Alex's POV "I'll take you home Mia". The night was cold and calm I drove her home. "Mia! You forgot your scarf the last time I dropped you off". Chapter 3 "Oh my gosh I didn't even realize that it was missing. Thank you so much for keeping it safe" she had a light smile on her face while glaring at her scarf. "Alex I'd love to get to know more about you like where you live, where you work you know". "That's not even a problem you're definitely free to come to my home and my place of work any time any day too, how's tomorrow? You can come to my place". "Okay I'll just check my schedule for tomorrow". I drove up to the front of her apartment and watched her walk in. The next morning I got to my office, proud and happy because it just felt like it was going to be a good day. I walked into my office and settled down. There was a knock on the door. "Come in". Starring into the files he had in his hands "Good morning Alex I'm here to remind you that we have a very important meeting today with metron company. He sat across my table in the office as I stood at the transparent glass wall overlooking the bustling city below, I couldn't help but think about my best friend and assistant, Ethan, he has been by my side for years, helping me build my business empire and managing every aspect of my life with unparalleled efficiency. I walked back the to my leather chair and leaned back on it and took a deep breath, reminiscing about the first time I met Ethan, he had walked into my office, confident and poised, with a resume that was impressive enough to make even the most seasoned businessmen envious. But it was his intelligence and determination that caught my attention. I knew right then and there that he was the one I wanted by my side, both as a friend and as my right-hand man. Ethan's loyalty and dedication has never wavered, even in the face of the most challenging situations. He has a way of handling everything with grace and composure, a quality that I have come to admire and respect. He is not just my assistant; he is my confidant, my advisor, and my closest friend. Despite being a billionaire, I have never met anyone who is as humble and down-to-earth as Ethan. He has never let my wealth or status come between us, and he treats me just like any other friend. We often have long conversations about life, and I always value his perspective and advice. But what sets Ethan apart from anyone else is his unwavering support and belief in me. He has seen me at my best and worst, and through it all, he has never doubted my abilities. His faith in me has pushed me to achieve greater heights, and I am forever grateful to have him by my side. Ethan's work ethic is unmatched, and I have no doubt that he could run a business of his own. But he has chosen to stay by my side, and I am lucky to have him. He is not just an employee; he is an essential part of my success. As I finished my thoughts, I couldn't help but smile. Ethan was more than just my best friend and assistant; he was the backbone of my life. And I knew that with him by my side, there was nothing I couldn't achieve. "Also Camelot apartments need your services for the reopening__" "Ethan" I cut him short. I was fidgeting with my tie, a nervous habit I had when I was about to share something personal. "Ethan I need to tell you something," my voice slightly trembling. Ethan sat up straighter slowly closing the files he was reading from, his dark brown eyes full of concern. "Is everything okay, Alex?" I took a deep breath and looked directly at him"I met someone. A woman who has completely captured my heart." Ethan's eyes widened in surprise, but he quickly composed himself and gave me an encouraging smile. "That's wonderful, Alex. Tell me more, who is she, where did you guys meet?" My face lit up as he recounted how he had met mia at the charity event. "She was the most beautiful woman I had ever seen. And her passion for art, it was truly inspiring. I couldn't take my eyes off of her." Ethan listened attentively, his smile growing wider with each passing moment. "And...did you get her number?" I chuckled, yes, as a matter of fact I took her out for dinner to celebrate her, her work was the best selling. And I got her number that same night. Yesterday she invited to her art gallery I went there and we talked for hours she also shared some of her personal works with me, they were so beautiful and alluring. Ethans eyes sparkled with excitement. "That's amazing, Alex!" I leaned back in my chair, with a facial expression of pure Bliss "We just clicked somehow Ethan. It was like we had known each other for years." Ethan gave me a handshake in excitement. "Finally your days of singleness can be over" I smiled, grateful for Ethan's unwavering support. "Thank you, ethan. I don't know what I would do without you." Ethan beamed at me. "Well, I'm just glad you've found someone who makes you so happy. You deserve it, Alex." I nodded, my heart filled with joy. "I can't wait for you to meet her. I have a feeling she's going to be a big part of my life." Ethan's smile widened. "I can't wait either. And don't worry, I'll make sure everything runs smoothly while you're out on your dates." I chuckled, knowing I could always count on Ethan "Thank you, ethan. You're the best." With a heart full of love and a dedicated assistant by my side, I couldn't wait to see where this new-found love would take me. Hours had gone by and soon enough office hours were over and it was time for the employees to vacate the office to their various homes. I was arranging my files and drawers having in mind that I'm supposed to pick mia up at 6 today. I also wanted to make sure everything was well organized before I left the office. While I was busy doing all that I got felt my phone vibrate in the pocket of my trousers. **Buzz buzz** A call from an unknown number. I wondered who it could be maybe it's just one of my clients. I answered the phone "Hello? Alex Hero on the line how may I help you?" " Hey there handsome!" I recognize that voice from anywhere at all, could it be who I think it is?
