I was sitting down on my bed, engrossed in a novel I had gotten from the school's library when my younger sister burst into the room, her bright pink sneakers screeching on the floor.
I glanced up, meeting her gaze briefly before taking my eyes back to my book.
“Hey, you?” She called, but I ignored her, my eyes fixed on the book.
“Are you deaf? I'm talking to you,” she hissed, her voice rising. That was when I decided to stare at her.
I looked up at her, meeting her scowl. “How can I help you, your Majesty?” I asked as I put the book away. I crossed my arms, my eyes narrowing.
