True to his word, Anthony showed up the next day. Unfortunately, he spent the better part of the time doing the talking and receiving monosyllabic answers which irked him, but he curbed his irritation. He understood Julian was hurt not just by him, but also by his awful misfortune.
Anthony wasn't the only one keeping his word. Tommy did too. Right after Anthony left, Tommy dragged Julian out of the bed, and into the bathroom, threatened to bathe him if need be, helped the man get dressed, and took him to see a specialist.
After a series of tests which included a lot of light getting pointed at Julian's eyes, he was sadly diagnosed with permanent blindness as his retina had been affected. Though Julian was prepared for the worst, he couldn't stop the tears which slipped from his eyes.
