Chapter 12 Celebration

Kathy and Samantha held a celebration for their husbands for coming back home alive from the war because of being gone for 10 years. They are happy to have their family whole again and to have their wonderful children and their grandchildren to have. But there was a problem with the castle. When Lana and Joseph were in their room they heard voices in their closet. Every time they were playing a game, but every time someone did a turn, the voice got louder and that was when they ran and go tell their parents and tell them there are voices in their closet and it is scaring them.

And Joseph asks, “Could we sleep in your room tonight with you?”

Luke says and looks at Erin and she nods that it was okay for them to sleep with them tonight. Joseph and Lana went outside to ride their horses in the field. While the children were outside in the field, Luke and Erin went to look around their children’s room to see why they got so scared. Then Luke remembered what Joseph said, “the closet”. When he opened the closet door there was a little girl and a puppy.

Luke said, “Erin, I think you should come here.”

When Erin went to the closet she was telling the little girl that it was okay to come out.

She said to Luke, “Honey, get the puppy while I get the child.”

Then she picked up the little child and carried her to Lana’s bed and rocked her in her arms. Until she fell asleep. When the little girl was asleep.

Erin asked Luke, “How old do you think she is?”

Luke said, “Maybe 4. What do you want to do?”

Erin said, “I am thinking of keeping her as our 3rd child and letting Lana have a little sister to take care of.”

Luke smiled and kissed his wife, meaning yes. Erin was worried now because Joseph did not have a brother to have. So when Erin and Luke went out of Lana and Joseph's room, Luke caught her in his arms and started to kiss her neck.

Erin asks, “Luke what are you doing?”

Luke said, “Why don't we have another boy for Joseph to play with?”

Erin said, “Luke, that would be wonderful.”

Luke picked Erin up in his arms and carried her to their room down the hall.

Luke and Erin had a wonderful time all night. When Lana and Joseph came back to their room, Lana saw the little child in her bed asleep curled up with a small puppy in her arms. Lana went to her parent’s room and knocked on the door when her dad came out.

She asked him, “Dad, there is another kid in my bed.”

Luke said, “Sweetie, that was the voice that was in your closet. And her name is Kate. She was scared when we found her.” “So you have to be nice to her because she is going to be your new sister.”

Lana was jumping up and down saying, “I have a sister now. Could I go tell grandma and grandpa please?”

Luke said, “Yes you can and be nice to Kate.”

When Luke went back into his room, Lana went running to her grandma and grandpa. When she got there she told them everything and then she took them to meet Kate. After they got to the room, they were surprised that Kate was still asleep in Lana’s bed with the puppy at her feet. They left her alone so she could get some rest. About 30 or 40 minutes later, she was awake and was looking for Erin. When Kate found her she was saying mommy, when Erin turned around she looked down and smiled and gave Kate a kiss on her cheek and turned her in her arms and smiled and told everyone.

Erin said, “This is Kate. She is 4 years old and we will be adopting her for Lana. So she can have a sister”
