Chapter Nineteen: Welcome To The Uonikk Guild Hall.

After getting greeted by tons of people who are also like the siblings, they were sent here after they have passed on, but some of them aren’t from Earth. They are literally from another world, and they died in that world and they got sent here in this other world.

Does that make sense? Anyways.

The Uonikk Guild Hall, Uonikk Square, 412, SVIO.

[Liam: So, this is where other people who have the same badges like us gather, huh?]

[Joseph: To be honest this feels like that one anime I watched, it’s called-

[Liam: And I don’t care.]

Liam walked in the place as usual, Melanie followed him inside.

But Madelyn and Joseph admired the place because it reminds them of something, something they watched, especially for Yua, but she keeps quiet in hopes of not disturbing the both of them, especially Joseph.

Yua is sure Joseph still hasn’t moved on from Madelyn’s sudden shouting because it’s pretty unexpected for her to shout, she doesn’t do it often.

[Madelyn: I guess we go in now?]

[Joseph: Ehh, sure, I’m done, oh and are you going to put that rock down?]

[Madelyn: Oh right, uhm… How about you go on ahead? I’ll find a place to put this down.]

Madelyn slowly turns back as she looks around to see if there’s any space to put this rock down, Yua followed with. 

Joseph wonders what’s so important about that flower on top of it, but guess he’ll figure it out later as he already entered the guild hall.

The Uonikk Guild Hall, filled with adventures. Aka, the heroes of Uonikk, is what’s written on that giant wooden carved information board next to the Questing Board that’s also written by carving. 

Madelyn came back with Yua and they looked around to see a lot of adventurers around them, all sitting with tables, lots of them and some of them are decorated for some reason, but Madelyn’s eyes turned to that huge guillotine that looks to be only used for display purposes.

[Liam: So I guess this is where we start our lives or something?]

[Joseph: Looks like it, I mean there’s a lot of people who have the same badges like us. The only difference is their badge’s quality. It looks like they’ve been here for days, weeks, months, years! Who knows for how long!]

At first the siblings' thoughts were at loss, they don't know where they're going to go, nor what to do now, but luckily a favorable thing still went on their hands as a simple young man dashes up to them and puts his can down as he tips his hat to them.

[?: Good greetings, ladies and gentlemen. Welcome to the Uonikk Guild Hall! Where are the adventurers, such as yourselves will get those juicy and pricey rewards from quests! I see you are new here, yes?]

[Joseph: Oh a tour guide guy, Uh, yeah, we're like level 0 noobs.]

The tour guide nods, confirming they are indeed new, but to make sure, he pulls out a book and flips through the pages. The siblings wonder what he's looking for there inside that book but it must be important that he's flipping it so fast with intent.

[?: Ah here’s the names I was looking for! They are… Hanaka, all five of you? But each with one name to differentiate.]

[Joseph: Uh yeah, that’s right. Is that a book for knowing us or something?]

[?: Exactly, gifted by a magical being that is gossiped to be the gift of a goddess. We don’t exactly know who made it, but it is a gift, and gifts are always accepted, especially if it came from a superior.]

Joseph seems impressed by it, Liam thinks it’s probably that or it’s just a normal magic book, no goddess given bullshit or something next to that. Liam hopes this better be something useful that’s going to help them through the long run. Wasting time isn’t a part of Liam and what he does, he rather wants things complete and be done with already, he doesn’t like ongoing problems that're supposed to be ended if it wasn’t for a single mistake.

[?: Anyways, as a tour guide of this place, I welcome you all! But before we do have some icky icky boo boo with the place, I am the tour guide and a magic user, my name is Enn, I hold the water and fire element, if It is okay with you five all to know your second names?]

Liam just goes past him, ignoring him, but Joseph seems like he’s willing to introduce himself.

[Joseph: Uh, sorry about him, he doesn’t like to- uh talk to others not unless it’s important, ehh- I’m Hanaka Joseph, you already know that, but just in case if you only knew Hanaka and not, well, Joseph. Anyways that person who just ignored you was Liam, he doesn’t take things too lightly.]

Enn nods as he looks at Melanie, who was startled when his gaze is now on her, she took a few seconds before gathering her words for her introduction.

[Melanie: Oh, uh- I’m Melanie, nice to meet you Enn, and nice uh- modern suit too.]

[Enn: Well thank you, Melanie. Your choice of clothing is pretty nice too. I’m glad someone still recognizes my attire, but it's expected of someone who got here from earth.]

[Melanie: Oh, uhm, yeah.]

Enn then looks to Madelyn, waiting to see if she’s going to introduce herself.

[Madelyn: ...I’m Madelyn, I’m the- ehm- tank of the group. Nice to meet you.]

[Enn: Ah I see, it’s a beautiful name for a beautiful lady such as yourself.]

[Melanie: Hey! Why didn’t I get the same response??]

Lastly he turns to Yua, who isn’t feeling too good to talk right now, but there’s something Enn noticed that she stuffed on her shirt collar. A doll.

He kneels down to his height, but he doesn't get too close.

[Enn: Hi there, I know me being here doesn’t make you comfortable, I’m sorry for that.]

[Yua: …]

[Enn: … That doll there, I know who she is, she’s Weguwin, right? Is she your favorite character amongst the series?]

Yua turned to the tour guy. That simple word and those simple choices of speech. He managed to get Yua’s attention, for the others it was almost unbelievable, Melanie was blinking constantly, thinking if that happened just now.

For Madelyn it wasn’t really such a surprise. She did the same thing long ago.

She would expect someone using the same.

[Yua: ...y...yes… she is…]

[Enn: Ahh, I see. She’s my favorite too. It was… let’s say 3 years ago. She’s been my favorite since, and seeing the doll does bring back memories.]

Joseph feels disappointed, and angry, that all this time, that was the only thing that needed to be said to get Yua talking, and angry because this douchebag of a tour guy just show up with no relationship with their bratty sister, and yet he managed to make her lift her chin up.

But he endures his anger as violence is not the answer right now, or Liam might use violence too at him for causing a commotion.

Oh whatever, he’ll figure some things out later.
