Ch 6 Caspian

He was in the shower. He'd been for a workout trying to decide how to move forward with Winter. He couldn't just be full on with her it would come across as fake, especially after he didn't do what an alpha would normally do.

He was about to get out of the shower when Ziggy mindlinked him. "What are you doing?" Just getting out of the shower, why? "Winter wanted to speak to you. I found her at your office. Answer the door in just a towel. " he suggested.

What? No. "Trust me, answer the door in just a towel." This was ridiculous. Fine, he will and cut the link. He heard her knock, and he opened the door. Her eyes went wide, and she was openly looking at him.

"She likes what she sees," Rowley said

She does. "Run your hand through your hair." What? "DO IT." Rowley demanded, and she watched him fleck his muscles. Caspian couldn't help smile. What can he do for you, Winter? She stumbled out her words. He'll go get dressed.

"She finds us attractive." Rowley said.

What do you think? are you open to it? "Maybe it hurt bad last time." He knows, buddy, but he doesn't think she's like that. Winter rejected someone who wasn't her mate straight away for the right reasons.

Caspian headed out to speak to her. He always says the wrong thing. He doesn't have a romantic bone in his body. Kirsty always asked him to do more. He didn't have it in him. "Find it for her," Rowley said. How? He's never seen a real loving bond. Even his brother isn't loving. His parents definitely not. His grandparents were.

She told him about a moment with her own parents. He had no clue what to say or do. He needed to be better. He just completely froze in his words. He'd asked her what type of bond she wanted, and it wasn't something he thinks he's capable of. She left.

He mindlinked to Ziggy to tell him what she said. "What did she ask?" Caspian explained what she said. Ziggy laughed. What? "That's a typical mate bond. Caspian, a faithful one something you haven't witnessed. Go talk to her, explain your past," Ziggy suggested.

What if she doesn't understand? "What you got to lose." His dignity, embarrassment. "That girl stood in front of 2 alpha's and one alpha unit and explained how she was marked during s*x and didn't flinch on her words. You can do this?" Ziggy said.

Ziggy cut the link, and he grabbed his jacket and headed for her aunts. He heard someone talking about him. Winter was talking to his own mother about him. He watched them for a few minutes and heard a few things.Yes, he'd said all the wrong things again.

He approached them. Bonding, are we?. Both turned to look at him. Mother stood up. "Yes, we are. I like her. Don't screw it up," Mother said. She gave Winter a hug and left. Does everyone like you instantly?.

"Yes, I'm a like able person," she said. Unlike him, you mean?

"I didn't mean it like that." She quickly said. No, you're right he's not always likeable. "I'm sorry for my words upstairs. Can I explain. Can you walk with me?" She nodded.

They'd been walking for a few minutes. "It's really is pretty here." she said. Thank you. He better get on with it. He wants to explain his first mate to you. "Okay, I'm listening," He met his goddess gifted mate when he was 19 years old. She already had a chosen mate. She was a few years older than him, 20 years.

She rejected her chosen on the spot a man she had 3 children with from ages 3 to 13. Caspian was young and stupid and accepted all this because she was his goddess gifted. We marked and mated. She only wanted him because he was going to be Alpha and her a Luna.

About 2 years in, he was out training, and he felt the pains of betrayal she was having s*x with someone else but not just anyone...... he paused. It was his own FATHER. Winters hand went to her mouth.

"Please tell me you're joking?" she asked.

Caspian wishes he was. In a rage, he killed his own father. He took his head clesn off. She fled the only reason he's never killed her is because she's a mother and her kids don't deserve to feel that pain of losing her.

"Your mother?"

Father had been cheating on her their whole mate bond. He never saw them affectionate he just assumed their kept it behind closed doors. Gilly is his half-brother. When he was 18, he was away at council training, and when he returned, Mother had a baby in her arms. When the father died, his mother admitted that Gilly was the result of the fathers affairs, and Gilly mother died in childbirth. As Gilly is Alpha blooded, he was to stay with them.

Mother bled him to her and raised him as her own. So when you spoke of your parents, he didn't know what to say. He has nothing to compare it to.

"It's fine. She understands now. I'm so sorry that you had to go through that. How's your mother now?"

Okay, she's in better health, he never realised how thin and unhealthy she looked. She enjoys the luna role, so he's just lets her do it. It helps him. It doesn't excuse his behaviour, but he hopes that explains how he is a bit more.

She paused. "Kirsty?"

He was never in a relationship with her. It was just once a month when the moon was up, and he had that erge to mate.

"Never in another pack?"

No, he didn't want to be anything like his father. Only one s*x partner and no future mates.

"So why are you telling me all this now?"

He doesn't want you to leave. He wants you to stay and let us try to bond. A proper alpha and Luna bond. "It explains your mother coldness she must have thought the worse seeing my neck."

She did, but he explained to her what had happened. It's almost gone, by the way. "Yes, I've had my girls working on overtime to clear it." she said.

Can they do that? "Double the shifter, so double the healing power," she giggled. How does that work in your mind. "They kind of just share they can put a wall up if they want peace, but most of the time together looking after me and each other,"

And him by the luck of it. "Well, that was Skye she saw you about to die, and she took over." Skye, that's your bear? "Yes, and Aspen is my wolf. Father wolf mother polar bear, both white," she explained. That's very unique. He's met a few hybrid in his time, but never a double hybrid shifter. He knows a wolf, tiger hybrid. She looks like a wolf but has a fluffy coat like a lion and the colouring of a lion, but he face and size are all wolf.

"That's interesting, but yes, Father likes me to stay in the pack. Never visit him. He's worried I would get taken or, worse, killed. We don't advertise Skye. " Does she never get to be free? "Whenever I get a chance, I do, especially in winter season. We'd go deep into the alaskan ice she can be free. " she said.

No other bears for her?

"Mother left her family the Northern bears when she met my father. By chance, he was at a council meeting she was on a walkabout sort off, fell out with her parents, and came across each other. Her parents asked her to reject him, and she refused and left for good. Never spoke to them again as for as she knows. She was in contact with her younger brother, who is now king, but i haven't seen him in years, "

Your mother? "She was biten by an infected rouge, and the wound wouldn't heal. She died just over a year ago. A week before, she turned 17."

He's sorry, Winter. "I had her for 17 years, and she got to see my shifters. Play with Skye. That's the main thing.I miss her. She always knew what to say and do,"

You're so strong. "Had to be for Father. I think that's why he works so much. It's hard for him to go home where we lived together and died. "

Your father is not going to like him, is he?. "He will. I'll explain to him that we are good." We are?

"I'm Alpha Caspian of Golden Oak forest pack, and I am your mate. " He shaked her hand. He pulled her toward him. He is very much looking forward to getting to know you. Her cheeks were bright red, and she looked down all shy. He liked it.

"Can you initiate me tomorrow? I'm tired. "

Yes, he'll walk you home. He walked her all the way to her door. Roman opened the door. "Alpha." Good evening, Roman.

"Winter, are you okay?" he asked.

"We are good. Uncle, we've had a nice chat. We understand each other a bit better. " she said. He agrees. He'll see you tomorrow. Winter, goodnight.

"Yes goodnight". She said.

He headed back home. He felt so much better now. "What are you smiling about?" Kirsty asked. Nothing that matters to you. Are you following him, Kirsty? Do we need to have words again.

"No, I was just out watching the full moon."

He moved right towards her face. You stay away from Winter, or you'll be dealing with him. "Protective already, " Yes, and he pushed his aura, and she barred her neck to him. He walked away before he killed her he didn't like her tone or thar she was near Winters home. He will be keeping an eye on her.
