father’s sweet gesture.“Dad….you too?”Keshav just smiled and  started feeding her food. They all had cute family moments . Suddenly Avantika was overpowered by her emotions and went to her room.Avantika wore a mask of a strong woman.But deep inside she was very emotional.But she never wanted others to see her break down into tears.So she hid inside her room to release her pain through tears.But her husband Keshav knew her inside and outside so well that he knew what was going on in her mind that time.So Keshav followed her to the room. Keshav asked,”What happened Avantika?” Avantika’s lips shivered,”Keshav...we all love our Shilpa so much”. Keshav said,”Of course yes.Shilpa is our Princess”. “But our Princess needs a Prince too”. Keshav agreed with her nodding silently.Like a typical Indian mother who was worried about her daughter’s marriage she said, “She is ageing. But she is not getting married.I am worried”. Keshav consoled her,“Avantika...when the right time comes, her wedding will also take place”. This time Keshav’s words did not give her relief,”But Shilpa has to agree to get married.She won't agree to get married unless the boy in her heart gets removed from there”. Keshav became dull.” Avantika continued, "He was just her school mate.But she thinks that  its true love". Keshav replied disagreeing with what Avantika said,”Age is not an issue in true love Avantika.And he studied with her from LKG till 10th std.So their friendship was very thick.Her love is true and that's why till now she is not able to forget him”. Avantika said in a sad tone,”Shilpa is still waiting for him.But he…” Raj stepped inside the room hearing their conversation.“Mom...don't get upset.Today evening is the reunion party of Shilpa's school mates.He may come.Let Shilpa meet him.If he too feels the same for her, Shilpa's wait will get over and as we all wish her wedding will happen”Raj was optimistic about Shilpa getting the man she desires. But nothing gave solace to Avantika.“What if he does'nt love her now?Then what will be her condition?Our Shilpa will be broken completely.The dream which she carried in her heart for years will be scattered”. All were upset. Keshav said,“Avantika...what are you saying?Don't be so pessimistic”. Avantika said sadly,“I am scared Keshav.What if he does'nt care for Shilpa's feelings?Our poor girl will be shattered”. Raj said,“But then… if it happens even if Shilpa gets hurt, she will come out of illusion to reality.She may decide to accept the best boy chosen by you”. Keshav and Avantika were confused whether what Raj said would happen or not.But all they knew was Shilpa had to come out of illusion to see the world of reality.But what is the illusion?What is the reality?Was her love just an illusion or the biggest reality of her life? Shilpa got dressed in a beautiful pink gown.She applied make up.A light make up was more than enough to enhance her beauty as she was a natural beauty. Rakhi did not have enough words to give her a compliment,“Shilpa..you are looking beautiful.A real Princess”. Shilpa thanked her with a cute smile,“Thank you bhabhi(Sister in law)”.Shilpa just wanted to be he Princess of the man she has been adoring since school days.She just wanted to be his Princess in every way.That’s it. Rakhi asked her  in a cute teasing tone,“But today you took more time to dress  up.Because he is coming.Right?Shilpa was blushing. She did not deny it.“You are right.Today's party is very important for me as I am going to see him after many tears.The most  awaited moment is near”.Rakhi smiled.“I am sure that he will be lost in your beauty”. Shilpa blushed. Rakhi asked her,“You love him that much?” If Shilpa was sure about something it was about her love for him.She was breathing him,she was dreaming of him,her thoughts were about him.Shilpa replied,“He is my first and last love.People may find my love childish.But for me, my love for him is divine”. Rakhi just wanted Shilpa’s love to win.She wanted to see Shilpa happy with her man.Her inner voice kept saying,“I hope that  Shilpa's love wins and she gets her love”. Shilpa went for the reunion party. The place was decorated beautifully with glittering stars,different colour balloons and different types of flowers.But nothing struck Shilpa’s eyes,she just wanted to see her man.She was surprised to see her best school buddies Sankalp and Sonia.Sankalp was holding Sonia's hand and caressing it. She ran towards them not being able to control her excitement. “Hey guys”. Sonia exclaimed happily in greeting her,“Shilpa!” Shilpa was truly happy.“You recognized me”.“If I don’t recognize you, whom will I recognize Shilpa?”,Sonia asked playfully.Shilpa smiled cutely. Sankalp said,“You look the same Shilpa.So it was easy to recognize you”. Shilpa replied,“I also recognized both of ypu.You both also look the same”. They all giggled and hugged each other. A naughty question popped into Shilpa’s head.“Are you both dating each other?” Sankalp and Sonia giggled.“No”. Shilpa was not willing to believe it.“Don't lie.I saw you both romance”. Sankalp did not deny it.“Yes..we were romancing”. Sonia kicked her shoulder and said,”We are husband and wife”. Shilpa was surprised.“Really?I can't believe it.How did it happen?” Sankalp replied happily as he always loved to narrate their love story to others.Because for him,their courtship and wedding were termed as the most beautiful phase of life.“We were together in school after 10th STD also.Though  we were not in the same college also ,we kept in touch with each other.Unknowingly we fell in love”. Sonia blushed.“He proposed me and we got married”.Shilpa was fascinated by their short and simple love  story as love stories were always her weakness.Being a romantic person at heart her close friends’ love story grabbed her interest. “What a surprise!I am really happy for both of you”. Sankalp and Sonia smiled.Sonia asked her,“You tell us.Are you married?” Shilpa replied showing her dull face,”No”. Sonia asked again,“You are still unmarried?Why?” Shilpa just smiled. Shilpa looked for her man.She did not find him. Shilpa asked Sonia and Sankalp,”Where is he?”Without uttering his name itself Sonia knew about whom Shilpa was asking.She replied, “He is not interested in parties now”.Within a second Shilpa’s face faded like a dead leaf.After all she attended this party only to see him.She had been craving to see see him.She just wanted to get a glimpse of him.So when she heard this her heart broke into pieces.But Sankalp’s words gave her a slight hope. “But we have forced him to come.We hope that  he will come”. She said in her mind.“Hope he will come.If he does'nt come...?Oh God..when will I be able to see him?My heart is craving to see him”. Suddenly a man entered the party hall. Sankalp smiled seeing him,“He has arrived”. Shilpa's face blossomed seeing him.The man whom she waited to see for years has appeared before her.Her dream has come true.She just wanted to hug him and look at his face for the whole night.
