"Hello there champ, I guess you are the one Teddy was telling me about on my way up here," Albert said as he welcomed me into the tiny, dimly lit cubicle. I had no idea who Teddy was or what he may have told him but I didn't care. The only thing that mattered at that moment was the fact that I was getting really tired and I could feel the illusion fading away which meant I needed to be quick. "Well, I still think you are too young to be involved in my business but if it is true that you are the guy driving that yellow sports car he showed me, you might be the perfect guy for my next gig," he added and showed me to the sofa. Now, I had seen fancy things, I may have even gotten close enough to some of them, but in all my life, never had I ever seen anything like what I was about to see. The tiny room was pretty much normal with a white leather sofa and a tiny glass table. The two pretty much filled all the space except for what seemed like a door. I was curious about it and Albert saw that and decided to explain. "Yes, it is a door to my actual room but only the people I trust the most get in there. I could let you in, but you have to make a very serious promise first," he said. I made the promise to do the big he was about to present to me without failure and just like that, I had bought my tickets to the room where all the magic happened. I watched closely as he punched the code to the door and believe it or not, I mastered all the eight digits.
I thought I had seen all the finner things on earth but boy was I in for a surprise. Albert's VVIP room was something else. It was a large office with white leather sofas with a lining of gold. The table at the center was purely made of gold and so was all the decor placed on it. The downlights at the tiny table on the corner which he mentioned was his drinking table were decorated with these diamond beads that sparkled in all colors. The carpet on the floor was all fluffy and white as wool. Seating on the sofa felt like seating on a cloud. I could tell that the goldfish inside the huge sparkly aquarium felt special. "You are impressed, that's a good sign. Did I outdo you or are you wondering just how cheap I am?" he asked. For a moment there I had forgotten that I was supposed to be this rich, classy d**g boss and I had lost myself in the world of estimating the worth of that room. "What do you think of the state-of-the-art private wing?" he asked yet again and pointed at the bar which I had not noticed earlier. The shelves of the bar were made of mirrors which were then decorated with diamonds. Every bottle on them was what you could term as top shelf and the cheapest of them all was equal to my whole semester's school fees plus all my allowances tripled. I could now clearly see why it was impossible to bring this guy down. Just when I thought I had seen it all, he opened yet another door and there was again a state-of-the-art bed. "This is where I strip off both their clothes and respect," he said with a smile and I could tell that he was actually proud of himself.
"Wow, I have my fair share of fancy, but I have never thought of going this high," I said as I had nothing better to say. "Well, if you do this right, I might decide to get you your very own private office just like this one. And who knows, we could even be best friends, or you could be that son I never had," the words that came from his mouth were sweet as honey and there was no way anyone would ever doubt that he was the sweetest most gentle guy ever. I know I would have believed him were it not for the fact that I could hear what he was thinking. I knew that he didn't like me nor trusted me a tiny bit. He only pretended to because he wanted someone to do something really big for him and he had thought that that person would be me. I couldn't wait to hear what his evil plan was and I was convinced it had something to do with his latest shipment that had just arrived at the port. It was the only thing he was thinking about that he really cared for. "So, now that I have seen all your fancy office, what do you say we get down to the day's business," I was running low on strength and by then I had taken one too many sips of alcohol. I was running low on time and thin on patience. He showed to the sofa once more and sat down ready to get to business. I looked at my "smartwatch" one last time to make sure that the record button was on. I didn't want to miss a thing.
"Listen, I can tell that what I am about to tell you is not your job type but I would like you to hear me out first before you decide to turn down my offer. I am willing to pay you up to two million if you get this job done and on top of that, I will make you my partner..." he started and I felt a very evil vibe coming from within him. I could tell he was about to ask me to do something heinous, and I would have stopped him from finishing, but I needed real proof that he was a bad guy. I edged closer to him and pretended to be attentive even though all I wanted was to make sure that the recorder could get his voice all nice and clear. "That sounds like a really great deal... keep going," I said and made sure to look like I was all into his deal. "That's, good to hear. You see, I have these like really valuable goods at the port right now and I need to get them into the country safely and quietly. Normally, that would not be an issue but now it is because of a little stupid girl called Lily. She is my niece and don't get me wrong, she is the most well-behaved and mannered girl I know and that should be every parent's pride. However, to me, she is a problem. She has got the media tracking my every move all in the name of justice for her sister. She knows all too well that she can't win against me but she is determined to die trying. I need you to make sure that she dies trying, that way, it will be a win-win for everyone. You get the money, I get the freedom to do my business without the fear of cameras and she gets to meet her sister. What do you think?"
