Episode 1 : A Mysterious Message, The Beginning of a New Journey
A big, haunted, terrifying house sits atop a hill, wisps of fading fog rising from it. The house is surrounded by an abandoned garden covered in wild grass and dead trees, their branches hanging down like outstretched hands. The dark, winding path leads you to the front door, which looks old and worn. Carved into the door is a statue resembling an angry face, staring at you with eyes blazing like fire. As you prepare to open the door, you feel as though you're being watched, and you break into a cold sweat of fear. Then, a woman appears, wearing a torn red cloak with shredded strips of fabric hanging from it. Her smooth black hair is short, swaying gently with every step she takes toward the house. Her face is shadowed and darkened, deepening her mystery and sending a shiver down your spine. The mysterious woman enters the house, into the heart of a darkness wrapped in terrifying silence — a deeply frightening place. Faint candles flicker against crumbling walls, casting eerie shadows across a floor covered in dust and mold. A heavy air hangs over everything, stirring the nerves, and mad, shrieking cries echo through the dark corridors. Disturbing sounds rise from the depths of the place, sounds that breathe horror and freeze the blood in your veins. The old furniture moves without reason, as though some hidden force controls everything. Strange barriers block any way out, creating a feeling of frustration and confusion. There is no light in this terrifying place, save for a meager sliver of moonlight slipping through the broken windows, offering a false illusion of hope. Every corner is covered by two corpses, faint voices rising from them as if calling your name! It is a place that terrifies even the bravest of hearts, revealing true fear and the loneliness lurking within the human soul. As the woman in the torn red cloak enters the house, she feels a terrifying atmosphere fill the place. Before her, a horrifying, dreadful silhouette gradually begins to appear, closely resembling the shape of a woman. This terrifying being approaches her with slow, unsteady steps, leaving behind trails of darkness and dread. Suddenly, the woman in the torn red cloak, filled with courage and confidence, draws a sword from her side. She strikes the horrifying creature with force and decisiveness, defeating it in a gruesome way that scatters blood and darkness around her. Despite the terror and fear, the woman in the torn red cloak steadies herself and prepares to face more challenges and evil creatures within this dark, abandoned house. The scene begins in total darkness, a blackness sweeping over the place, as a terrifying atmosphere takes hold. The dreadful silence turns into frightening whispers echoing everywhere, deepening the terror and tension. Suddenly, the sound of beautiful birds begins to fill the air, and the leaves rustle gently in a light breeze that refreshes the surroundings. Warm sunlight creeps in through the open window, waking a beautiful woman with short black hair. She looks out toward the cool breeze coming through her window to start her day, but at the same time she hears the sound of a child's footsteps and laughter coming from below her room. She realizes the child must be hungry and laughs to herself, saying, "He must already have quite an appetite." And so, the cool breeze and the sound of laughter fill this bright, beautiful morning with a feeling of hope and joy. The beautiful woman gets up from her bed. She walks to her table and drinks some water to quench her thirst, then opens the drawer and takes out her journal. She begins writing today's date and notes that it is Monday, the 17th of August, in the year 25809. She jots down a few things in the journal, then closes it and puts it back in the drawer. She rises from her chair and heads to her wardrobe to change her clothes, hesitating as her face takes on a silly expression, and she says, "Why does choosing clothes have to be so hard?" Then she remembers she's home and smiles, saying, "Right, I'm home — I'll just stay in my pajamas." She opens her bedroom door and heads into the hallway, where there are several doors, one of them engraved with "The King's Room." The beautiful woman walks down the stairs with steady, confident steps. She calls out to Rawan in a voice full of tenderness and warmth, saying, "Rawan, did you bring the bread for breakfast?" The little boy's voice answers innocently and happily, "Yes, I did!" The beautiful woman continues down the stairs and heads toward the living room — simple and beautifully designed. She sits on the comfortable couch and looks toward the kitchen door, which stands about 3 cm away. At that moment, the child Rawan comes in — a beautiful boy, blind in his left eye, with his left arm missing. The child says with a sweet smile, "Good