Sartin woke on the beach with Sommar lying next to him. Sartin examined Sommar in what little light, yellow, magenta, and pink hues the Princess offered. In the time they had been separated, Sommar had grown bigger with more muscles. Had the young Alewar bulked up to aid in his search and rescue?
Sartin had lost track of time he’d spent with Maru. Had it been six moon cycles? Longer? If so, it was nearly time to return to Home Cove.
Energy surged through Sartin as he understood the sacrifices Sommar had made to find him. With Sommar, Stover, and the rest of the Alewars rescuing Sartin, that meant the pods had chosen to stay at Winter Beach for the summer or would leave later. Not traveling at the correct time of the season held consequences for all.
