THE SUPREME ONE

There was a Yadu King named Ahuka. He had two sons. Ugrasena and Devaka. Ugrasena had 9 sons.They were Kansa, Sunama, Nyagrodha, Kanka, Sanku, Suhu and Rashtrapala. Kansa was the eldest among them.He was so greedy towards the throne, that he prisoned his father and took over the land of Mathura.He started to harass the people of that kingdom.On the other side, Devaka decided to marry his daughter Devaki to Vasudev who was a Yadava king ruling Vrishnis.When Devaki and Vasudev were returning to the palace after marriage they had to pass through Mathura city(Kansa's place). Kansa was wondering in his place and saw them passing.He stopped them and gave his soldiers an order of killing Devaki(His cousin sister).Because once there was a oracle saying, Devaki's 8th son will be the reason for his death.So he decided to kill Devaki.There, Vasudev tried to protect Devaki and got defeated.He said "Brother, if the oracle becomes a lie, what is the point of killing her and if the oracle is going to be true then how can you stop it? ".Kansa got angry and said " I don't know what will happen, but oracles are the plans of God, how can this gonna be a lie. That's why, if I kill her, there will be no offsprings, which means I am immortal".Vasudev tried to pursue him but he didn't listen. So Vasudev said "If you want, you can imprison us,but please don't kill Devaki".Kansa started to argue and finally agreed and imprisoned them. He used to torture them a lot. A year passed, Devaki was ready to deliver the first offspring. She gave birth to the child in the prison.By listening the crying of the new born baby, he came running.He was staring the child in anger. By seeing his anger, Devaki and Vasudev got what Kansa was thinking.He tried to whip the child from Devaki's hand, she said "Brother, the oracle was about the my 8th son, what is it have do with my first child? ".In return Kansa said "Devaki, a drop of poison is also poison.He is not the reason for my death now, what if he becomes the reason in the future?". Devaki said " No brother, he is your son-in-law ,why does he kill his own uncle?". He said " I don't want to make any mistakes here, so I am not gonna leave this child alive." and grabbed the child forcefully. Then Vasudev said "If you kill this child, we will sacrifice all our children and that 8th son will surely take revenge on you for all my sacrifices". Listening this Kansa got angry and laughed like a devil. Seeing the baby he said "Ahaahahaaha, Are you the reason for my death?". He was trying to murder the child. But Devaki was begging him "Please brother, don't be so cruel. He is your sister's child. That means he is your child. It's your duty to take care of him, but you are trying to kill him. This is not right.Please, give my child back to me".Even though she was on the end of his leg, Kansa didn't pity on her. He said "Who said this is my child? He is not my relative. But he is my death.He may be a new born baby now. But I don't wanna risk my life for your children".By saying this he threw the child away. The child died on the spot crashing to the stone in the prison.By seeing this Devaki fainted. Vasudev started to cry as he was helpless.The first baby of Devaki and Vasudev died as soon as it born.