morning, Mom." The mother replies warmly, "Good morning, my king." She kisses his lovely cheeks and hugs him tenderly, then tells him with a friendly smile, "Come, let's change the bandages on your eye and arm, then we'll make our delicious breakfast." The child replies eagerly, "Yes, let's do that!" After changing the bandages, they head to the kitchen. His mother asks him in a playful, sweet tone, "So, my king, what would you like for breakfast?" Rawan answers innocently, "I'd like tea with milk, and a tomato juice salad." His mother replies fondly, "Alright." ⟪Note⟫ The small kitchen is located at the center of the house. On the table, which seats two, sits a basket of fresh vegetables and another basket of colorful fruit. There is a window overlooking a beautiful garden outside. Next to the window, the kitchen has a small oven and a fire stove. There are three cabinets — one tall one usually used for storing spices, seasonings, and other items, and two medium-sized ones that typically hold plates, cookware, spoons, knives, and cups. ⟪End of Note⟫ The mother takes a kettle and a knife out of the cabinet and closes it carefully. Then she takes a box of tea from the tall cabinet and sets it on the table. She fills the kettle with water and places it on the iron stove. Next, she takes a bag from beside the oven containing quick-lighting coals, pulls out a match from the bag, and lights the coals she's placed in the stove. She breaks a few twigs and adds some of them to build a light flame. Then she sets the kettle to boil and starts washing the vegetables. She tells her son, "Have a banana, it's fresh — start with that." The mother chops the cucumber and carrots quickly and with impressive precision, amazing her son. She then takes a medium-sized plate from the cabinet and puts the chopped carrots and cucumber in it. Next, she takes some tomatoes and squeezes them into a bowl, then adds a bit of oil and water, along with some salt. She takes the kettle off the fire, adds the tea, and stirs it. Then she adds a bit of mint to give the tea a lovely flavor and aroma. She then asks her son if he brought the milk, and he answers yes — the milk is on top of the cabinet. She takes two cups and fills them a quarter full with milk, then pours the tea over the milk. Afterward, she sets breakfast on the table and tells her son with a smile that they should thank God for this blessing before they begin eating. The mother cuts the bread into small pieces so Rawan can easily eat it with the tomato juice salad. As her little son Rawan looks at her, he begins eating his breakfast. While he eats, a conversation starts between him and his mother. She asks him about his day and listens to his exciting stories. Rawan then tells her that his friend Abdo told him that his grandfather is going to make a new kind of cheese and will be selling it next week. He adds that his grandfather will sell it to them at a discounted price because of their friendship. The mother smiles and replies warmly, "Of course, my little darling, don't forget to buy us some cheese when next week comes." Just then, a knock on the front door interrupts them, making them look at each other in surprise and unease. The mother asks her son to finish his meal and goes to answer the door. But when she opens it, she's met with the tall, handsome figure of a dark-skinned man with green eyes. The man says to her, "How are you, Rayan?" Rayan replies, "I'm well, Dylan, and how are you?" Dylan answers politely, "Thank you for asking — I'm doing great." Rayan asks, surprised, "What is it? Is there a problem?" Dylan replies, his expression serious and tension showing on his face, "Yes, there's a problem. We've received a red message from a king — the Kingdom of Athena — and it concerns something very important." Rayan, puzzled, says, "So?" Dylan's expression grows even more serious as he tells her, "The message is addressed to you." Rayan says, "Wait for me." Rayan closes the door and tells her son Rawan that she's going to work, and that once he finishes eating, he'll go with his Uncle Dylan to stay at his house. Rawan answers hesitantly, "Okay, but don't be late coming back." The mother doesn't respond and goes upstairs to change her clothes, and as she does, she begins thinking about the message Dylan told her about. As she mulls things over deeply in her room, she tries to understand what this red message could be about. She remembers past confrontations that occurred whenever she received red messages, and she worries about the possible consequences of this one. At that moment, she decides to prepare herself to face whatever challenges may be waiting. She takes off her pajamas completely and puts on loose black jeans and a white shirt. She fastens two leather belts onto the jeans, and hangs two more over her shoulders, connecting them to the jeans with a strap that ties beneath