It was hard to keep that "Interested" look on my face with all the words that came from his mouth but I tried. I couldn't let him get a hint that I was disgusted by him and by every word that came from his mouth. After he was done talking, I reached for the glass and took all the remaining content with one huge gulp. I was about to do something huge and I didn't want to be completely sober for it as it would be my first time to officially have done a perfectly organized crime. "Okey Albert..." I started after turning off the recording. "That sounds like a really good offer but you know what, I have a better suggestion," I said and listened to him go on and on about how he was willing to be a little bit more flexible. He also made sure to tell me that he had not much of a requirement and all he needed was for me to kill her and make it look like an accident of some sort so no one would ever suspect anything. By the time he was done talking, I was completely done with listening to him. All I wanted to do was hurt him so bad that it would go down in the history. However, I was planning to make it professional and I couldn't therefore just pounce on him and stab him repeatedly like I had done the previous year. This time around, I was going to be swift, and neat and I planned on making some art pauses while I was at it.
"While it is good to know that you don't care how she dies, I think it would be even better for you to explain the real plans you have for me after it's all done. We both know you are not planning to give me the money, we both know you don't work well with partners as you only have one of those and he happens to be a lawyer and you have video records, documented and sealed records, not to mention the blackmail letters that could get him jailed for life or worse killed as a guarantee that he will never tell on you. We also know that after I get out of here, you will be talking to one of those so-called, bouncers on the entrance and offer him a job to follow me around and kill me as soon as I kill that Lily girl." His face changed color in an instant as I was telling him exactly what he was thinking at that very moment and he had not told anyone about it yet. "How? How did you get to that? You should ask around about me and I am pretty sure you will find that I am a very trustworthy guy. I keep my promises, I swear," he said. I could tell he was trembling a little. He was also thinking of the easiest way to get behind the counter where he kept his g*n and where the alarm was. "You know, those are, say...five meters, and you are a short, really fat guy with short strides and a very huge stomach to weigh you down not to mention you are a little bit tipsy. How do you expect to get there before I cut your throat open?" I asked and by then he realized that I could really tell what he was thinking.
"Please, we can talk about this. Just tell me how much they are paying you and I will pay you double," he was by then shaking visibly as he knew for sure he had no fighting skills and he had relied on his bodyguards, lawyers, and his g*n to get that far. Now, his bodyguards were say twenty meters outside a soundproof wall, his lawyers were at home sound asleep, and his g*n was not within reach and that meant it was just his fat ugly a*s and a guy who was by then smiling like a psychopath on seeing how helpless he seemed. "Well, nobody paid me, I am only doing this in the name of justice plus the fact that I really need to heal my pain and you are just what the doctor ordered. What kind of a man r***s his own niece, kills her, and even goes ahead to brag about it? You are disgusting, filthy, ugly and I really want to hurt you but we have to play a game first. I will call it "bad uncle confesses to his crimes" it is really simple. all you have to do is say all the bad stuff you have done and say you are sorry and that is why you will make sure they will never happen again," I was by then smiling so broadly that it would be impossible to deny the fact that I was actually enjoying it. I reached into my pocket, took out a piece of paper that I had written earlier, and presented it to him. Deep in his mind, he thought that Lily had sent me to get a confession from him so that she could present it to a court of law. He was convinced that I was going to leave him alone after I had taken the confession so that then he would have his guys follow me and make sure the confession never got to her.
I had seen that coming which was the reason why I had played that card. With him thinking I was going to leave him alive, he would find no problem confessing and that meant I didn't have to t*****e or force one out of him. After all, I needed my mind control ability sharp for the grand finale. He sat back, cleared his throat, and started confessing to the most heinous crimes he had ever committed. I could not help but wonder how such a sweet-spoken, short guy with basically no education background was capable of all that evil. "You know, for someone so tiny, you are honestly too evil," those were the only words I could find. It was finally time for the most beautiful part. The part where I would see him fall from grace to a very hard ground with dried grass. How I wished it was poetic enough to win a place on the front page of a newspaper. I would love to see how the news people would come up with a creative headline for that. I smiled.
"Now now, here is the best part, I need you to get up, walk to that window which you just confirmed to have thrown a girl through, open it, and dive head first into the next life," I smiled once again as I took out the disk from the recorder and placed it on the table where someone would find it easily. I had made sure to record from two devices just in case someone decided to hide the copy I was leaving behind. I planned on making sure that the world knew who Albert Stanley was so that they would understand "his" actions better. "Are you kidding me? you know I can't do that, I am also pretty sure that whoever sent you didn't want me dead because what she wants is justice and she won't get it if I am dead," Albert hoped that his words would get through to me but he had no idea that the only thing I wanted was to see every single part of his body broken. I walked close to him, looked him in the eye, asked him to wait for ten minutes and jump out of the window, and left the office. Ten minutes later, he was flying down the window and I was already down there waiting for him. The moment he landed, I took a photo and left, making sure no one had seen me. For the first in a really long time, I was at peace and it felt like I would actually have a good night's sleep. All I had to do was wait for the news.
