Some Years Earlier....
Brielle P.O.V
I met Micheal Lee for the first time when I was six, he seemed very mysterious, his grey eyes were hard and at the same time, they were calling me into them. My father employed, Mr. Filippo Lee
as the new gardener and Micheal came with him.
I was an only child, which made me a precious child; I was treated like a princess and of course, I was indeed a princess being the only daughter and heir of my father's multi-billion-dollar wine press.
I lived my whole life surrounded by my nannies and the workers of the Kings estate.
I dropped the paint palette and smiled happily at my work of art."
Nana Camilla!" I squealed in delight, the name of my favorite nanny, the woman who seemed to be in her mid-fifties rushed in immediately after my call.
Her hair was folded neatly in a perfect blonde bun, she was dressed smartly in a black French dress that clung to her bodice.
One thing about Camilla, despite her old age she's still fashion sensible.
"Yes, Cara Mia." She smiled sweetly at me, she was just like a mother to me, I feel very comfortable whenever she is with me.
"Take a look at this painting," ! squealed again and the old lady pushed down her glasses to access the painting.
"Dio Mio! I'm just so speechless... It' s beautiful." she said in a thick Italian accent and I grinned before jumping to hug her tightly.
Camilla took one more glance at the painting, her eyes held some kind of admiration that I couldn't explain.
She shook her head and rubbed down on my hair as one would pet a cat, she enjoyed doing those sorts of things. "Nanny, I want to do a portrait of you," ! said confidently.
"Why would you do that?" Camilla protested with a look that told me she was already feeling the need to excuse herself.
"I watch people do it... Please don't say no," I begged with a sad pout that made the old lady give up whatever protest she had up her throat.
"All right Tesoro, what should I do?"
A heavy grin flashed on my face and I reached out for a new painting sheet and my color palette. "Just stand, don't move, and remember to put on a big smile."
Reluctantly the old lady compelled her body to follow the orders and suddenly we both heard a familiar honk just outside the house.
I felt a certain wave of excitement wash over me l dropped the palette and ran towards the window to confirm my guess and yes! It was my father; he was back from his trip.
"It's Daddy!" I squealed in delight my voice was filled with excitement, and with great speed, I dashed out of the room.
"Daddy!" I chanted happily, I hadn't seen him in a while as I ran down the stairs, jumping off the last set of steps.
Mr. Walter, my father's chauffeur had already gotten the car door and father stepped out.
I swung myself at him and he caught me with no problem, holding me lovingly in his arms and bringing me close to the length of his body.
"My little princess, I miss you so much!" he beamed heavily as he dropped me to my feet and then took time to look around.
"Where is your mommy?" he asked when he noticed no signs of his wife.
"She went to the company she has a lot of work to do an..' I was in the middle of explaining when I trailed off and was suddenly at a loss for words as my eyes met a pair of dove grey eyes, eyes that were soft and traveled deep, so intense they could melt any rock.
I had never seen the boy before, and neither had I seen the older man who stood behind the boy.
"Daddy who is that?" I asked pointedly towards my father who seemed to be a little more interested in his phone.
"Oh, pardon me, this is Mr. Filippo Lee and he's our new gardener, that is his son, Oh! What is your name again, boy?"
Brielle’s curious blue eyes moved away from her father to probe this new boy's face; then her heart thumped in her chest when his cold grey eyes met hers again.
"Micheal, my name is Micheal" he answered the already-asked question, his voice soft and velvety.
"Right Micheal Lee, he'll help in the stables." From that moment on, I couldn't hear or see anything anymore but the echo of his name in the walls of my ear, my eyes that rested on his gray orbs.
On the day I first met Micheal Lee, the stable boy, I was only six years old and he was nine, I was hoping we could be friends.
My father walked me back towards the house, but | was already so distracted; I took one more glance at Micheal's face... one last time, before we went inside.
Shortly, the years had passed and I was seventeen, my life remained the way it had always been, my parents have provided me with all the luxurious things they felt I needed, they had given me everything that I am grateful for, except for their time and attention.
They had not given me their time, they were always busy, and they always had important meetings to attend; every single thing was more important than me.
But I couldn't complain because what more could a girl like me ask for?
I had everything most girls my age dreamt but I was lonely. I try to talk to the workers of the estate and befriend every one of them except for someone who is so mysterious and seemed out of my reach-Micheal Lee.
I had tried to talk to him on countless occasions but he would snub me, ignore me, and pretend like I wasn't there.
This had a huge toll on my ego, the more I tried to get closer to him, the more he distances himself away from me, and I felt entitled to get his attention, so frustrated that I would do anything to get his attention.
I put on my lace-up boots, the ones that I bought in the mall when I went dress shopping with some of my friends from school.
