The disciplinary committee room was dimly lit as usual, the fluorescent lights overhead casting a creepy glow that made my skin prickle. The air was thick with tension, heavy with the scent of polished wood and paper. I could feel the weight of judgment in my parents' gaze as they glared at me, but I rolled my eyes before facing the man in front of me.
I stood before the committee, my parents seated beside me, their faces etched with disapproval and concern.
Professor Chris sat opposite them, his eyes locked onto mine, radiating confidence and reassurance.
