Ch 5 Winter

Driving through the pack, it was beautiful. The trees were so beautiful green, gold, reds, brown colours everywhere it was beautiful. The pack house was a grand large brown stone building with a smaller version all round.

She could see a woman with short brown hair and a man that's looked like a version of Caspian waiting and her aunt and uncle waiting. She couldn't wait to hug them. She knew Caspian needed to introduce her to them pack protocols and all.

Caspian introduced her, and she could tell that his mother wasn't happy she could see her mark on her neck. The clothes she had covered it but were destroyed in the shift.

This blonde woman runs out hugging Caspian. Aspen growled. She wasn't happy about it. He has a girlfriend he left that out. The grief he gave her about Tanner. She didn't want to round these lots anymore.

Aunt, Uncle, can we go to your home and settle in, please? "Of course." We climbed in her dad's truck and headed off to the house. It was a beautiful drive. They lived about 30 minutes' drive from the pack house. On a small street of the house.

"It's where most of the old fart like us live," Uncle said.

She laughed. Stop it, you're not old. "Well, it were most couples go when all the children have left. Aggie, Juno, has moved on to other packs, and August works in the kitchen training to be a chef. He lives in the single apartments in town, but we have dinner together 2 times a week. You'll see him later, but we are more than happy to have you with us," Aunt Connie said.

It took a couple of hours, but eventually, everything was put away. She showered and changed and headed downstairs to look around the house. It was a nice house. She headed out back of the house to see the neighbours all cooking she introduced herself.

She was chatting to her aunt when August arrived. "Cousin. I can't believe you're here. It's only took mom a year to convince you. " That wasn't the reason. She told him the tale. He looked angry.

It's okay she can do that herself. When she left, his own father put him in a cell for punishment. "Good, so you and our alpha?" Yes, she guess so."What's up not happy about?" Not unhappy, he seems....... "Stiff?" She laughed. That's a nice way of putting it.

She just feels he's not really interested. He's just kind of going along with it because we are goddess gifted mates. She always wanted a good bond with her mate, but she doesn't feel like she's going to get that with Alpha Caspian.

She turns to see Ziggy. "Hello Winter, what can I do from you?" Do you know where Alpha Caspian is? "In his suite, I think. Come, I'll walk you up there. " She followed him to the lift. It was one of those glass lifts. You could see the whole pack house while going up.

We reached the 5th floor. Ziggy walked her to the door. He walked away. Are you not staying? "You don't need me. See you later. " She took a deep breath and knocked. He answered the door in just a towel, still wet all his muscles and tattoos on the show. s**t he was hot. Aspen was purring in her mind.

She was glad he couldn't hear it. Erm, she stuttered. Can we talk a moment. "Of course, come in. I'll just go get dressed. " Oh, thank the goddess she now knew she could never talk to him shirtless again.

He returned. "Sorry about that. I went for a workout. " Do you like to work out, then she realised looking at him, of course he does. He smiled. "Yes, I didn't get a workout this morning travelling to your home pack. It's not just for fitness. I like it clears my mind when I'm stressed or worried."

Same she likes to go for a swim or a run. Her shifters like the cold. "We have a wonderful lake here you'd like it." Thank you. She'll have to try it.

"What did you want to speak with me about?" He ran a hand through his hair. Oh, he was hot. Aspen and Skye were laughing. F**ing mate bond. Both continued to laugh.

He must have noticed he was smiling. Her father knows about us. He's coming to see you, he is not happy. "Oh, I see he's not happy as an alpha. I didn't mark you straight away." She did say it was under weird circumstances.

"That probably wouldn't have made a difference." What do you mean? "I didn't want a second mate, Winter. It's nothing personal to you. I probably still would have hesitated. " Oh well, that's that then. She'll leave you be. She walked away.

Clearly, this isn't the bond he invisioned for himself. We will pretend that we are getting to know each other and be friendly and them as soon as her father leaves, we can reject each other and she'll move on.

Her mother once had a really bad day at work, and she wasn't in the mood for anything. Her favourite hobby was reading. Father set out our loung up with snacks, got the fire going, and got her a new book. Father didn't take her out for the evening. Both stayed in. It cost her father €10 for the book, and the rest was just his time and effort.

She oringally went to tell him that her father was coming and he's not very happy a alpha didn't mark her. She's explained what happened to her ex. Did Caspian tell you? Hara nodded. Then Caspian decided to inform her that he probably still wouldn't have marked her anyway.

Hara exhaled. "My son doesn't do well with feeling. His first mate wasn't a good person. He suffered a lot. It closed his heart off since then. That is what he will have meant. He did tell me he's glad your marking happened?" Hara said.

Why? "He said it made him stop and think about what a new mate bond could mean for him."

Oh good, she guess. She doesn't expect him to be all lovey dovey with her she's not really a pda person herself that's private but he's giving her nothing.
