Willow. The morning light was soft and yellow when I opened my eyes or rather when I let them stay open after pretending to be asleep for what felt like hours. My body ached in the strangest and quietest ways and not pain. More like aftershocks. A kind of heavy fullness like the kind you feel after swimming deep under cold water and coming back up gasping.