I tightened the laces before hyping out of my room, My father, got a rare horse just yesterday, and I was curious about it. It was said to be a snow-white stallion with patches of brown pigment scattered around the skin of the belly and legs.
I wanted to see it for myself and if I am lucky enough, I might even get to talk to Micheal... He is the reason I am going to the stables.
The stables were exactly as I had imagined them, I was never allowed at this part of the estate, because my father had always claimed it was dangerous, but there was nothing dangerous about this, the stables were silent the only sound that I heard was from that of the gigantic animals were feeding comfortably.
"Wow," I exclaimed in excitement as I viewed my surroundings amused by the animals that were in sight as I strolled further into the stable, I spotted it. There it was the horse I was looking for. It was singled out in a different stall, and I couldn't contain my joy. I walked towards the horse of magnificent beauty and reached out my hands in an attempt to nuzzle its nose.
"I wouldn't do that if I were you," came a cold velvety voice, and I jerked away and turned in the direction of the speaker.
I froze on seeing the tall frame of the young man with broad shoulders in jeans.
I could never forget his caramel brown hair or his cold grey eyes that always seemed to sparkle with fire.
"What are you staring at?"
Everything he said sounded like a threat and I swallowed, I had never been this close and alone with Micheal before.
He looks just as intimidating as he sounded but I wasn't afraid of him.
"I… I wanted to see the horse," my voice came out shaky, and not as confident as l intended but I was still holding his gaze. "I think I have that much right, don't you think so?"
"Of course, you do, but without telling anyone? You could endanger yourself, as well as the horse." He picked up a bucket and a long brush strode past me and went into the stall.
"I suggest you head back to your room, princess"
I frowned, folding my arms and watching him lurch past me again to go grab another bucket.
"This is not your place to be."
"You should help me, I want to ride that horse," I stated but instead of replying, he got in with the horse and began to brush the mane...
Completely ignoring me, like I wasn't there. I didn't come to the stable to ride the horse, but that was the only way to keep the conversation going.
Micheal wasn't ready to speak to me.
"Hello?" | tried to call his attention again my legs had begun to hurt from standing for too long.
"What is it?" he growled.
"I want to ride the horse, and you should help me. Isn't that your job?" I repeated.
"The horse isn't ready to ride yet." His reply came curtly and I Folded my arms and challenged him.
"My dad would give me this horse if I asked for it,' I told him off and he dropped the brush.
"Go talk to your dad then."
"You should listen to me, My father pays you to do your job." I retorted, he sighed before he turned slightly and walked up to me, making me quiver slightly in fear.
"That's the problem, I only take orders from your father!" he suddenly gripped me by the arm and pulled me out of the stables, that was the first time he was touching me, and it wasn't as loving as I fantasized about.
"Leave now!"

I was still sad from the encounter I had with Micheal earlier in the stables, and my parents weren't even helping matters, even though we were having dinner, they were both on their phones, typing away.
Oh, right I needed to tell them about the program we have in school.
"Mom, Dad. I'm having a very important event in school tomorrow and I was told to invite you both." I started over an oddly silent dinner,
"Both of us?" My father asked curiously and I nodded.
"You didn't make it to my music presentation and it was kind of embarrassing because you were supposed to give the closing speech, you were the school guest of honor," I reported already frustrated by their neglect, it was embarrassing, my friends were with at least one of their parents, while I was alone.
"Honey, you know how tight our schedule is... we work so hard so we can give you and better life." I snickered at my mom.
"Let me check…" I interrupt him sharply, I don't want to hear another lie.
"You can't make it this time?"
Silence hung around them, cowards none of them could even answer, I think I lost my appetite, I was already having a terrible evening.
" Have a nice meal, good night, Mom and Dad."
"We would make it up to you,"
Dad said, he had been saying things like that since I was a child, and now that I am old enough to realize that nothing to compare to their attention, I realized I didn't need it anymore.
I was in my room texting my friend, Nina, she had just broken up with her boyfriend because he was cheating on her and she was sad, there was nothing much I could do because I had warned her to stay away from Freddo, he was a playboy.
"Hey Brielle, may I come in?" l heard my father's voice, he asked in her doorway, even though I didn't answer him, he came in anyway.
"Is there anything you will need, Brielle? Anything you want?
Anything at all... Please?" He asked as he approached my bed, l dropped my phone and turned away from him, trying to prove that l was angry.
But then I remembered Micheal, I needed a way to take revenge for today's embarrassment.
"Are you sure you'll give me anything I want?" I queried as I sat up on the bed, covering my legs with the pillow.
"Yes, my princess, anything to make you forgive your mother and me." He said he sounded genuine too. "What do you want?"
A smile spread across my lips.
