Damon. Toma hovered over Willow, her brow furrowed as she murmured encouragement while carefully cleaning the wound that had stopped bleeding but still looked angry around the edges and pale beneath the surface and I stood behind her, my arms folded tight and my jaw clenched. All the while trying to ignore the weight of Willow’s gaze when Toma had casually called me her husband earlier and I hadn’t corrected her because I wasn’t in any mood to untangle another lie before breakfast and I don’t want them to throw us out. I caught Willow glancing at me and bit back the guilt and confusion that always came from seeing her stare like that was part anger, part betrayal amd part embarrassment and instead shifted my eyes to Toma’s hands as she prepared the syringe. Her fingers were steady
