Ulric hadn’t immediately gone after Andrea when she bolted from the orchard as though a feral wolf was after her. By the time he had shaken off the shock of whatever had happened, she had already made it back to her room and Ulric hadn’t thought he was in the right headspace to talk to her. He regretted that decision as he sat at the head of the table for lunch with the others and watched as Andrea pointedly avoided glancing his way. They were ten minutes into their meal and not once had she peeked at him. Unfortunately, he couldn’t say the same about her sister, Kristy.
