Nathalia Avra
It was dark. Maybe the ship got short-circuited causing a blackout, I think. I try to adjust my eyes to the dark environment searching for a way to get out of this ship. I try to free my hands, which appears to be trapped somehow. Wait! I was sitting a while ago… before I got knocked out, why am I lying on my back now? Oh! How I wish to c***k open this jammed door and get out.
I just could not recollect what happened. I planned well for my space journey. I calculated the coordinates perfectly. I was also surprised to see the wormhole at the correct coordinate even though I was expecting it to be there. I told mom about a month stay with the Greys and I made sure I convinced Mrs Ahima the same. The only possible way my plan would ruin is Brittany.
Brittany was really suspicious about my work from the starting. She always pestered me to tell her what I was doing. It irked me but I kind of feel guilty for not including her in the plan. The less people involved, faster the results would be.
Well now that I'm out of the earth and I'm sure I landed on some other planet----or perhaps, crash-landed on some other planet and I am stuck inside my ship, I just couldn't figure out a way to get out of this ship.
The ship looks more like a streamlined version of a jet plane. It had a sort of pointy front structure and a straight, bulky backside. It was the size of a jet. It had two chairs ( Two worn out couches, I found in the attic) and a control panel designed just like how the diary instructed. The inside also had a wide backside, where I stored some canned food( I researched what astronauts eat), two oxygen tanks, with those nose inhalers and also my backpack. I just brought the Professor's diary, a journal, two pairs of jeans, two shirts and most importantly, some facts about Earth. I also brought my phone and three power banks fully charged. I downloaded some movies and TV shows and also an informative video about Earth and us, if I needed it. I was prepared. I guess.
But nothing mattered now. I was stuck, my limbs restrained and for some reason I am lying down. Perhaps, I'll start screaming for help? If it is an uninhabited planet, as till date we have not even found any alien life, screaming won't help. So, let's just quit screaming. But it's worth a shot!
Ahhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!
A while after I stopped screaming the hell out of me, I heard a click of a door opening. But it feels very distant. That's impossible! The ship barely contains the space for me to stand and shift my position. I didn't create a huge room to have the door a couple of meters away! But survival instinct kicks in as I start talking gibberish.
"Help! I know i don't speak alien or that either of you understands me, i think you understand the desperation in my voice… help?"
" You can stop whining. We will talk to you about everything after I find the switch to this room." I hear a man's voice beam.
Did I crash land on Earth?
I knew this thing wouldn't work. Who can travel through space in just five days and find themselves on a planet far away and also find it habited? We never found extraterrestrial life before and why did I think I really travelled through a wormhole?
Silly me. Wait! Did I just hear that guy say the switch to this room?
My train of thoughts was cut down by the sudden flash of light on my face. I had to squint my eyes to adjust to the sudden light but after blinking a few times, I got adjusted to the light.
It's a huge room with white walls and tiles and equipment found in chemistry or a biology lab. I looked around to see me strapped on what looks like a bed stripped down from an MRI machine. I looked at the two figures walking towards me.
A man and a woman. They look perfectly human to me. But something is really fishy? They looked like they applied some kind of slime on their body for looking extra oily but other than that they looked perfectly normal unless you also considered their impeccable dress sense.
The woman wore something like a Khaki coloured Karate gear minus the belt and the man wore the exact same thing, just that it was white. The woman had pretty blue eyes and long black wavy hair tied in an elegant ponytail and the man had silky blonde hair. Both of them looked quite older than me but still young.
"No need to freak out, we will explain everything and we expect you to cooperate too." The woman spoke as she approached where I was lying.
" Sure… I mean… where am i? Who are you? What happened? How…" I really couldn't control my mouth because my brain kept on producing questions upon questions and both of them just stared at me without emotions, without protest.
Finally, I stopped. I let out a sigh of relief as I got to talk to another being for the past five days or even more.
"Are you done?" The man asked calmly.
"Actually, would you mind untying my limbs?" I ask looking at them.
"Of course!" The woman sprang into action as she untied my hands and legs one by one.
I felt a sort of relief as blood flowed back to those numb spots. " Thanks," I muttered as I sat down on the bed-like thing now.
They both took seats near me.
"I am Tony, Coronandi sapiens is our species classification in Kliptora." The man spoke.
I was dumbfounded. Species? Kliptora? Coronandi sapiens? What could he possibly mean?
" I am Tina," the woman said, disturbing my thoughts.
"Well, in that case, I am Nathalia Avra from England."
"England!" Tony shot out.
"Do you know the way back?" I asked.
"No. I have never heard of that place before. " Tony said in that same mesmerised tone.
"Well, no wonder I have never heard of Kliptora anywhere before. Let me ask you one thing ---"
"Before that, let us ask you what species you belong to?" Tina asked me. Well, I was not quite sure what to answer.
"Well, the question seems stupid. We all are humans---"
"Humans? So that's what you are! "
" That's what we all are!"
"No, you got it wrong. We are not the same species but we may be the same genus."
Oh crap! I never liked biology classes and they are asking me questions from biology! They think they are not humans! Stupid folks!
" Ok, if you say so, let me try to remember something from my biology class. The scientific word for humans is Homo sapiens."
"According to?"
"Of course according to ICZN or was it IUPAC, nope that is for chemistry. Well, I think you know."
They shot quick glances before shooting me with their next bizarre question,
" Which planet are you from?"
" Earth, where else? Now please don't tell me I am in some other galaxy or so."
"We are from the planet Kliptora and you are now in Kliptora. Your vehicle just landed on lake Frens and we were actually interested in knowing more about you. "
" So you are telling me you're aliens!!!"
" No, we are Kliptorans," Tony told me.
"Well, that's the same thing! Let me ask you, how is it then that our language is the same?"
" I belong to Greka and I speak gree, but right now I am speaking gamea," Tina told me.
"I belong to Engame and I speak gamea and you are speaking gamea," Tony said.
"Uh?" I looked at them puzzled.
"You will get to know everything slowly. Now just take some rest. I think you are hungry. " Tina said at last.
I nodded. Tina left us.
Tony looked at me and I stared back at him. There is something about his eyes that really captures one's heart. Is it curiosity? Maybe.
All we did was look at each other until Tina returned with food.
