Thomas heard Austin and me together last night. I thought we were quiet.
“We weren’t,” Nyx piped up with a giggle. “You were f*****g him hard.”
Trying not to overthink her words, I kept my eyes on Thomas. I watched as his lips curled up into a grin.
“I knew it,” he said, which made me scrunch my eyebrows together and stared at him, slightly confused, while he continued. “I heard voices last night. I opened the door slightly and saw Austin and you. I couldn’t hear everything, but there was one word I heard and that was mate.”
