Time together

When they arrive at the stables Lily makes her way over to her horses stable.

Monty calls out to her in greeting, she rushes over to him planting a kiss on his nose. “I’m so sorry I haven’t seen you for a few days boy!!”

She gets him out of the stable and takes him out to the field, Jake following along behind at a distance seemingly unsure of himself.

Once Monty was safely out in the field, she feels Jakes presence behind her. His strong arms snake around her waist and pull her close.

He nuzzles into her neck, kissing and inhaling deeply. Each kiss he places causes shivers to race up her spine, and goosebumps along her arms.

“Jake we will never get anything done at this rate!!” 

He begrudgingly pulls away from her, turning her round and placing one final kiss on her lips.

Lily can still feel the tingling in her lips even after he has pulled away. She hears him chuckle and notice his fingers entwined with hers. 

They walk back to the stables hand in hand.

Once back at the yard Lily grabs the bits she needs and heads into the stable to muck it out. Jake leans against the doorframe watching her.

When she’d cleared the stable out of any muck, and said she needed to fetch more straw he went and grabbed it for her. She watched him carry the bale like it was nothing, his muscles weren’t even tensed.

After sorting hay, sweeping up, making Monty’s feeds up for the evening and next morning they were done, Lily was pleasantly surprised to find Jake eager to help out where he could.

When they were finally done they headed back to his vehicle.

“I really appreciate you helping me Jake” at this he turns to her, a smile on his face. “Lily I will always be here to help you”.

Lily rolls her eyes and jokingly says “alright Mr.Soppy!” whilst trying not to smile.

Once back on the road, they headed into the nearest town. When Jake pulled up outside a big shopping centre, Lily looked over at him quizzically.

“Well I thought you might want something else to wear before we go out for food?” he suggests sounding unsure of himself.

“Jake I don’t have any money with me, I haven’t been home since everything happened” she shrugs.

He leans in, placing a kiss on her nose.... “Well I’m sure I can get bits for you, and you can just pay me back somehow” he smirks at her.

Lily playfully slaps his arm and jumps out of the Range Rover, with her small height of 5ft2 it was quite a jump.

As they walked in through the main doors Lily could feel the amount of eyes that suddenly trained on them..... or rather Jake. She looked about and could see women staring at him, some had even stopped walking to fully appreciate the sight. Lily scowls and moves closer to him, wrapping her fingers with his and holding his hand tightly before turning towards him, tiptoeing and looking into his face. 

Jake looks at her seeing her intent, grins and bends his head down kissing Lily deeply. When they finally break apart Jake snickers at the smug look Lily now has on her face. 

“Was somebody feeling jealous?!” he grins down at her, enjoying her expression.

“No, well erm maybe I just didn’t appreciate them all staring” she sheepishly mumbles with a shrug. 

“Oh my gorgeous Lily-pad, I’ve only got eyes for you” and with that he let go of her hand, placed his arm around her waist and picked her up so they were now face to face. He plants a gentle kiss on her nose, her cheeks, her forehead and then her lips. The kiss deepens, and Lily opens her eyes to see his black lust filled eyes gazing back at her. 

He groans, squeezing his eyes shut as he places her gently back to the floor. When he looks back at her again his eyes are back to their normal colour.

“I just can’t get enough of you Lily” and with that he holds her hand again and they continue walking. As they stroll around the shops Jake encourages her to get a few bits. 

Lily begrudgingly ends up finding a few pairs of leggings, tops, a hoodie, Some underwear and some toiletries and makeup of her own to place in his bathroom. 

When she thought they were done he drags her into another shop. Lily looks about, and the shop was full of beautiful dresses. She wanders over to the closest one and looks at the price tag. Before promptly putting it back down again in shock.

She looks about and her eyes are drawn to a beautiful floor length blue dress, she dashed over sees that it is in her size,  and quickly looks at the price tag for that.....again placing it back down in shock. 

“Jake I think this sort of place is a bit out of my price range!” 

Jake looks at her quizzically and picks up the the blue dress, and the matching shoes and he strolls over to the till  not  even blink at the four digit amount.before  paying for the dress and placing the bag into Lily’s surprised hands.

“Jake that was a huge amount of money! It might not even fit or look good on me! I can’t afford to pay you back!” she rushes out in one breath.

Jake looks at her, tilting his head to the side.

