Ch 26 Curtis

We were standing near the human portal waiting for Cordeila and her rouges to arrive. Curtis turned to his right to see another portal open and out walks his royal army team and Hazel.
"Well, hello, handsome. What a surprise to see you here," Hazel giggled.
Haha, funny. How are you?
"Wonderful now for seeing you. Now, who is this striking good-looking alpha?" she asked.
Curtis shaked his head. Behave you.Pointing at her. It's like being around a horny teenager.
"Well, in my defence, I was locked up for most of my teenage years. I'm making up for lost time." Hazel said.
He heard Harry laugh. Curtis stared at him. "Sorry, general, but she's funny," Harry said.
"She has your sense of humour, Harry," Caspian said.
"Oh, so you are Caspian. Nice to meet you. You are the lucky mate of Winter," Hazel said.
"I am," he said.
"Good cos you will need luck being related to this one," Hazel said, pointing at Curtis.
Are you done? "Oh boohoo. You are grumpy in war mode. "
We have a job, Hazel. "Okay, okay. Your team is here once the rouges have all appeared. I will open a portal right outside the cells, and they will go for sentencing. Happy?,"
Okay, good. He has a question for you. Do you remember anyone with Silver eyes?
"Only Summer and now Winter, why?"
When we were attacked and he saw 2 silver eyes in the trees, and it felt familiar to him.
"I dont know. Let me have a think,"
He turned and spoke to his team. He explained the plan. We are waiting for Cordeila. She is a female rouge. She has a group of rouges with her. All are to be cuffed and taken back to the kingdom.
Caspian stood with Troy. He saw Cordeila appear with her rouges all in cars and about 10 surround them. Curtis laughed she actually thinks she can fight us. His team got into position. She got out of her car and stepped forward.
"You must be Curtis." Cordeila said.
The one and only. Cordeila turned to Caspian and Troy. Her face turned angry. She saw Caspian mark on his neck.
"WHEN?" she asked.
When what?
"You know what. Why did you let that child mark you," She said.
Caspian just laughed. That's why he didn't let Winter come. There's nothing to do with protecting the pack. Caspian wanted to piss her off without winter here. Show Troy what his mother really was about.
"Mother, is that all you care about.You lost your right to Caspian after you f***ed his father," Troy said.
"Don't speak to me like that, I'm you're mother,?" Cordeila said.
"Why? what you going to do about it. You've ruined my life already." Troy said.
Her eyes were fulled with anger. "Attack them now," she said.
He told Caspian to remove Troy. His unit knew what to do. Cordeila had roughly 30 rouges. His unit could take down 1 against 5. It didn't take long to pin them all down. All the rouges were captured. The look on Cordeila's face was priceless. Cordeila went to run. He chased after her. No where to go Cordeila give up.
"Here I brought you what you wanted," Cordeila said
He turned to see tho silver eyes, and in that moment, he knew who it was. Cole, it's been a long time. What do you want? and why help her?
"It's nice to be seen Curtis how you been?"

"Well, I want, you dead and for your daughter to watch you die and for you to watch me mark and mate her painfully. Cordeila was just my way in. You see, I had a seer look into Winter many years ago. She informed me her mate was in this pack, so I just patiently waited." he said, smiling.
The next thing a knife shot at Cordeila killing her. "I dont need her now. "
How about you and he end this today.
"Where would the fun be in that. I want you to fear me coming, " Cole said.
You are not as strong as you think. You would have won the battle if you were. Cole scowled.
"I wasn't back then I am now,"
It's was over 30 years ago, Cole, let it go. She chose him. Why can't you just move on.
"I want revenge. I already got it with Summer now with you," he said.

"For someone who is very smart, you are very dumb. I shot summer with the posions arrow. The only cure is blood from a bloodline bear. Summer knew that she didn't want to use her daughter or contact her family to save her. "
Anger filled him, and he ran at Cole. For Hazel to jump in front of stopping him. She transported him back to Caspian. HAZEL, WHY DID YOU DO THAT. HE KILLED SUMMER.
"I know." she said. Tears in her eyes.

