I woke to the warm sunlight peeking through the curtains, bathing the room in a warm light. I stretched, feeling refreshed after a good night's rest, the soft sheets rustling beneath me. The aroma of freshly baked cookies wafted through the air, enticing me to start the day.
“Are you awake, your Majesty,” I heard my housekeeper's voice behind the door. She was the only one who knew that I was the Alpha of this pack. Well, I brought her with me when I was about to come here.
She was a trusted pack member. Plus she was a very good friend of my mother's and my younger sister's nanny. She was sworn to secrecy, and to make sure she never told anyone that I was the Alpha.
