Ch 9 Winter

Driving through this pack was beautiful. He really was making an effort. Eden had insisted on her wearing a dress. We had a long chat. Eden is going to try and not take it all personally that it's done with love and care for her.

Getting her dressed took Eden mind of things and made her concenstrate on something else. She promised to try at this meal and not take it out on Trey she'll tell her about it later when she gets back.

The setup was so romantic that he's made an effort that it was private but open she really liked it. A kiss again soon turned hot. She couldn't help pull him shirt off he was hot as hell, all those muscles and tattoos.

She removed her dress to go further but soon turned sour he told her to stop and get dressed. She was so embarrassed. She couldn't do it anymore she was trying, and it just felt like he wasn't interested in her, playing mind games.

She asked twice to go home, and he complied. It was a very quiet drive back to the pack. He pulled up at the pack house, as she asked him to. She got out and walked away she couldn't smell him any longer. It was killing her. She could feel him following her.

She turned to him. Why are you following her. "I want to make sure you're home, okay" Why? you are clearly not interested. We will get her father visit out of the way, then part ways. Then she saw her Kirsty walking past.

"Lovers tiff already," she said.

"Kirsty, go now nothing to do with you," he growled at her she quickly walked away.

She was looking at Kirsty, someone he dated for years. We looked nothing alike. She gets it now.

"You get what?" he asked.

She's what you like. Who you are attracted to. We look completely different, especially body.

"Winter, this is not about Kirsty." He stated.

At this point, Caspian, she doesn't want to hear it. Please give her space. She walked away into the house and showered and changed into bed.

Her aunt linked her to find out how it went she told she'd tell her about it tomorrow she just needed to shut off . Connie didn't respond. The next morning, she woke up to 10 messages from Eden she hadn't been intitated into the pack yet, so she was blowing up her phone.

She ignored it and got changed into her workout clothes and ran out of the house. She decided to go a different way. She didn't want to run into Caspian and saw outdoor workout equipment she used it. They were a pull-up bar that you got going up higher and higher to where she was atleast 8ft high of the ground. This is probably an exercise you dont do alone. She thought to herself.

"Just drop you'll be fine," Aspen said. What? "We'll protect you," Skye said. She let go to find herself being catched by Caspian.

"What hell are you doing?" he asked, angry.

Can you put her down, please? The bond tingles, his hands on her bare skin were torture, not joyful. He did she just jogged away. He was shouting her she just ignored him. She heard him in her head to stop she did it was an alpha order. He couldn't really control her. She had royal blood in her, but him trying to was going to give her a headache. What does she think? "That I don't want you because I do. I didn't expect it to go that way. The place I took you I slept with my first mate they I didn't want that to be ours," he explained.

Okay, thank you for telling her. Goodbye. "Winter?" No, Alpha Caspian, she understands why now, but that doesn't erase last night events.

She might be younger than you and have not seen the world like you have or had the same traumas you have, but she is very emotionally grown. She is aware of people's feelings and how to be around others. She knows who she is and what she wants. Can you say the same?.

She turned to see her uncle, Aunt, Eden, and Trey waiting for her. We'll that's just great they heard anything. What did you hear?

"Everything," Eden said.

Right inside now, please. We all headed inside the house before one of you or all of them started yelling. She's fine, move it.

"He rejected you last night?" Uncle asked.

No, we were about to mate. He asked her to stop and put her clothes back, and he didn't want to do it where we were. She asked him to take her home, and that's that.

"The date wasn't going well?" Aunt Connie asked.

Yes, it was. She is as much to blame as him. She's known about his past, and she's been pushing letting the attraction and mate bond influence her. That stops now.

"That's natural." Connie said.

Yes, but he isn't natural he's done all this before, and this went to s**t. She now realised she wasn't going to get a normal mate bond start like most of her age. He's done that. He isn't interested in doing it again.

It's okay. Nothing is perfect. Please go for breakfast she'll join you soon. She watched Eden leave. She sorted herself out and headed for the dining hall. They were all sat waiting. Sorry, she's late she needed a run this morning.

