He didn’t know why he was here.
Libs stared at the door to Jane’s meeting room, but made no move to enter. He had failed in his quest to find out the information she needed, and no doubt he’d find himself on the receiving end of her rage. He was more durable than her other henchmen, but that didn’t mean he wanted her to mutilate him for her entertainment either. His loathing for her was eclipsed only by his fear of the government and what they would do to him if he were captured. This fear was ebbing the longer that the face of that government was Rory’s.
