My Lost Wolf

October 16, 2016, The night of the Hunter's Moon The night of Odessa's eighth birthday rouge wolves attacked, the Moonstone Pack. Odessa's mother Edith NorthStar had taken and hid her in a secret room of their house. Tears streaked down Odessa's cheeks from her blue eyes, as she nodded her head at her mother. "Odessa Marie, you stay right here in this spot. You're father is with Alpha Ripley, I have to go too. As soon as it is safe Ethan will come and get you. I love you, my sweet girl." Edith said as she kissed her daughter's forehead. Tucking a stray strand of her blonde hair behind her ear. "I love you too, mommy." Odessa said to her mother as she slid the panel covered. Odessa, sat in the dark for hours as the war between her pack and the rouges raged on. She flinched as glass shattered somewhere in the house. That's when she heard the sound of wolf nails clicking on the wooden floor. Odessa pressed a hand to her mouth to keep herself from screaming. All of a sudden a fist punched through the false panel and grabbed Odessa's sweater making her scream as she was pulled through broken wood. "Lookie, what we have here. A little lonely she-pup." The rouge wolf sneered as he looked at her. She had just started to talk with her inner wolf a few weeks ago and was going to start practicing shifting into her wolf form. Her blue eyes shifted to gold as her wolf stepped forward to try and protect them. The rouge, however just laughed at her as he called out to his friend. "Hey, Joe look what we have here." The one called Joe just smiled at her. Odessa didn't like the way he was looking at her. Bringing her k-9's out she bit down on the ones arm making him drop her. "Ouch, god damn you little brat." The first rouge cried out. The rouge called Joe cut off her escape and back handed her across the face. As she fell to the floor she scrambled to get to her knees when she was grabbed by the leg and thrown down on the couch. The threads of her green sweater ripped as he grabbed her shoulders his claws digging into her skin. She knew what he was going to do to her. But her wolf must have been knocked out. She wasn't strong enough to fight on her own. So Odessa did the only other thing she could, she screamed. Her screams where cut off as she was slapped in the face again this time she tasted blood. "Get your filthy paws off of my little girl." Odessa's father growl, he was covered in blood and scratches. His blonde hair had blood smeared in it too. Odessa stayed conscious long enough to see a chestnut wolf with blue eyes creep in around the two rouges. "Well look at this the Beta is all by his lonesome." Joe the rouge taunted. As he went to look at Odessa one more time before shifting into his wolf. He was greeted by the chestnut wolf standing over Odessa and baring it's teeth at him. "No one in my pack is ever alone. First you trespass into our territory. Then you have the gall to attack my Betas daughter. Death is your only reward." Came the fierce voice of Alpha Ripley Silverlight He was a massive Silver and black wolf. "Edith, get her to the pack doctor, the Alpha and I are going to take out some trash." Cliff said to his mate Shifting into her human form. Edith scooped her daughter into her arms. Odessa, whimpered at the movement. "I'm sorry, baby." Edith whispered as she held Odessa against her chest and ran out of the house. As she ran, the sounds of shifting could be heard, just before the echos of snarls and growling started and the sound of bones crunching. Whines of pain, soon end in silence. WWWWWWWWWWWWWW Cliff NorthStar, burst through the infirmary doors and down the hallway. Where he found his mate, Edith sitting in a blue seat in the waiting room, with their son, Ethan at her side. "They made me leave, our baby girl back there all alone." Edith sobbed as she clung to her mates chest. "She's hurt really bad Cliff. They aren't sure if she ever regain consciousness." Edith said in between sobs. A few minutes later, Alpha Ripley came into the infirmary to see how Cliff and Edith's daughter was doing. "How is she Cliff?" Ripley asked Beta and friend. "I don't know, Ripley we haven't heard anything yet. Beta Cliff NorthStar replied to the Alpha. A doctor came into view then, he was about 5'ft and 11 inches tall he had black hair, dark almond shaped eyes and a light tan complexion. From the look in Cliff and Edith's eyes they knew him well. "Cliff, Edith, you may come and see her now. I will warn you, it's not good." He said before continuing. "Her right femur is cracked, her right wrist and forearm are broken. Odessa's left collarbone is broken and her left shoulder is almost shattered the claw marks there will never fully go away. She has a concussion and a hair line fracture to her skull." The doctor said as he rattled off the list of her injuries. "Odessa's wolf side should help with the healing process, right Doc?" Odessa's father asked the doctor. "That's where things start getting a little murky, Cliff." The doctor replied to Odessa's father. "What do you, mean Leon?" Cliff questioned the doctor. "We can't reach Odessa's wolf. She won't answer or step into Odessa's consciousness. Even if her wolf hasn't awaken yet we should have been able to reach her." Odessa's mother questioned Leon more. "What does this mean for my daughter?" The pack doctor cleared his throat. "It means a long road to recovery and that Odessa will never be able to shift into her, wolf form. She may never be able to find her mate. As if it will effect anything else like her strength etc. only time will tell." A few days later: Odessa started to come to, to find her parents at her bed side asleep. Alpha Ripley, sat in a chair not far from her bed. "Mommy, where's Ethan he never came to get me." Odessa asked before closing her eyes again. Ripley, walked up to the unoccupied side of Odessa's bed. It was then that the Alpha noticed the beads of sweat on the young she-wolf's forehead. A high fever was now accosting her small body. Ripley then shook Cliff awake, before rushing out of the room to retrieve Dr. Leon Harken to Odessa's bedside. The sound of Alpha Ripley yelling at the pack doctor, woke up Odessa's mother, Edith from her sleep. "There has to be something else, you can do to lower her fever!" Alpha Ripley said firmly to Leon. "We are doing what we can. She's been on every antibiotic that I can think of that won't harm her or her wolf. It's been a miracle Odessa is still with us. I just wish I knew what happened to her wolf." After that...another two days later Odessa NorthStar woke up. She was slowly starting to heal slightly faster then a human. But her healing wasn't as fast as it should be for a werewolf shifter. Odessa's right wrist and right leg were in cast. A special brace was holding her collarbone in place. Her right arm was in a sling to keep her shoulder still. Since her fever had broken and she was now awake. Dr. Harken had released her into her family's care. Which meant the care of the whole pack. There was only one catch due to her head trauma, Odessa had no memory of the attack. The first week of being home, she was stuck in bed. Her best friend Kayley Silverlight and her big brother Holden Silverlight came over every day to keep her company. Their parents, were Alpha Ripley Silverlight and Luna Lara Silverlight. Holden would one day take over for his father. All of her broken bones were healed and all of the casts had been removed.Life for Odessa NorthStar started to slowly go back to normal or at least as much as it could, without her wolf.
