Chapter 1
She looked around the congregation, surprised there were many people present at the town hall for a wedding they didn’t support.
Well, she didn’t blame them at all, an alpha and an omega weren’t the pair to get married. But this had been her dream.
Marrying an alpha was the only thing her parents had given her to have hope about. They would say “An alpha is the only person who can bring you out of this miserable life, you won’t be looked down upon anymore” They would both caress her head and little believed them.
But looking at the scowl marred on the faces of most of the guests, her parents must have not been right about everything. Their resentment was painted on their faces.
“You may now kiss the bride” the beta of the park announced as Keagan took a step towards her, cradling her face in his palms, he bent his head and captured her lips with his. could swear that spark flew at that time.
“I now pronounce you Alpha and Luna”
She was married! Her dream had finally come through. Her omega status didn’t matter anymore, she was now the Luna of Thunder pack.
She would be lying if she said she wasn’t feeling too happy about it, she looked around once more, then at the man who gazed lovely at her. Everything she had done was worth it.
The drug she had used was worth it.
The drive to her new home was slow, they were both meant to consummate their marriage it was a must for newly wedded couples.
They both went into our matrimonial room, removing their clothes before they could even register them.
They needed to feel each other touch eagerly and it was a result of our bond wanting to come together. Keagan made the first move, taking a step towards her then everything else was a blur.
She looked up at the man above her, her orbs blown wide open, gasping whenever he would pull out and push back into her. It felt awesome, everything at this point did.
He tucked his face into her neck and bit down gently, he was marking her. He raised his head looking back into her eyes.
“Do you feel anything strange?” He asked, trying to coax her expression.
The place he had bit, tingles ran through it but the pain faded bit by bit under what was left was a whisper. “Yeah, my bones feel weak. My wolf feels the need to call unto yours”
“Then it is complete,” he sagged tiredly against her, kissing her forehead with a smile on his lips.

A few years later everything had changed dramatically, she was now a stay-at-home wife used as a nanny whenever Sophia deemed it fit. 10 years of marriage yet she was unable to conceive. It had brought her back to the starting point, to a point where she had been constantly looked down upon, but it didn’t matter as long she was still married to the alpha– it all didn’t matter.
“Kara!” she heard the familiar of her mother-in-law. “You didn’t do the laundry?”
She sputtered trying to grasp an excuse “I wasn’t feeling well, I-“
“Are you pregnant?” She asked, moving closer to her.
She shook her head slowly. She wanted to lie maybe things around the house would change for her, maybe it would get her husband to gaze love-struck at her like he once used to.
“You are pathetic” Sophia snarled sending a jab right at her heart- she truly felt pathetic.
She remembered how Sophia had welcomed her, a big smile on her face—she had called her, her daughter. But the entitlement didn't apply to her anymore. She was just a maid to her.
Looking at her once last time, she retreated to her room. Taking a greedy grab of air, sagged tiredly on the chair.
Why did the universe have to make things this way for me?
Being barren while coming from an omega family was the worst kind of insult.
The door opened and Keagan strode in, a warm smile marred her face as she tried to welcome him home, the disgusted expression he threw her way had her recoiling back her arms.
He walked away, showing no sign of noticing the hurt on her face.
looked down at her dirty attire and patted her belly, wishing for a miracle. She needed a child that was the only key to getting her husband's affection back.
Her phone rang disconnecting her from her train of thought, she picked it up and placed it to her ear. The familiar voice of her best friend broke through her phone.
"Hey, Kara!" She called.
Shaking her head, her smile returned to her face but she could feel it wasn't as broad as it once used to be "Hi Emma, it seems like one of us is having a good time" she laughed, carrying Emma along with her.
"I am so sorry that I couldn't make it to your wedding, it was so sudden that I couldn't include it in my plans."
"Trust me, it is fine." She said, picking at her dress "It has been a while since you have been back here anyways"
"Looks like someone missed me," Emma teased, laughing.
"Of course I do, no one compliments my cooking as you do"
"And here I thought I was going to be in a competition with your husband" She teased.
Her husband? She couldn't remember when last time he had complimented her not to talk about her cooking, the thought brought a sour taste to her mouth.
"No one does it like you do" laughed it off, like her insides weren't churning her.
"I am coming back to the pack tomorrow, I wanted to know if I could stay at your place if you don't mind"
"That wouldn't be a problem, I just have to ask my husband first"
Maybe with Emma in her house, she would feel a semblance of control over her life.
