Khall helped Elijah into his harness. “You’re sure you want to do this?”
Elijah nodded. “I’m really excited. We’ve been practicing everything, and Emerald is a great instructor. I’ve eaten and I feel really good right now.”
“Don’t instructors normally take days before they just let you have at it?” Mason asked.
“Yes, that’s why we are on a small slope instead of that mountain on the island.” Zircon said.
“Is everyone ready?” Emerald asked.
Spencer strapped on his helmet, muttering, “At least planes offer flight insurance.”
“Okay, it’s time. Let’s get this show on the road.” Bryant said, with excitement. “It’s been years since I’ve done this.”
“You’ve been hang-gliding before?” Elijah asked, then snorted, “Why did I even ask. I bet Mason has too, hasn’t he?”
