She was just staring at her father. She couldn't believe what she was hearing. Why did you lie to her, her whole life. She doesn't understand.
"We've always told you to hold out for your goddess gift, and we didn't want you to hate us for not doing the same." .
So why tell her to then?
"We knew you were going to be special and didn't want you mated of to someone who could hurt and use you like Cole. We thought the goddess wouldn't put you through it, like your mother,"
Bullshit.You just didn't want her mated off to Tanner. Neither of you liked him.
"No, i didn't think he wasn't good enough for you. Your mother thought he wasn't mature enough to handle both of your shifters,"
You are just like her mothers parents thinking you know best. Judging people before you even know them.
"Winter Frost. I have apologised to you and Caspian for my harsh behaviour,"
She just stared at her father. So this Cole wants you to suffer because he lost his goddess gifted mate.
"Yes, but he wanted your mother for all the wrong reasons. We fell in love for who we were, not what was expected of each other."
He's a bear then?
"Yes, he is. Why?"
Nothing, just curious. Mother would say to her that she wanted her to be mated to a bear so Skye wouldn't be lonely. Her father said nothing.
"We loved each other Winter, but that doesn't mean she didn't miss parts of her old life. We wanted both, but her parents didn't approve of our decisions and cut her off."
What about moms brother?
"When he finally took over, he shipped his parents off to their other home. He started to change things. He got in contact with her the last couple of years. He knew nothing of what they did to her,"
Winter didn't know if she believed that. She looked at her aunt Hazel
"He didn't know win. I checked him out," Hazel said, smiling.
"They is something else, Winter. Cole admitted to killing your mother. He shot her with a metal toxin that's posionness to a polar bear. A large dose, which is what he did, is fatal,"
Is they no cure? Her dad looked down. Dad, what is it? Her dad exhaled.
"The only known cure is a blood transfusion from a kin family member. Unfortunately, your grandparents refused and said she deserved what she got, and your uncle was in another realm he couldn't get to her quickly. "
Winter stood up, angry now. What about her she could have given it her?
"Your mother didn't want you to snowflake. The last report, the person who did this, died. The bear had to give that much blood he couldn't recover. Your mother didn't want that. She took her fate and died,"
She screamed at her father. She could feel tears running down her face. "I could have saved her,"
"She didn't want you to snowflakes she didn't want to risk your life for hers."
It wasn't just her decision. Winter started to walk towards the door. She needs some fresh air. She left the office and was walking along the tree line and felt arms wrap around her.
"How are you?" Caspian asked.
Confused, why do that leave her without a mother.
"Let me ask you, Winter. If you were seriously ill. Would you have let your mother help you knowing it might kill her?" Caspian said.
She stared at Caspian. No, she wouldn't have had.
"I know what your mother did wasn't fair, but she did it with the best intentions,"
She couldn't have still told her.
"Maybe she wanted your final moments nice not riddled in guilt because you weren't allowed to help,"
Maybe. She wrapped her arms around Caspian. Thank you. You always know what to say. Caspian hugged her back. We must have stood what they felt like for hours. We finally headed back to the pack house. Dad and Hazel were sitting outside waiting for her.
"Are you alright?" dad asked.
Yes, she's just taking it all in. She understands why mum did that, but she was 17 years old, and she was old enough to know.
"Yes, you were we should have told you." Dad said
What's the plan now for Cole?
"You don't need to worry about that," dad said
Don't do that, dont leave her out again. He killed her mother and was going to hurt you and her. We need to plan together.
"We will," Caspian said. Rubbing her shoulders.
Thank you. Why dont we talk this all through tomorrow. Dad, you can go speak with the king. Get an update on the rouges. Dad nodded. Aunt Hazel, could you find out everything you can about this Cole person.
"I have a witch friend in the bear kingdom.I will call her," She said
Thank you. She turned to the unit. Can you all make sure the pack is safe. All of the cameras, motion detectors, and tunnel are all in working order, and that patrol is good. We don't want anyone slipping through because a guard is overworked. Trey, Ziggy, and Harry all nodded.
"Yes, luna," and left. She turned to see Caspian smiling with his arms folded. What?
"You read all our protocol i see,"
Yes, you asked her too. She's a quick study that remembers things well. Now everyone is gone. Can we talk about the luna ceremony? Caspian smiled.
"Yes. I would love to,"
Please don't be upset, but she thinks we should wait till all this is over with. She would like to enjoy it and not worry it's going to be ruined by a vengeful polar bear. Caspian frowned.
"Dont let that put you off,"
It's not permanently just for now. She doesn't want to worry about being taken or for you either.
"He will die a very slow, painful death if tried to take you from me," Caspian said, growling.
She smiled and wrapped her arms around him. You know you're hot when you're protective. He laughed.
"What you after? " he smiled.
You. "Can I have him," Aspen said in her mind.
She smiled. Aspen would like to know if Rowley wants to come out and play. Winter pushed Caspian backwards and ran away. She was stripping her clothes off as she ran. Well, Aspen?. Winter was pushed to the back of her mind with Skye.
She rubbed her cheek against Skye it was a weird thing to be able to do, but it was nice to see her own beast. Hello my girl. Skye smiled.
Aspen fully shifted she was a completely white wolf with silver eyes a little more grey than silver like Skye. She heard him come running behind. Aspen stopped to face Rowley.
Rowley was an all black wolf he was so shiny. Rowley walked towards her, all slow and calm. He rubbed himself all along her wolves body. She expected him to just jump on Aspen, but he didn't. He licked her face. Then sat down.
"Is that it?" Aspen asked.
"What do you want from me. Chase or play," Rowley asked.
"Isn't it the same thing?" Aspen laughed.
"Well, I can either hunt you or hump you. It's your choice," Rowley suggested.
"How about both," Aspen laughed and ran straight through the woods. Aspen could sense him coming, and her and Skye were laughing. Aspen, he's an alpha male he's going to catch you. Plus, this is his land he knows it better than us.
"Yes, but i have a royal bear on my side," Aspen said
"No, you don't. I didn't agree to help you," Skye said.
"WHAT?" Aspen said.
But before we could answer. Rowley pined Aspen down. Winter could hear Caspian laughing. "Caught ya,"
"Unfair," Aspen said
"Completely fair, my land," Rowley said.
Rowley started to rub himself against her and pur loudly. Winter and Skye turned away in her mind and gave them their privacy. It must have been hours later. It was very dark. She felt herself be carried. What's happening?
"Sleep, my luna. Our wolves have been mating for hours. It 2am. Sleep."
She did just that. The next morning, she woke up in Caspian bed and a note by her head. "I've gone training. I'll be back soon. Go back to sleep if I'm not back,"
Fair enough. Winter laid back down and soon drifted back off. She didn't know how long she'd been asleep, but she could feel someone touching her, which then turned sensual. A mourn escaped her sleepy state. Caspian?
"Morning, my love," Caspian said.
Then, she felt his lips on her thighs. Then he pushed his tongue inside of her. She felt your body buck up. Caspian. It wasn't long till she o******ed. She opened her eyes to a smiling Caspian she mourned his name. You're naughty, you know that right. She said, laughing.
"I've just had a workout and was ready for my breakfast." he said, winking at her.
Well, how can she say no to that.
