PROLOGUE
HIS GLISTENING eyes look down at me with so much sincerity. My hands went up to his lean and broad shoulder, letting it travel up there —gripping on it. His hand made its way on my waist, moving up to my shoulder to my face, cupping my cheeks gently. I can feel the tingly sensation in my body that feels so wrong yet feels so right. His small touch on my exposed skin sends an electricity throughout my whole body. It felt both so familiar and unfamiliar feeling his touches that my nerve seems to enjoy unconsciously. “I love you, Ashley.” he whispered in a raspy yet deep voice. Within a few seconds, our lips collide with one another. It’s like everything I have asked for. My body feels hot and I am losing my senses from his touches. I can feel his hand lowering down from my checks to my shoulders to my back until it stopped on the top of my bum. I flinched when I felt him squeeze it as a moan escaped my lips due to the tension. “I love you too.” I said, in between kisses. Slowly, the kiss became deeper and deeper. The next thing I knew, my back came in contact with the soft mattress that embraced his perfume. It’s so addicting that I can inhale it and get lost with it without getting tired of it. His hand keeps wandering on my body as I focus on gripping on his broad shoulder while matching his pace. “Are you sure you want to do this?” He whispered in that deep voice. “Don’t ask anymore. Just do it.” I said, panting. I could see the smile on his face but… I can’t catch a glimpse of his face. It was all a blur. It was like he was purposely hiding it to make me even more excited that I already am. The only thing I could feel was the growing hotness inside my body that was formed from his electrifying touches. His hand stopped on top of my clothed stomach as I squeezed my thighs all together, feeling the sensation down there. He reaches for the hem of my shirt and slowly lifts it up. Our kiss broke as he took my shirt off from my head but immediately showered me with kisses right away—not even letting a single second pass through. My breathing is rapid and I felt the coldness of the room the moment it came in contact with my bare upper body. He lets go of the kiss as I stare up back at him. He scans over my naked upper body as a blurry smile forms his lips. It felt weird being half naked in front of him—an unknown guy in my memory yet feels so familiar—but his comment immediately brushed off the consciousness. “You are beautiful.” A shaky moan escapes my lips as he gives me one last deep kiss before lowering down to my chin. He left soft kisses in there as he went lower, stopping on my neck. My arms are wrapped on his neck as he gives kisses on my neck—sucking and nibbling on it. I turn my head to the side to give him more access as I can’t help but get lost with the growing sensation. His kisses lower down to my collarbone after countless sucking on my neck which I am sure will leave a mark on it. In a swift, his hand found its way on my back—unclasping my bra making me completely half naked in front of him. I was about to cover my chest upon feeling the loss of contact with my underwear but he stopped my arms from doing so. “Don’t ever try to cover up for me. Not to me.” He says. Without any warning, his one hand found its way to my left breast with the other on my right. He lowered his head down onto my right, bringing me in my wildest state as he kept on squeezing on the other. I squeeze my thighs closer to one another, feeling the wetness down there. He did the same on the other, giving it the same sensation, that left me a moaning mess. He went up once again, leaving my bare chest, to give me his sweet kisses over my lips once again. I can feel the lust yet the controlling feeling in it as if his trying to restrain himself still. It was so obvious that he was controlling himself from going any further, but at this moment, I don’t care anymore. I just want him. Only him. “Don’t turn your back on me, okay? Don’t run away from me.” I said, pleading obviously in my voice. “Never.” “You said you will stay! You said you won’t let them get in the way!” I raised my voice, letting all the tears fall down on my cheeks. It hurts. I wanted to break down and keep on crying. I want to go and hug him tight like we used to do. I don’t care if I need to plead. I don’t care if I need to turn my back to the people who can’t accept my happiness. All I care about is him… I just need him to be with me. “It's best for you to follow them. We are not and won’t ever be a good match for each other, Ashley.” He said, trying to remain calm but I can feel his restraint through his voice. “They don’t know what is best for me! You don’t know what is best for me! Please,” I tried reaching for his hand but he swatted it away. “Please… please go back to your words. Tell me you still love me. Please.” He looks at me as if there is no love left in his beating heart for me. There was only blankness and not even a single sight of care is seen anymore. For him, I am just… nothing anymore. “I don’t love you anymore, Ashley.” He firmly says while looking at me straight to the eye. “I never loved you.” My vision remains blurred as I can feel my body rolling with the sound of a car crashing on the road, the only thing I can hear. No voice can come out of my mouth as I can only ask for help through my head that no one seems to ever hear nor even want to hear what is going on in there. No one will hear it, especially not him because… he doesn’t care about me anymore. The car stopped and I was left hanging upside down with only the buckled seat belt saving me from any more trouble. My vision slowly gets blurry but all I can think of is him. I love you, Ashley. I don’t love you anymore, Ashley. I never loved you. His deception. His lies. It was the only thing I have on my mind until… everything went black. A hard strike from a soft texture-like object comes in contact with my face, bringing me back to reality. “For goodness sake, b***h! Wake the f**k up!” A familiar feminine voice says. “Shut up, Marley!” I groaned, throwing back the pillow to where I felt the direction of the strike came from with my eyes closed. I tried pulling up the blanket to cover my face but she was quick to pull it out of my body completely. Without any warning, she pulled both of my arms to make me sit up before giving me a flick on my forehead. It was enough to make my eyes shoot open and glare at her presence right in front of me. “What was that for?!”. “That’s for you to wake up, b***h! It’s already 10am but you’re still slouching on your bed. Are you planning to stay there for the whole day or what?” she scolded like my own mother does almost every single chance she could get. I pushed her slightly, laying back down on my bed. “Leave me alone. I had to deal with another dull night yesterday by myself, so give me a rest.” “Well, if I may remind you, the person you spend another dull night with is your fiancé.” a groan escapes my lips, remembering the reality. “Whether you like it or not, you need to learn how to deal and be nice with him starting now instead of being the actual b***h you are all the time.” I rolled my eyes in response. I felt a hand smack my bum, making me get up into a sitting position right away. “Get your lazy up now, Ms. Ashley Nicole Cruz, if you don’t want your mother dear to come here and get you herself.” she threatened. “Thanks for the reminder, Marley Rose Kelly. But the two of you really know how to ruin my morning.” She shrugged, side lips rising up a bit at the same time, before standing up from my bed. She walks towards the door but stops before she can even close it. I raised a brow when she turned back to me with a playful smirk plastered on her full lips. “By the way, nice moaning. You should keep practicing that. I just didn’t expect that even in your dreams, you still have your wet moments.” It was enough for me to reach for another pillow and throw it in her direction. Before it can even hit her, she immediately opens the door then comes out before closing it in a hurry. I can still hear her laughter outside the door. “What a b***h,” I whispered, shaking my head. I leaned my back into the headboard of my bed, slouching. My thoughts drifted to that dream again. It wasn’t the first, not even the second. It happened countless times already with the events. Every single time I had one, it just kept adding up the old ones that I have. It felt so real that I can’t even think of how that dream was even formed. Was it real? Or just some made up dreams? It’s all the same, but what makes it not different from another is that… I still haven’t seen his face. I still don’t know who he is. He still remains… blur in my dreams, nor even in my memory.
