Thomas and Mia walked in, and Trina was sitting on Mias hip, hiding her face in her neck. "We set up a room for you. You can still pick out some furniture though," I smiled.
"Hey Trina, should we go see your new room?" Mia asked her younger sister. Trina looked up, and she was one of the cutest little kids I had ever seen. Her brown eyes looked around at everything before she nodded her head.
I led the sisters up to their new room, and Mia looked around. She brought Trina into her room, and I followed. "Trina, this is your new room," Mia said quietly, setting her down on the empty bed. "I love it. Thanks so much for doing this," Mia said to me.
"No problem. Do you want to come down and find some furniture for the rest of your apartment?” Mia nodded. "Hey Trina," I said, bending down at the little girls level. “Should we go find some toys and some blankets for your new room?" I asked. Trina looked up at me with her hazel eyes and smiled.
"Yes please." Mia looked at me, stunned.
"What's wrong?" I asked.
"She's never spoken to anyone but me and our parents. She wouldn't even talk to Thomas on the way back!" Mia smiled.
"What can I say. I have magical powers," I laughed. "Come on," I said, grabbing Trina's hand and leading the way. We went down to the basement, and I let Trina go find some toys while Mia found some furniture.
Their apartment was fully decorated and furnished by six. I let Mia, Ali, and Anna all borrow one of my dresses for the ceremony, and helped them get ready. I myself put on a light turquoise dress that went down to my knees and had white flowery lace around the waist and bottom of the dress. I straightened my hair and pulled the top layer back.
The ceremony started at seven, where all the pack members were already seated. Xander, Thomas, Mia, Trina, Ali, Aiden, Anna, and I all went up on the stage.
"Thank you all for joining us tonight," Xander started.
"And the crowd fell silent, watching their alpha intently, waiting for him to continue," Thomas said in a narrator's voice, making everyone burst out laughing.
"As you know, I turned eighteen a couple days ago and I met my mate, your luna. Everyone already knows Taylor, and everyone already respects her. I want you to continue to respect her," Xander said.
"And also, our beta met his mate today. She is one of the members joining our pack tonight. I want you all to treat her with respect and like she had been in this pack since she was born, along with everyone else joining our pack tonight."
"We have five new members joining our pack tonight. Mia and Trina Porter, and Ali, Anna, and Aiden Waters," Xander introduced.
He grabbed two knives from the table and called up Aiden. He handed one knife to Aiden and they both sliced their right hand. They joined their palms together and I felt Aiden join our pack. He went and sat down next to Tessa, who kissed his cheek. I silently ahhed at the little moment.
Ali went next. She sliced her hand open and pressed it to Xanders. I felt the connection again.
Hey peeps! She chirped through the mindlink. I laughed at her.
Anna went after her, then Mia. Then it was Trina's turn. She stared widely at the knife, tears coming to her eyes. I went up to her and placed her on my hip. "Shhhhh. I'll get you a new doll after this. I promise," I whispered in her ear. I tucked her head in my shoulder so she was looking away from her hand, and motioned for Mia to come and use the knife. Xander came up to us, ready to press his hand to her little one. I held Trina tightly so she couldn't squirm, and Mia made a small cut on her sister's hand.
Trina began to cry at the pain, and Xander quickly pressed his hand to hers, and Mia was part of the pack.
Hours later, I layed in bed next to Xander. "You did so good with Trina tonight," he whispered. I rolled over to face him.
"Thanks," I smiled, kissing his nose.
"You're going to be so great when we have kids," he smiled.
"You'll make a good father one day," I smiled, pressing my lips to his.
"I love you," I whispered, closing my eyes and tucking my head into his chest.
"I love you too," he whispered, kissing my temple. I fell asleep in the arms of my mate, a soft smile sitting on my face.
The next morning I didn't wake up to a bucket of ice cold water, but yet another evil prank in mind. "Xan," I whispered quietly, shaking him awake. His eyes fluttered open. "I need your help."
"I really do love you," he smiled, kissing me quickly before helping me. We blew up two air mattresses and put them next to the pool. Xander carried Thomas and Aiden down and put them on one mattress, and I was able to carry Tessa and Ali down with no help at all.
Hey, being the pack's best fighter has many perks.
Once the four were on the air mattresses, I set up my video camera and hit play before we slid them into the pool and prepared the waterfall. Right when they were under it, I flipped the switch, and freezing cold water poured down on them. I fell to the floor laughing but quickly got pulled into a soft and furry back. The wind was in my face as I wrapped my arms around my mate.
Minutes later, I prepared myself and jumped into the air, shifting and starting to run in my own wolf form. We heard a thunderous growl from Thomas, and I started to laugh.
"YOU GUYS ARE SO DEAD!" We heard Tessa yell, and I knew they had all shifted and began to run after us. Xander and I started to run faster, and we ran to a large meadow. We quickly shifted and climbed up a tree, hiding ourselves with leaves and branches.
Their four wolves soon emerged into the clearing, and Xander and I both managed to stay perfectly still.
A wolf which I guessed was Ali spotted us. I looked her in the eye, begging her not to tell the others. I silently thanked the light brown wolf as she turned away as she pretended to look for us.
Aiden spotted us a couple minutes later and barked. I started to climb down and a couple feet off the ground, I shifted and bolted. I heard Xander behind me, and the other four were right behind us.
We reached the packhouse, and I cannonballed into the pool. Being in my wolf form, the cold water didn't feel so cold thanks to my fur. Xander followed my lead, and so did the other four.
We splashed around and played in the pool for hours and hours. Mia joined us eventually, with Trina sitting on the edge of the pool in her swimsuit with a life jacket, too scared to touch the water.