How are you both, Margaret? Jim? How was the meal last night. "We are okay it seems a nice pack, and dinner was lovely. Trey parents are great, very understanding. They actually told their son to back off and take it slow. Which we really did appreciate, " Margaret said.

What's holding you back? "I suppose we don't want to lose our child," Jim said. She looked at Eden.

"Mom, dad, is this what this is about me leaving?" Both nodded.

"You're not losing me. I'll visit all the time, and I'm sure you can come here anytime. Alpha Caspian, would that be alright. " She asked him.

"Of course you don't even need to ask. Margaret, Jim, you are welcome here anytime, " He said.

"Thank you. We appreciate that. You have our blessing, Eden Trey, to mark. We won't hold you back anymone, but any harm comes to our girl. You will be dealing with Curtis, " Jim said.

Oh, don't worry, she can handle Trey, and she knows it won't come to that anyway.

"It won't. I promise she will be treated like a princess, " Trey said.

Eden was beaming. Trey and Eden got up to leave, and her parents' eyes went wide. Both clearly were going to do it now.

Winter laughed both of you go now before your parents' head explodes. Both ran off.

"So, you're marking Winter?" Margaret asked. What about it?

"You are clearly luna material. Do you not want to?" Margaret asked.

She kind of didn't know what to say. Caspian spoke. "The delay is my doing. I had a very bad first mate bond and never actually expected to get a second. I'm taking it slow. I don't want to make the same mistakes, and I would like to get her father's approval. I know it's just the two of them now," he said.

"Are you happy with this?" Connie asked.

Yes, taking it slow is the best way. She ate breakfast, and Caspian asked her to come to his office. She stepped in and sat down he sat across from her.

"Winter, please look at me." He asked.

She did. She knew her eyes showed sadness to him, not joy like they have been the last couple of days. "I'm sorry." What for? you were honest, eventually Caspian she can't ask for anymore.

"You're upset and disappointed in me. I don't like it, " he said.

That's the mate bond for you it's making you want what the goddess wants for you, not yourself.

"You said you wanted a relationship like your parents. I do want to give you that, but I just don't know how to do that. I haven't had the greatest past or example of a loving, loyal relationship. Can you let me try," he asked.

She stared at him. She wants to Caspian, but yesterday you really hurt her feelings last night she put herself out they, and you rejected her. She needs a minute to get over it.

"Okay, I can do that. Please don't pull away. I do want this with you. I might just need your help in doing it. "

She gets that, but not right now. She can't. She has college stuff to go through. She is going to take a step back and concentrate on that. Caspian looked sad but didn't argue with her.

She got up and headed toward home and sat at her desk. She pulled out her laptop and her phone started ringing it was dad. Hi dad, how's it going

"Hello, my snowflake. It's good. I should be able to come see you in a few days. I'm taking some time off. How are you?"

She is okay taking things slow, getting to know each other. She is currently trying to decide on her education. What to do.

"Well, I'm sure you will figure it out. Your mother was always the educational help. "

She knows. Well, she'll see you soon.

"Winter, are you okay?" Yes, just adjusting. It's all new. "Okay, well, you can tell me about it when I get there." Okay, she hung up great.

She mindlinked Caspian. Hi, her father had just called her he will arrive in a few days and stay a while. "How long?" She doesn't know he didn't say.

"Okay, thank you for telling me I'll get a room ready for him." No need. She thinks he'll most likely stay here with her at her aunts his own sister.

"Yes, of course. If you need anything, please let me know. " She will thank you. He was about to ask her something, and she said bye and cut the link.

She spent the next 4 days going through different universities online and in person study. She spoke to her home pack, luna. Teri told her. It would be better for her to do online learning safer to stay in the pack.

She headed to Caspian office. Alpha Kane told her she'd need to get the alpha permission due to her not being the official luna yet. She knocked.

"Come in." Hi Alpha Caspian, can we talk. "Yes," he stood up, a smile on his face.