“Lily, I don’t need you to pay me back, money is not really an issue for me. What I do want, is to be able to treat you to things you want. Because I don’t know what I did to deserve a girl like you as a mate. You’re more important than any amount of money. As for your comment of it not looking good on you. The first moment I saw you, you were bloody and bruised and covered in dirt from your fall, and yet you were still the most beautiful thing I have ever seen. You would look good in a bin bag. So please just let me treat you!”

Lily looks up at him, and nods slowly. He smiles and places a soft kiss on her lips.

“Now let’s go get ready for our date!!” 

Jake drives them back to his house (if it can be called a house with it’s excessively large size) and leads her up to his bedroom. Jake places Lily’s new dress on the bed along with the other new bits she bought. He vanished into his bathroom and Lily hears the shower going. Lily goes over to his large mirror and starts to do her makeup. Once she finishes with that, she brushes out her hair and places it in a simple french braid. 

Going over to the bed she takes the blue dress out of it’s bag, and slides it on careful not to touch her face.

She walks over to the mirror and sees that it fits her perfectly, almost like it was made for her. The dress hugged her curves in all of the right places and the  soft silky fabric flowed down her legs. The blue colour matched and emphasised the colour of her bright blue eyes. Turning in the mirror to look at herself, she hears a sharp intake of breath.

Lily spins around and is shocked to see Jake standing there watching her. 

“Wow Lily, you look incredible!!!” Lily blushes and moves away from the mirror. She tries not to look at Jake standing there in just a towel around his waist. Water droplets still glistening over his muscles.

“You don’t look too bad yourself” she mutters.

He winks and blows a kiss at her before vanishing into his closet.

When he comes away from it, he is now dry and dressed in a crisp white shirt with smart trousers and a matching jacket in hand. The suit is perfectly fitted to him, smart and yet his muscles are still just visible under the fitted shirt.

His hair was tousled and suited his look perfectly.

He walks towards her, their eyes locking together. A smile playing on his lips.

“Let’s go”

They walk back out of the house and head to the Range roger he had left parked out the front. He walks over to the passenger door, opening it for her and then helping her in.

As they drive down the drive, Lily finds herself staring at him again. Savouring every aspect of him. 

When they pull up outside a rather posh looking restaurant, Jake parks outside the main door and hands his keys to a valet before helping Lily out. Wrapping an arm around her waist and leading her through the main door.

She sees a man nod in acknowledgment to Jake and usher them towards a secluded table tucked away from the business of the rest of the restaurant. Lily sits down and looks around, everything about the place screamed expensive.

“Jake, you know you could have taken me for burgers and I’d have been happy right?” 

He blushes, and looks sheepish. “Lily I just wanted to treat you, and make this a memorable first proper date” He sighs and looks almost sad. “Did I get it wrong?”

Lily places her hand on his, and stares at him intensely. “Jake anywhere seems to be perfect when I’m around you. I know I’ve just met you but this just all seems so right!!” 

When a waiter appears Jake orders them a couple of drinks and advises they won’t be eating there this evening. The waiter and Lily look at him surprised.

He shrugs and taps his nose with a wink.

Once they’d finished the drinks brought out to them, they left. 

Lily confused and worried she may have ruined the evening. Jake seemed quiet and slightly lost in thought.

When back driving in the road she looked about not knowing where they could be headed. They parked in a carpark and walked down a street, it wasn’t until they were outside a burger joint that Lily had realised what he had done.

“Oh Jake, you’re too sweet!” he looks at her and smiles.

Lily rushes in and finds them a booth, and they both order a large burger filled with extra bacon.

When their food is brought out and they dig in, Lily can’t help but groan as the delicious food hits her mouth.

Jake grins at her “and here I was thinking only I could make you make that noise”

Lily blushes and looks down at her burger. 

As they both continued eating, the conversation was light and easy. With Jake asking her questions about her life, her job and time flew by.

It went by so quickly that it was a surprise when the bill was brought to their table, and after paying Jake stood up to leave.

Lily followed him and they walked back to the car, now full and contented. 

Driving back to his, was blissful. Both of them enjoying each other’s company in the quiet starlit drive home.

By the time they reached Jakes, Lily had drifted off to sleep. Not even waking when Jake removed her from the car and carried her to bed.

Kissing her forehead gently he wishes her sweet dreams and climbs in behind her, letting sleep pull him under as well.
