TWO DAYS LATER JOE, Nathan and Jenkins met again in Joe’s office to finalize their case notes.
“Broder’s report on Rogers was enlightening,” Joe told them as he handed each a copy of the autopsy report.
Nathan scanned the document then lifted his stunned eyes from the page to look at Joe.
“How many?” he asked, incredulous.
“I believe Broder said no fewer than twelve,” Joe answered, referring to the number of malignant tumors on Thomas Rogers’ brain that were discovered during the autopsy. “He also said that many would have most likely begun to impact his personality and cognitive abilities as far back as a year ago.”
“Which means that any case he worked in that time span may come into question,” Nathan observed.
“Correct.”
