Chapter Six

[Khyzrr Khryss Alejandro's Point of View]

I continued singing since she became quiet for a while now. I must be lucky to have a great voice, and I’m happy to sing for her.

“You’re my pretty little ehu girl who made me a fool in love… You got my heart in a whirl and now it needs cooling off… You set my heart on fire and now I don’t know what to do… You set my heart on fire… and now I’m so in love with you, my ehu girl.” I sang with all my heart while strumming my guitar while hearing her heavy breathing on the other line I stopped. I assumed she’s already asleep.

“Sleep now, Ice.” I said as I closed my eyes after looking at my phone, it’s already 11:11 in the evening, so I silently wish, “I wish to see your smile.” I whispered before hanging up and going to sleep.

The next morning, I woke up with a smile plastered on my face while remembering what happened last night. I just sang for her, well, I’m kind of happy because she fell asleep while I’m singing for her. I didn’t even know that she’ll fell asleep even with that kind of music, kind of reggae like that.

I suddenly remembered what Lizzey told me about ‘harana’, I guess it worked, I serenade her last night with a cool music. I smiled before getting out of my bed since I still need to prepare for work today but before that, I texted Keliche first.

[Good Morning, Ice. I’ll be there in a bit.]

I didn’t bother to wait for her reply because she’s not like that. I’m the one who always pester her and I’m the only one who is allowed to do that to her. Being possessive now, yeah? I immediately scratch that thought and went inside the bathroom to do my thing.

After I took a bath, I get dressed wearing my office attire since I always wanted to be presentable as I can be, not to impressed but to make them think that I’m a decent man. After I get dressed, I locked my house and went to my car and started driving towards Keliche’s apartment. It didn’t take long because it’s just a few minutes away from my home.

“Good Morning, Alana.” I greeted her when she opened the door for me, she smiled before letting me enter their apartment.

“Keliche’s still preparing, you should eat breakfast with us.” She told me so I just nodded making her smile. Suddenly, I heard someone singing “ehu girl” which made me grin.

“Oh please, she’s been singing that song for almost an hour now.” Alana said before walking towards the kitchen, “I’ll just prepare our breakfast!” She shouted before finally entering their kitchen.

When I saw Keliche with her casual look, I smiled at her and she looked like she saw a ghost or something. Her jaw literally dropped when she’s looking at me so I walked towards her and snapped my fingers.

“So, you’re singing that right now, huh?” I joked her but she just rolled her eyes before putting her shoes so I carry her towards the single seater sofa making me earn few punches from her.

“What? Acting like a prince charming now, huh? Dream on, you’re far from that.” She told me before I put her shoes on. Well, she has a cute toe since it’s so small compare to my foot size.

“I’m handsome enough to be a prince charming.” I told her, I heard her scoffed.

“You even brought your fan with you, so breezy.” She said sarcastically which made me laugh hard while putting her shoes on.

After I’m done putting her shoes on, we both started walking towards the kitchen where the smell of bacons invaded my nostrils. I guess Alana has a good cooking ability, I’m now wondering if Keliche knew how to cook?

“Do you know how to cook?” I asked her, she just nodded as a reply to my question as she sat on the chair.

“Kels, since I cooked the food. Khyzrr will dine with us, okay?” Alana said to her so she looked at me and rolled her eyes, but I just smiled because I remember that she’s singing the song I sang for her last night before she drifted off to sleep.

We started eating in peace when Alana started to talk about her work, well, she really looked so exhausted but she still smiles despite of that. Maybe she’s tired because of working overtime always, she told us that they lack of staffs and their boss doesn’t want to add staffs.

“He’s evil.” I commented, Alana agreed while nodding but Keliche just continue eating like she’s not belong in the conversation, like she’s not with us.

“She’s not like that, maybe she’s shy because you’re eating with us.” Alana joked while looking at Keliche’s reaction and true to my speculations, she glared at me.

“Stop glaring at me, you look like a wild beast.” I told her while after munching the food, well, Alana cooked bacon and eggs, she also made a fried rice and it has an awesome taste.

“I may not look like I’m listening but trust me, I am. And, I’m too gorgeous to look like a wild beast.” Keliche said before she started walking towards the sink to wash her hands.

“I’ll wash the plates we used, you should prepare for work.” Alana said to Keliche before walking out of the kitchen. Well, Alana’s a good friend to her, I see. Maybe they have been friends for so long.

“Is she always like that after eating?” I asked her, she shrugged before grinning from ear to ear.

“Nah, I just joked her with that, she’ll prepare the food and wash the dishes as well tonight. We always have fair sharing of task here in our apartment.” She answered, so I nodded before standing up and walking towards the sink.

“You really like her?”

After washing my hands, I looked at Alana who is now looking at me intently like she’s memorizing all of my physical features.

“What?” I asked her, she just smiled before going back to what she’s doing, she’s cleaning the table.

“I’ll go now, thanks for the breakfast, you cooked great.” I told her before walking out the kitchen, tsk, that girl gave me a mini-heart attack. Why is she always like that?

When I walked towards the living room, Keliche’s already waiting for me at the sofa, so when she saw me, she immediately stood up and walked outside.

“This girl really didn’t know the word wait, isn’t she?” I whispered to myself, heaving a loud sigh before walking towards my car where she’s already standing beside the passenger door.

“You should learn how to wait for me sometimes.” I told her, she just shrugged before going inside my car after I unlocked it so I have no choice but to enter the car as well and started driving towards our work.

“Maybe I should go to Alana’s coffee shop later to apply for a job, you think?”

I looked at her when the stop light turned red,

“So, you’re really listening, huh?”

“Of course, why can’t you believe me?” She said before looking outside the window.

“Well, it’s a great help for Alana if you’ll work there. But you can only work there during night time, can you bear that?” I asked her before looking on the road again because we started moving again.

“Well, I think I can try.” She whispered but loud enough for me to hear it. Maybe she really had a problem or maybe she’s just missing her family so much.

“Are you missing them? Your family?” I asked her but she didn’t answer so I just stayed silent because I think I just hit something sensitive. Not until I heard her heaving a loud sigh, we are so close to the company building but I tried driving more slowly because it’s still early.

“It’s a long story to tell but to answer your freaking question, I don’t care about those people. I don’t even know them.” She answered, maybe the burden is really heavy for her to face life alone.

“They are still your --.”

“Don’t meddle with my life and stop asking me about those people because honestly, they mean nothing to me.” She intervened, so I sighed. Maybe I should have close my mouth since it’s not really my business to begin with. I should have respect her privacy.

“I’m sorry, Ice.” I apologized, and as we reached the parking lot. She immediately walked out and ran towards the building which made me hate myself more. Why can’t I make my mouth shut? I started smashing my head in the steering wheel, I’m a f*****g i***t. I’m so, so, so, stupid!

“Keliche, I’m sorry but I have to meddle with your life because I want to know you more, I want to marry you and I will make you mine.” I whispered to myself before fixing my face and tying my hair into a knot. This game isn’t over yet, this is just the start of making her mine. She’ll let me in her life in just a matter of time, all I have to do is to wait for her.
