James' POV
Samantha and I didn't have time alone until evening because of our busy schedule. I asked her for dinner and was glad that even there was hesitancy in her eyes, she still agreed with me.
"So, you're already engaged, huh? Then, what that made me?"
Her tone was full of sarcasm and her eyes were full of pain. My jaws were clenching tightly, along with my heart. I promised to protect her and never hurt her, but now I was the one giving her the biggest misery of her life. Her pain is extreme agony for me. It was a thousand times worse than one could imagine.
