Graduation

Selena's POV

I arrived at home feeling worn out. I guess this is what happens when you got rejected by a mate. I've notice how quiet the house is, I check the kitchen and garden but found no one. I only sighed knowing that there's probably an important problem suddenly came up in the pack that needed to be attended by my mother and father. To be honest this is not knew to me and I'm already used to it. That's why when I was still in junior high, Wilson and I usually to stroll around in some parks before going home since we both know our parents were still busy. We both only have our eldest sisters waiting for us when we arrive at home. I suddenly miss the old times.

No no no.. you dont miss that jerk Selena!

I shake my head remembering what happened earlier. I went to the kitchen to drink water before going into my room. I needed to stay hydrated. I wouldn't torture myself from misery just because my mate rejected me. My mother once told me that if you're married to your mate your wolf will grow stronger and dominant. That answers why my father is one of the strongest Alpha Leader in this country since he is married to my mother, his mate.

After drinking some water I immediately went up to the second floor where my room is to take a bath and to cook something for tonight. Now even though my mom and dad weren't here, I still dont have any hard feelings for them because I love them and I completely understand how important their role in our pack.

I was about to open the door after twisting the doorknob when it suddenly opens itself. It gives me a jump scare when the lights turned on and birthday poppers exploding everywhere.

"Happy Eighteenth Birthday our dear Selena." Said by everyone including my parents and my cousins, probably my entire family were here. I look at my bed and saw a tons of gifts and balloons hanging everywhere. My mom and dad came forward to hug and kiss me on my forehead.

"Happy birthday baby. Our gifts are on your bed including your cousins gifts for you." Greeted by my mother as she caress my hair. While looking at everybody around me, I suddenly burst into tears and hugged my mother so tight. I broke down in front of my family suffering from all the mental emotions I am feeling right now, the feelings of sadness and happiness mixed together. I felt like I'm about to explode. I cried for about twenty seconds on my mothers shoulder while my father is caressing my back. When I look at them, their faces look so shock and concerned at my break down thinking that it wasn't a mare reaction.

"Is everything okay Selena?" My mother asked seriously. I could see that my parents look so worried. If only I have the courage to tell them everything what happened today, but I don't. I have to act all fine and happy.

"Of course I'm fine mom. I was just so happy and surprised, how did you guys even fit in my room?" I fake laugh at them to divert the topic. My lovelife may seem complicated, but I am still blessed with good people around me. We continue to celebrate my birthday in our garden. We had a barbecue party and liquors everywhere.

"Hey Selena, happy birthday baby." Armin my closest cousin said as he grab my arm and drag me a bit far from everyone.

"I know something is bothering you, you know you can always lean on me right?" Armin has always been by my side everytime I need someone to talk to about serious matter. He is one year older than me, and because of our closeness, people always mistaken us as couple.

"Thanks love, just give me some more time before I could talk about it." He just nod and pinch my cheek lightly before he walks away. I'm just so happy that I am not alone at the day I am broken. Everything is just almost perfect, if only my eldest sister were also here. I looked up in the sky.

"I hope someday you'll decide to come home."

One month have passed, finally four days from now we will have our graduation ceremony. Talking about graduation, I still haven't seen Wilson since my birthday. Probably because he is avoiding me until our school year ends. I sighed in defeat. I wanted to smell him at least for the last time, he didn't even come once for a practice.

"Selena why do I feel like you're hiding something from me?" Lucy my close friend asked as she notice me zoning out in the canteen in our break time.

"Why do you have such question Lucy." I don't want her to know how Wilson rejected me, it pains the little pride I have as a daughter of an Alpha.

"You've been so quiet, and weary lately. I felt like you broke up with your boyfriend or something." she raised her eyebrows while interrogating me.

"Don't throw such accusations at me Lucy, you didn't saw me even once with somebody these months." She just laughed and decided to believe in me instead. Is being a single a laughable matter for taken people? I'm affected. After having our lunch we went back into the gym for ceremony practice, and again I didn't saw Wilson.

Ain't he planning on graduating or something?

I suddenly felt irritated not seeing him anymore. In an instant our graduation day has come, the gym were filled with students, parents, and guests. My aunt and cousin are beside me, my parents couldn't attend as an Alpha and Luna they have greater daily responsibilities that affect majority of the pack. I truly respect and understand their role and with that I have no hard feelings them not attending my graduation.

Before the ceremony started, everyone kept on whispering about something. My eyes wander at the direction they were looking and my heart skipped at the sight of Wilson together with his father Alpha Sergio and Luna. Wilson looks so damn attractive with his fresh cut brush up hair with a neat faded on both side. He is so hot as always. My fantasies were stopped when our eyes met each other. He snarled at my direction and proceed to their sits like he didn't saw me.

When the ceremony ends we all vowed to our guardian as a sign of gratitude. My eyes went for Wilson but didn't found him, I only saw his parents that are also about to leave. I asked both of my aunt and cousin to go home first before me since I am meeting up with Lucy and others for after party. While waiting for my girls, I decided to go to the comfort room. Few steps before I reach the comfort room, a mouthwatering scent came into the air. Wilson? I was confuse for a moment, what would he still be doing here since the ceremony already ended.