her chest. She puts on a black jacket, and then a new pair of black shoes. Now she wants her watch — she takes it and puts it on her wrist. Then she bends down to her bed and pulls out her katana-like sword from beneath it. The sword is medium in length and black in color. The head of the hilt bears a symmetrical white triangular shape that matches the form of the sword, and white cords are wound around the grip, giving it a striking look. Rayan slides the sword into the sheath on the right side of her waist, opens her bedroom door, and heads downstairs. She then tells Rawan, "Come on, we're leaving now." Rayan steps out of the house with her son Rawan. Dylan is waiting for them outside. Rayan tells Rawan, "Rawan, go with your Uncle Dylan." Dylan says, "Come on, champ," and takes Rawan along with him, while Rayan heads to her bicycle, mounts it, and rides down the slope leading into a small city. ⟪Note⟫ A small city known for its beauty and charm. It has a hospital providing healthcare to residents, and shops selling fresh vegetables and meat. People and families move through the city, some wearing white cloaks that add elegance and a touch of magic to the scene. Armed guards are also visible, resembling the city's security forces, patrolling the streets to ensure safety. Young children play happily, laughing and enjoying their time in the parks and public spaces. A beautiful river runs alongside the city, adding natural beauty and calm to the overall scene. ⟪End of Note⟫ Rayan speeds off on her bicycle toward her headquarters in the city center. When she reaches the six-story building, she leaves the bike, climbs the stairs, and opens the door to the headquarters. There, she finds an elderly man — bald, bearded, short in stature but physically strong. He wears a green coat, and his expression is serious, as if signaling that something very dangerous is happening. In his hand, he holds the red message. In this moment, Rayan senses the severity of the situation, having never before seen this man express emotion in such a way. Rayan says to the man, "Let's go to my office, Michael." Michael doesn't answer her question, but follows her to her office on the fourth floor. Rayan and Michael enter Rayan's private office and sit in chairs facing each other. Silence fills the room for a few moments, then Michael breaks it, telling Rayan to open the letter and read its contents. Rayan takes the letter and opens it slowly, then begins reading. The message describes a long, grand corridor in a dark palace lit by moonlight and candles. The images show animals and trees, and a maid wandering through the palace. The letter's tale begins in the voice of a grown man, recounting what happened. The man says, "I have sent you this urgent message, Rayan, so that you may free us from the calamity that struck us last week. I had asked the maid to check on my three children in their room when I heard a crash and screaming. I ran toward their room, and when I opened the door, I found the place covered in blood and entrails, with a massive hole torn in the ceiling. Moonlight lit the room, and in the corner I saw the creature holding my child — who was under four years old — and devouring him. When the maid started screaming, the beast looked at her, smiled, and then suddenly vanished. I ask you, Rayan, to find this creature and bring back its head." After Rayan finishes reading the letter, Michael tells her that they've received security intelligence from the Kingdom of Athena describing the creature's form, based on the maid's account. According to the description, the creature's upper body consists of a white-skinned human torso, two black arms resembling the arms of a Black man, along with two thin arms in place of what would be suspenders. It also has a massive stomach, with a slit running from the navel up to the chest, where it is said to place infants and small children to devour later. As for the creature's face, it is that of an adult man with white skin, no eyebrows, wide eyes, and pupils that are extremely black — said to glow red in dark places. Its mouth is wide with no lips, just skin covering it, and its teeth are sharp and medium-sized. Its ears are those of a lion. Its head is covered in soft, thick hair that covers its entire back. As for its lower body, it is that of a serpent, but the end of its tail splits into two long parts resembling a scorpion's tail, with the tail measuring roughly 6 meters in length. ⟪Note⟫ This is the description of the strange and terrifying creature whose head Rayan must find, based on the security information she was given. ⟪End of Note⟫ When Michael finishes describing the beast, Rayan looks up at the ceiling, then takes a deep breath in and out, slightly audibly. She then shares her perspective on the matter with Michael, saying, "Based on this description, we can say it's a Terata, not a