"I found out a few months ago it was Cole. " she admitted.
Why didn't you tell him?
"Because you were grieving, and it would have been a death trap. He wanted you to go find him. You would have died, and Winter would have lost her father, you wasn't in the right head space, hear it." She said.
His hand went around her neck. That wasn't your choice to make. Hazel didn't fight him. He felt a hand on his shoulder. It was Mel he's been part of his team. He's known him forever.
"Curt, let go. Hazel isn't the problem. Let go," He said.
He stared at his friend, then let go. He needs to go find him and kill him.
"No, we need to go back and regroup. Put a plan together on a clear head, not an emotional one for vengeance," Mel said.
Curtis nodded and just went and sat in the car. Caspian walked over to him. Are you alright?
"No, I just found out the most evilest man I have ever met killed my mate and now wants to kill him and take Winter away, so no, Caspian, he's not okay. "
Caspian didn't say anything and climbed into the car. We all drove in silence back. His team took the rouges to the kingdom, and Hazel came with him. Cordeila was dead. He will be getting a call from the king after Mel tells him what he did. Hazel sat behind him. Hazel??
"Forget it. No need." she said.
The kings rules.
"He doesn't need to know. I told Mel the same. Plus, he knows I can handle myself. If I wanted you on that floor, Curtis, I could have."
He's sorry.
"I know. You can make it up to later, " she said.
Curtis shaked his head. She was a dirty witch. He laughed to himself. We pulled up at the pack house. Winter and Hara were waiting for us.
"How did it go?" Hara said.
Eventful. Winter, can we talk. She looked at them all one by one.
"Yes, what happened? Caspian," She asked.
"It's all sorted on Cordeila's end, but you need to go talk with your father. Curtis uses my office it's private," Caspian said
Thank you. You may join us, but only you. Winter looked confused. Then she saw Hazel.
"Aunt Hazel"
Winter ran at her, hugging her.
"Hello, my sweet girl," Hazel said.
"Something bad has happened, hasn't it?" she asked her.
"Let your dad tell you," Hazel said.
We headed inside into the Caspian office. Caspian sat behind his desk. Winter sat on one of the sofas and Hazel in a single chair. Curtis sat next to Winter.
Firstly, Cordeila is dead. A man called Cole, who was helping her destroy the pack and kill Caspian, killed her himself. Cordeila served her purpose. His royal army took the rouges to the kingdom for punishment.
"Who is Cole, and what does he want?" she asked.
Cole wants himself dead and for you to be taken as his mate. He heard a growl from Caspian. Curtis turned to Caspian. It won't happen. Caspian trusts him on that.
"Dad, why does he want you dead?"
Curtis exhaled. They are something he's never told you about snow flake. "I'm not your mother's goddess gifted mate but chosen,"
"I dont understand. You met at a mating ball,"
That's true. Your mother was at the time training up to take over her kingdom. We chatted, and we got along. She kept making excuses to come to the wolfen kingdom. We grew to love each other. We spent many moons together, and unfortunately, we weren't goddesses gifted.
Your mother knew who her mate was going to be. She found out her parents paid a seer to see into her future. It was another bear from a royal family in the west. He wasn't going to be king but was from a wealthy royal family, and her parents wanted that for them, not her.
In the contract, she would accept him on the moon after she became Queen. She wanted to mate for love, not just because the goddess told her, too. Summer respected the mate bond but wanted it off her own choosing.
"So how did you end up together?"
Curtis smiled. Your mother told her parents she was renouncing her crown and told her parents she was going to move away with him and mark. They weren't happy and told Cole, her goddess gifted mate.
He found us and said that he would fight him for Summer. She refused it. He, however, accepted it. It was a challenge to the death. The wolfen king was there to make sure his family didn't cheat.
Curtis beat him but didn't kill him. Coles own father put an end to it, as he knew his son wasn't going to beat him. In the deal was made Cole, and Summer on the next full moon would reject each other and move on. He didn't make it easy on that full moon. Our king had to lay down law that a war would start if Cole didn't hold his end off the deal.
In the end, Cole did reject. Summer renowned her crown, packed her belongings, and moved to his home pack. Her parents had nothing to do with us after that. Even after your mother contacted them about you. They wanted to know if you were going to be wolf or bear. Actually, those people sent a seer to find out.
"Ha, I sorted that out quick," Hazel said.
