"This weekend was awesome!" I yelled as we got out of the car.
"I know. I can't believe it was permanent hair dye! You should have seen her face when she realized it!" Mia laughed, barely able to stand up straight.
"And when she turned her fan on because she was hot! She should have looked up and she wouldn't have looked like a rainbow," Thomas laughed.
"I think we showed her that we're not fun to mess with," Xander laughed. We all agreed as we unpacked our stuff.
"Hey, I'm gonna go lay Trina down for a nap," Mia said, leaving us three alone in mine and Xander's apartment.
"We have to show Tessa and Aiden and Ali and Anna the pranks!" I screamed excitedly, running out of the room to find them.
Taylor! Xander! Thomas! Aiden! Come to the eastern border, we heard Ali through the mind link. I didn't wait for the boys and shifted. I ran at lightning speed to the locations Ali gave me and within minutes I was standing in front of Ali leaning over a body.
"Ali, who is it?" I whispered. I went to kneel next to her, and started to cry myself.
Anna was covered in blood, a wide cut stretching across her neck. "Ali, I'm so sorry," I whispered, hugging the girl who I could consider my best friend.
The three boys arrived seconds after that. "Ali?" Aiden whispered. He went to kneel down next to her, but froze when he saw his other sister's body.
"Oh my god! Anna! ANNA!" He roared, dropping to the forest floor and shaking her. It was no use. She was already dead and by the looks of it she had been dead for at least a couple of hours.
I watched the two siblings as they mourned over their older sister. I barely knew her but I couldn't help but feel sad while looking at the two siblings. "Who do you think killed her?" I whispered to Xander as he held me. I may not have known her that well, but with her sweet, shy personality, there is no way she deserved to die like this.
"I don't know. It could have just been a rogue attack," he suggested in a whisper. "Just look around quietly."
We slowly looked around, and I found a note pinned to the other side of the tree closest to Anna's body.
That's for stealing my mate. You took some of my pack members, now I'll take some of yours. Watch your backs.
Alpha Quinton
"Ali," I asked cautiously.
"Yes," she answered in barely more than a whisper.
"Did Anna have a mate?"
"Yes. It was the alpha of our old pack. He never rejected her but he didn't want her. Every time she tried to reject him he would beat her. The day we left to visit your pack, she rejected him quietly before we left, and he didn't realize it until after we were gone," she explained quietly, never taking her eyes off her sister.
"Here," I said, handing the note to the siblings. They read it and Aiden's face morphed into anger. He took a couple deep breaths, and I recognized his entire body posture that he was trying to keep his wolf at bay.
"Quinton won't stop until he gets revenge," Aiden told Xander, turning to look at him with a cold, hard stare in his eyes.
"Then we better start preparing," Xander said. He turned to me. "I need you to train everyone for the fight," he said. I nodded my head, ready to kick people's asses already.
"Ali, Aiden, we're going to go back. Come back whenever you're ready," I said quietly, walking back with Thomas and Xander.
We didn't exchange any words as we walked silently back to the pack house. We all knew we had to start preparing as soon as possible, but we had to pay our respects to Anna first. We would all fight for her to make sure she didn't die for nothing.

The next couple of days we were preparing for Anna's funeral. The date was set to this Saturday, November 13.
Ali and Aiden were still sad and being very quiet, but I could see Ali slowly coming back together with the small smiles you would see out of her every once in a while. Aiden spent a lot of alone time with Tessa but I could tell he was getting better.
The day of the funeral, I got up before Xander and took a quick shower. I put on the black dress I was wearing for the funeral, along with my black flats. I straightened my hair and out a little braid wrapping around half my head.
I walked over to the bed where Xander was still sleeping peacefully like a baby. I lightly pressed my lips to his and he responded within seconds. I wasn't going to have a heavy make out session with him, so I pulled away causing a groan of annoyance to come out of his mouth.
"You have to wake up. The funeral is today," I whispered in his ear, walking away to get some breakfast.
I heard him shift out of bed and go into the bathroom. The shower turned on a couple seconds later. I quickly made some toast for both of us and set it out at the table, where Xander joined me a minute later.
We ate in silence, lost in our own thoughts.
"How do you think Ali and Aiden are going to handle it today?" Xander asked quietly, breaking the peaceful silence. I looked up at him.
"I really don't know. They lost their older sister, and all they have left now is each other," I stated, speaking my thoughts. Xander nodded and continued to eat, looking up at me everyone in a while with a small smile on his face.
We both finished our breakfast and got ready to go. Xander grabbed my hand and we walked off slowly to the location of the funeral.
The whole service took two hours tops with lots of tears involved. Ali and Aiden were both devastated and it seemed like it was finally hitting them that their older sister was dead.
I let Ali cry on my shoulder, knowing Aiden had Tessa. I felt so bad for them, not entirely understanding how they feel, but knew this is what I would want if I ever lost my sister.
"Ali, why don't you come sleep with me in my room. I'll send Xander to the couch," I said quietly. I looked up at Xander, who I know heard that I was kicking him out. Normally he would put up a fight and just smirk about it, but given the circumstances, he didn't even say anything at all.
"Thanks for being such a great friend," Ali whispered while we started walking back to the pack house.
"You need me right now," I said quietly, giving her a small smile.
