Basil shook with fear and stepped closer. The monster had one arm free and was wrestling the rest of his body loose. Black magic sprung from Basil's fingertips and slammed into the monster. Its upper body bent backward in an unnatural way. It gargled and went limp. Bonedread's mouth fell open, but before he could react, Basil's magic hit him between the eyes and he slumped to the floor. Basil whipped around and hit Zeeback and Bigrot. They collapsed in a heap.
