Chapter Eighteen: Buggy Business

Liam is in the exact place where him and his siblings are supposed to meet.
He can already see Melanie returning with a basket full of apples, but he doesn’t seem to see Joseph, Madelyn nor Yua.
He can probably put his hopes that Madelyn is somewhere acting normal, since Yua is there with her to scold her masochistic sister if she dares to try to convince people to hit her, but for Joseph it’s going to be a concern and it’s going to be pain in the ass if he’s somewhere begging for women to give him something.
[Melanie: Hey brother, I’m back, and I got some apples with me.]

[Liam: I would question why you have apples on you, but the question I want to ask you right now is what the hell happened to you? Why do you look like you’ve fallen off a cliff and rolled down on a high hill?]

Liam looks around and sees Madelyn carrying a big heavy rock with a flower on top of it.
Yua is just looking bored, like who cares if she’s bored. Liam can now confirm it looks like they didn’t bring any ongoing trouble, just brought some weird s**t with them.
Now his only concern that he should be focused on now is Joseph.
He’s still around, and he probably ran away from Melanie, but just to make sure and make things sure that he’s not somewhere being creepy as ever---
[Liam: Melanie, have you by chance seen Joseph? He was with you a few seconds ago, but he disappeared when I looked back.]

[Melanie: Well- uhm, he is-

Everyone looked at the lou bang that was heard just now.
It was so loud it got everyone’s attention, and it looks like that loud bang presumably came from that bathroom in the distance.

[Liam: Oh my f**k- don’t tell me that’s Joseph that’s in there.]
Melanie breathes in and holds her breath for 10 seconds before exhaling as she looks at Liam.
[Melanie: ...He’s there alright.]
The place exploded as cockroaches are starting to come out of the bathroom.
Everyone who was in the area has already started running for their lives away from the place, and so as the other siblings, but for Liam, he’s pissed and he saw this coming.
Joseph was launched out of the bathroom and to the skies.
Liam looks up and sees him coming to his direction, and instead of catching him, he moves to the side where Joseph lands on the ground and possibly just broke some of his ribs.
[Joseph: A-Ahghnn, m-my chest! W-why didn’t you do anything?!]
[Liam: What? You expect me to catch you?]
Joseph struggles to stand up as he holds his back.
Liam noticed he’s holding something.
He looks at it and it turns out to be a fairy. But it looks like it’s been…
[Madelyn: O-oi! You two! What are you two still doing there? There’s a lot of disgusting cockroaches there! I-It’s so gross and don’t say that you’re going to fight them!]
[Liam: Oh, you’re right.]
Liam pats his brother’s shoulder as he casually walks away.
[Joseph: O-OI! Y-you’re going to- ehg.. L-leave me here?? I can’t move!!]
[Liam: Figure it out, you’ll eventually find a way to run, goodluck.]
[Joseph: Gruh! That nunce! He doesn’t really care does he?]
“Will you l-let me go now…? I-I swear I-I won’t bother you again!”
[Joseph: Agh, shut up! If you don’t wanna get slowly eaten by cockroaches, you better do some magic or stuff that you did with me when we launched up in the skies.]
Joseph turns around and sees the thousands of cockroaches approaching slowly and some of them are starting to take to air.
Joseph holds his chest as he limps away from the gross creatures.
“I-I can’t! My magic is drained! A-and I’m super weak, and can be taken advantage of…!”

Joseph groans as he thought of something naughty when the fairy said that, but he tries to keep that away from his mind as he prioritizes getting away from those insects.
His other siblings watch as Joseph tries to limp away, Madelyn was supposed to drop the rock and help his brother, but Liam told her to stay put and do absolutely nothing.
If there’s anything, Joseph should deserve this, for f*****g on something.
He doesn't know what he did, but he is definitely responsible for the cockroaches.
[Halleeyooopp!!]

“It’s the adventurers!”
“They’re here!”
“We’re safe!”
[Melanie: Adventurers? What?]
A lot of people appeared out of nowhere especially behind the siblings and they all rushed at the cockroaches and they started killing all of it.
A lady saw Joseph limping and saw her raise her wand and bonk Joseph with it.
[Joseph: Aw! Hey! What was- ?!]
Joseph noticed that he’s standing up.
He kicks his leg and tries jumping but his body no longer hurts.
[No problem! Be careful next time!]
The lady will then go on to the other citizens where she keeps bonking people and magically healing them. … Magic is cool! Joseph was in awe of that lady’s beauty, but he snaps back to reality when he sees that more cockroaches are coming at his direction so he runs for his life and to his siblings.
Joseph when seeing Liam tried to swing his fist at him but Liam dodged it and kicked his ass where he fell down to the ground.
[Liam: You’re slow, you were right for picking the shooter role, but too bad you’re the “angel”]
Joseph stands up and gets rid of the dust that was caught to him as he looks at the people who are killing the cockroaches, with weapons, bows…? And most importantly magic.
This is a bizarre thing to see and you don’t see it everyday, but the people here who stayed here for years probably had.
Yua was looking around like she’s looking for someone, but she stopped when she realizes the person she is looking for is not really… real.
Everyone kept fighting the cockroaches, until the earth started to shake.
[It’s here! Everyone get ready!!]
[Liam: What? Get ready for what? The earthquake?]
*BOOM!!

Rocks start to fall in front of the siblings' sight as they see a giant shadow in front of them.
It’s almost like it’s behind them. …
They all turn around to see a giant cockroach behind them and is looking at all of them down it’s creepy feet.

[Liam: Okay then, a giant cockroach. That’s probably the weirdest bullshit I’ve ever seen-]

The giant cockroach is finally dead, and the people who fought celebrated as they ripped it’s legs apart and transported it via magic. The siblings have no clue what happened or what happened during it.
[Hello! Sorry for the disturbances! You all have such weird clothing! We’ve never seen such! Are you all foreigners?] The lady asked the siblings as she waited for an answer.
This lady is wearing such weird clothing, it’s much more weirder than theirs!
But the most that caught their attention, but for Joseph is her large boobs!
But for the other siblings, they noticed this lady has the same exact badge as Yua!
Just like the person Madelyn saw, this is another person who came from earth! Probably!
[Yua: Wait a minute, isn’t that badge on her breast is similar to mine?]
Yua pulls out the badge and shows as they compare it.
[Madelyn: O-oh you’re right! But hers there is much older, while yours look more shinier.]

[Oh right! Everyone! Come quick! There are new adventures that were sent by the goddess Ehutia!]
With everyone hearing that, they gather around the siblings and most of them don’t look friendly but half of them look friendly enough and they welcome them.
Yua seeing a lot of people around she tries to hide with Madelyn almost dropping the rock due to her, but she keeps her balance. And keeps the tiny little flower safe.

[Liam: I guess Joseph is kind of right, this is an mmorpg thing.]
[Joseph: Pft, heh, I told yo- Wait, you know what it means all this time??]
Liam just ignored Joseph as he started asking some of them some questions.
Melanie is impressed Liam can talk to people normally, usually, it comes with threats.
Oh well!
Since they’re in another world, they’re bound to change afterall.