Hybrid. Also, I think that maid is lying, because Terata can't tolerate any light, no matter how weak. That's why they always try to stay in dark places or use protective coverings to shield their bodies from the pain. And usually, those coverings are very noticeable when a Terata is in a lit area. The maid never mentioned that. And second, this beast wouldn't be satisfied with just three small children — it should have devoured the maid along with them." Rayan falls silent, a look of unease crossing her face. Michael responds, "I agree with you, Miss Rayan, but there are two possibilities you haven't considered. First, this could be a new type of Terata, or an advanced type developed by the Savior's soldiers. And second, this might just be the corpse of a dead Terata being controlled by some sorcerer or demon. It's also clear from its target — killing the king's children — that it's carrying out a specific mission." Rayan replies, her face angry, "So someone planned all of this?" Michael answers, "Yes, someone — or something — did." Rayan asks, "Has the creature's location been identified?" Michael answers, "Yes, we did that yesterday when we received the security message — the birds helped us pinpoint its location. We found that it's residing at the peak of the Great Green Mountain, formerly known as Mount Everest. The distance to get there is roughly 3,921 km." Michael then asks her, "Will you be using fast travel this time?" Rayan answers in an unsettling tone, "No, I won't. It uses up too much of the sword's energy, and you know the price it takes to recharge it." Michael replies, "Alright, don't say it like that, it's creepy. Since you won't be using fast travel, we have a few side tasks you can handle along the way. You need to be careful of the Sa'aluwah creature that appears this time of year, causing loss of life and destroying farmland and livestock. Clear out any gathering of them you find. Also watch out for the expanding sea area when you reach China — there's been a surge in the Dandan creature's population there. There are also reports of a city belonging to the Savior's soldiers that's been dealing with demons and other creatures. You need to destroy it." Rayan replies, "Is that everything?" Michael answers, "No, that's just what we have so far." Rayan stands and heads toward the door. Michael then tells her that Commander Dylan's scouting group managed to find some ancient weapons, and that a soldier will hand her one at the gate. Rayan replies calmly, "Alright, I'll keep that in mind." She opens the door and steps out of the headquarters, ready for the adventure ahead. ⟪Note⟫ **The Terata:** - Born from the union of a male jinn and a human female. - Form: a mix between a human body and a jinn body. - Evil and bloodthirsty, possessing supernatural abilities. - Suffers from light but does not die or weaken from it while in physical form. **The Hybrids:** - Born from the union of a human male and a female jinn. - Form: identical to a human body, but possesses extremely sharp intelligence and cunning. - Lacks strong supernatural abilities, but combines human intellect with jinn capabilities. - Usually non-hostile and highly social, but still dangerous — more dangerous than the Terata, since it can live among humans undetected. ⟪End of Note⟫ Rayan stands before the city gate, shielding herself from the scorching sunlight. Suddenly, a soldier appears before her, carrying a distinctive black bag and a bright white Magnum pistol. "Here's this bag — you might need it on your journey," the soldier says with a smile, holding it out to her. Rayan takes the bag and opens it curiously. Inside, she finds some tools and supplies that might prove useful during her journey — first aid supplies, a flashlight, some bird feed, and ammunition for the Magnum placed inside the bag. Rayan thanks the soldier and takes the bag and the pistol. They're just like the tools she'll be carrying on her thrilling journey. *** The dark night sky unfolds before Rayan as she steps onto ground ruled by chaos and terror. She plunges into a world that seems remade in horror's image, where monsters with crooked heads sit enthroned upon atrocity. Criminals lurk in the shadows, watching and observing her every move. Amid the darkness and threat, Rayan defies the dangers and hardships in her path toward the Great Green Mountain. Her ability to face monsters and battle criminals stirs the warrior spirit within her. In the distance, she glimpses the creature she seeks to destroy, its jaw askew, its skin torn and ragged. Rayan's dark eyes watch the scene with eager anticipation, her heart pounding hard in her tense chest. She breathes in the air, thick with dread and tension, with every step, moving toward her terrifying and heroic fate. In the next chapter, she will discover what her eyes behold when destiny looks back at her. ⟪To be continued⟫
